You did a great job with my nail fills, and Tim does a wonderful job on pedicures. Reasonably priced and way above average in a quality job.

I agree totally with Cammie O. I got the impression from the tech that she does not like people.

When I first became a snow bird in The Villages I was concerned of finding a reliable and good nail…read moresalon. I landed on Ava Nails due to the proximity of the salon to my house. I really lucked out and had a terrific experience. When I'm in Florida I will not go to any other nail salon because it's so great. The manager/owner has excellent communication skills and is very professional. My go to nail tech is a super sweet lady named "Joleene."She does a beautiful job on me having done a pink and white dip. She is very fast and thorough plus her work is always long lasting and do not chip. Their online reservation service is set up perfectly where you can select your nail tech and time. It's quick and easy to schedule an appointment. This place is always packed and at any given moment they could have what looks like 24 employees helping clients. However despite usually being a packed salon, it never feels loud or chaotic. I'd highly recommend Ava Nails.

Firstly I'm not the kind of person that likes to complain unless I've been pushed too far. I've…read morebeen getting manicures and pedicures for 25 years on a regular basis. I bring in my own chrome powder, because most salons don't carry every color of chrome powder. I pay well $100+ to have a dip manicure and regular pedicure plus a $20 tip every 4-5 weeks. The first three times I went in, I got a different technician each time. They were all very nice ladies but within 7 to 10 days my nails would crack, chip, and peel. I decided to give them one more try so I went in and talked to the man at the reception desk and I told him every time I go in my nails don't turn out right. He assigned me to Kate who did a GREAT JOB the first two times. however on the third time I noticed she did not put my nails under the ultraviolet light after each coat. I think she had forgotten this very important step, so she put my nails under the light AFTER applying all the coats. I had a gut feeling that my nails were going to start chipping and peeling, and low and behold they did within 10 days. I decided to go back in and get the problem corrected. I'm a very busy person, and it takes a chunk out of my day to go back in and get this issue corrected. When I finally got back in to see her, she blamed the peeling/chipping on my chrome powder! She refused to acknowledge she made a mistake, and to add insult to injury she told me she would charge me the next time this happens, and refused to use my chrome powder. I felt like a little child being scolded. Now I'll need to travel out of the Eastport area to find a nail salon that does quality work.

Girl does a great job, only problem is that she is a solo business owner, so it makes it difficult…read moreto get in.

This one was difficult…read more I scheduled a pedi for mom and myself Friday October 8, but had to cancel. The person on the phone was very understanding and polite and we rescheduled for the following Wednesday at the same time, 1:30 p.m. She had mentioned wanting to have a pedicure and since I'm new to the area, I wanted to give the place up the road a try. You know, support a small business, etc. When I was told that there was only one technician, I shrugged it off and was glad to give her the business. I would later regret that decision. We arrived right on time and there was another client, which normally I wouldn't care, but we had to sit in uncomfortable silence waiting. Mom is used to a salon with a lot of people working, like before COVID and I tried to explain that businesses have had to lay people off, or can't afford too many people. Still, I had a sinking feeling she would be disappointed and I was right. Since I come from a service background, I find myself continuously walking the tightrope between making excuses for bad service and excusing it. This was not bad service, just the perfect storm of our manicurist being behind schedule and my mom being extremely particular. The salon is beautiful and immaculate. "V" was extremely polite, professional and talented. But needs to manage her time better. We opted not to have polish, just a quick clean-up, then V suggested Paraffin for mom. I just kept agreeing to everything. The pedicure was ok, but there was no massage, which is half the reason I go. (I guess it's extra, but since we forwent the polish, I thought just even 5 minutes would be nice.) It was $90 with tip. Lesson learned, take mom to the spa, go to pedi alone.
