Attention to detail shows. The vibe is hip and welcoming without being pretentious. They offer water and beverages, play trending music, and have several TVs. This salon has always charged more than others in the area. Knowing that the manager, Kelvin, openly admits he is obsessed with money and being a rich young man... the services his team provided did make it a little more worth it, at times. But, not consistent across techs so appointments help. They do have a rewards program that provides a minimal support to ongoing customers. There are times when I had an appointment but squeezing in other customers could make my appointment run 10, 20, 30 minutes late 25%-30% of the time. I am a great tipper and almost always tipped in cash, as requested by the management. Here is the kicker... When Trump started to talk tariffs... Kelvin immediately charged a considerable increase as of 04/01/25. The dip polish removal and change is now $57. Changing the polish on my toes with old product - same increase percentage. I went to Star Nails and I am sold on John's dip nails. I am 2 weeks into my second dip set and they look stellar! I also save 30%!!! less for the same service and my nails are actually consistently staying better for longer.
