I moved to Ocala from Va April 1 of this year and have been to at 6 nail salons which none made it past a second visit. I came across Happy Nails and well honestly thought what do I have to lose. I went in told them what I needed done which was the works and that I had very limited time as I just got called into work. I signed in was immediately taken to begin my pedicure, while having the gel soaked off my nails. Le had me taken care of with 3 minutes to spare and everything was absolutely perfect! I normally will not post negative reviews but I was highly disappointed with my first, only, & last visit here. CJ did my pedicure and was very rushed. He asked how long I hadn't had a pedicure in because my toenails were not trimmed. Which I thought was extremely rude. My toenails were not fully painted & you could clearly see where he missed the topcoat because there was barely anything left in the bottle that he was using. My polish began peeling the same day & my nails were not properly cut. My husband was with me & there was no communication as to who was doing his pedicure & then CJ proceeded to start someone else's pedicure. I had to ask if anyone was doing his pedicure & his response was, "males don't do males feet". I wouldn't have had a problem if there would've been communication while he waited over 30 minutes to have his pedicure which was also rushed & his nails were also improperly cut. Waste of money & was not relaxing or enjoyable. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I have never had to sit through getting a full set trying not to cry of anger and pain and then being charged $53. He used so much glue that he had to saw each finger off the skin with a file, then accidentally kept sawing my hand with the electric file being careless, literally cut one of my fingers, and sawed off my cuticles. After all this, they're completely uneven and look like a child did them. Bumpy, round, and way shorter than I asked for, especially the thumb which is shorter than all of them. I had to keep pulling my hands away because it was so painful. I got in my car and screamed because this was literally the worst experience I have ever had getting my nails done, and now I get to go home with sore fingers and file my nails my self because he doesn't know how. read more

I'd give it 0 if I could I went in for a mani and peti and they told me they could and they'd do the peti first. As so they did. Then proceeded to tell me they were done with nails and will not do my mani and then charged me more then their pamphlet said a classic mani cost. I walked in to get a pedicure. Was seated in a chair and then left there for 20 mins. 2 women walked in after me and both were seated and started on. No one even attempted to even let my feet soak. They could've at least filled the tub with water. I went to the front to ask what was going on. Of course the excuse was that the other 2 women had appointments. Even if they did, they could've atleast acknowledged me. I had been to this establishment once before and had no issues. I will not be back. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. Went in for an acrylic removal and just to get a clear gel manicure, the First Lady that started on my nails was rude and judgmental about the fact that my nails were so short. I have a baby so I cannot have long nails. Then the guy who finished my nails did not completely remove the acrylic, nipped my cuticles many times, and painted the gel on my nails even with the acrylic still on them. I did not realize how bad it was until I left and my gel was already chipping while I was in my car on my way home. I called to let them know and was told to go back in when I was able to. My thumb polish was chipping so I pulled it off and realized that my nail was still covered in the of acrylic which is why the gel was chipping. If you look close at my photos you can see that the acrylic is still under the gel. The painting job was horrible, and the manicure I was given had zero effort put into it. I went in today to fix it today and sat down with any. I brought my 9 month old with me as I have no one to stay with him, he was in a sling on me. When I sat down with Amy he started to mov around so I said I'd go get the stroller instead, Amy gave me a dirty look and said yeah go get it because I can't do this. So I got up to get it but just realized that I was fed up with the entire experience, and jus ready to never go back again. I visited Happy Nails today and met with Kathy--a terrible experience--I will not be back. Very rude and quick to dismiss. Waited 20 minutes without an explanation until I inquired. The most important thing I need from a nail tech is that she cares about the health of my nails. Kathy showed no interest in my concerns. I explained that I had acrylics for over 20 years without a problem; moved to FL; and within a year I got a nail fungus. I wanted Kathy to assure me that she would do everything she could to be sure that would not happen under her care, but all she could offer was that I should remove my acrylics if I didn't want to get nail fungus...really? When I asked questions, she was clearly annoyed. Not very kind. Good luck to this salon. If Kathy is any indication on how committed the other nail techs are to being service oriented, I want no part. read more

Extremely dirty!!! I went in for a gel manicure but had to soak off my old gel manicure and they brought me a dirty cloudy bowl with used acetone and no joke there were gel particles from someone else at the bottom of the bowl!!! Who does that!!! I was shocked and told them I was not putting my hands in there and they looked at me like I was crazy. So gross Needless to say I got a new bowl and soaked them off and it ended there. I did not get a manicure there and I'm glad I didn't. I shockingly watched the woman get a manicure next to me and the tech was using unsterile tools. Ladies demand more!!! Do not accept this level of filth. To start, Anna who did my nails did a FANTASTIC job!! I called Happy Nails before going and asked how much it was for a fill with gel polish. The women who answered the phone said it was $22. I was shocked and even mentioned how cheap I thought that was. So I went and had my nails done and loved them. When I went to check out I was told it was $30. I questioned that price with being told $22 over the phone. The owner came over and told me it would have been her or another lady who I would have spoken to and was told that they wouldn't have said that and I must have misunderstood. I told her that I didn't misunderstand whomever I spoke with told me $22. She then asked if I was sure I called the right place. I then showed the call on my phone. She kept arguing with me saying I was wrong and no one would have said that. I was shocked with how argumentative she was about it. I said maybe someone else could have answered and given incorrect info. All I wanted was to point out that someone may need to get a refresher on what to say about prices over the phone. It's a shame that the one who did my nails did such a good job but the owners don't know how to talk to customers. I wasn't trying to get anything for free, just sharing with them that i was told incorrect information over the phone but all she cared about was I was wrong and it was definitely not anyone at their location who would have said that. read more
