Was way overcharged after having my nails done frequently at this location. I will chose a different place for my next visit

I had pedicure done today. My technician was too occupied watching a video on his phone. He would start doing the massage, then just stopped, watching video. It was very unpleasant experience. They are not cheap, and to get subpar service is not expected at their prices. Manager did not say anything when I told him, just :"Sorry". I understand I am one of many, but come on, I am a paying customer at the end of the day read more

I really like this salon. It is large and bright and has many nail techs. They have massaging chairs for pedicures. I can't really comment on the other techs, since I have my one go to girl that I've been seeing for over a year. But the people getting their nails done on either side of her always have really nice nails too. I like that I can get a design on my nails and that they have a lot of colors to choose from. I always get dip powder and it lasts for several weeks and never lifts off or peels. The pedicures are relaxing also. I love using the massage feature on the chairs to truly relax. The pricing is comparable to other local nail salons and you can make your appointment online read more

5 * for a beautiful shop. 3 * for no one spoke English after appt set. When speaking to them - they don't understand and obvious they must not engage, which is OK, business minded but never understands a question. 1* for UNCLEAN UTENSILS. It was so obvious there were skin cells on the nail drill. Obvious that the utensils are not sterilized as advertised. Not worth any amount of money to get a skin infection. Overall - the place was packed with women, young and old, obviously enjoying the experience.........until they get a nail or skin infection. read more

I had a manicure with lynn and then later in the week a hot stone pedicure with Lena Both great conversationalists and great technicians. Nice shop and can book online read more

When I first became a snow bird in The Villages I was concerned of finding a reliable and good nail salon. I landed on Ava Nails due to the proximity of the salon to my house. I really lucked out and had a terrific experience. When I'm in Florida I will not go to any other nail salon because it's so great. The manager/owner has excellent communication skills and is very professional. My go to nail tech is a super sweet lady named "Joleene."She does a beautiful job on me having done a pink and white dip. She is very fast and thorough plus her work is always long lasting and do not chip. Their online reservation service is set up perfectly where you can select your nail tech and time. It's quick and easy to schedule an appointment. This place is always packed and at any given moment they could have what looks like 24 employees helping clients. However despite usually being a packed salon, it never feels loud or chaotic. I'd highly recommend Ava Nails. read more

I was a six minutes late for my appointment and apologized, but the technician repeatedly scolded me throughout the service, making the experience very uncomfortable. I understand the importance of punctuality, but professionalism and customer service matter too. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. I spend easily over $200 a month a in no way should anyone be treated that way. read more

Today I got my eyebrows and nails done by Annie. She does such a nice job. Friendly and precise with her work. read more

I got a regular manicure, no gel. The technician brought out his dremel tool and GROUND OFF THE SURFACE OF MY NAILS. I had started with no polish so no need at all to remove anything. I found it odd but didn't realize what the repercussions would be. Now I have nails that barely get beyond the ends of my fingers before they tear at the sides. I'm furious because it will take 3-6 months for them to grow past this and get back to my original thickness. read more

Firstly I'm not the kind of person that likes to complain unless I've been pushed too far. I've been getting manicures and pedicures for 25 years on a regular basis. I bring in my own chrome powder, because most salons don't carry every color of chrome powder. I pay well $100+ to have a dip manicure and regular pedicure plus a $20 tip every 4-5 weeks. The first three times I went in, I got a different technician each time. They were all very nice ladies but within 7 to 10 days my nails would crack, chip, and peel. I decided to give them one more try so I went in and talked to the man at the reception desk and I told him every time I go in my nails don't turn out right. He assigned me to Kate who did a GREAT JOB the first two times. however on the third time I noticed she did not put my nails under the ultraviolet light after each coat. I think she had forgotten this very important step, so she put my nails under the light AFTER applying all the coats. I had a gut feeling that my nails were going to start chipping and peeling, and low and behold they did within 10 days. I decided to go back in and get the problem corrected. I'm a very busy person, and it takes a chunk out of my day to go back in and get this issue corrected. When I finally got back in to see her, she blamed the peeling/chipping on my chrome powder! She refused to acknowledge she made a mistake, and to add insult to injury she told me she would charge me the next time this happens, and refused to use my chrome powder. I felt like a little child being scolded. Now I'll need to travel out of the Eastport area to find a nail salon that does quality work. read more

I received a gel manicure with the two days on my nails started chipping. They did not pay any attention to the cuticle area. I had to go back several times to get my nails fixed. The place was clean. They seemed very attempted, but the Quality just did not measure up. read more

The tech used a metal file on me and set it on the floor. Then later rinsed it off with water (not even soap) and put it back in a drawer for use on the next client. My tech was clearly going through the motions trying to get finished as quickly as possible. read more

Walked in without an appointment and was immediately seated for a pedicure. The quality of the pedicure was above average. It's the largest nail salon I'd ever been in with many stations full. Clean, nicely lite and decorated. I was pleased there weren't dozens of tvs with trashy programming. read more

i've been going to Sophia at Ava nails on Everglades Lane for the past two years and always had a positive experience except for the last two times. Today is the last time I will be requesting Sophia. I had a dip manicure by Sophia, when I get to the register I was charged $50 instead of $45 and when I questioned it, she said it was because my nails were long which they are not, I just measured and they are only 1/4 of an inch. I've never been charged this before. The gentleman at the register questioned Sophia and she confirmed that they were long when I ishowed him my nail length and he questioned Sophia. I told her ia five dollars worth losing a customer of over two years and her response was OK and walked away so I will not be returning to her. I always requested Sophia because she gave a great hand massage afterwards that has also gone downhill. Very disappointed in the service, read more

Ava Nails - Charged extra For having quarter inch nails. - Nail Salons Near Me - Wildwood, Florida

The worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done. Ruby spent only 15 minutes on an acrylic refill, then sent me to my nails before applying polish. I noticed a couple of areas that hadn't been properly filled and asked her to fix them. She worked on them, found another, and sent me back. I found three more areas that hadn't been properly filled. I left without finishing because I am convinced that these nails are going to pop off. I have to have them done somewhere else because I am leaving town soon and don't want to deal with them on my trip The receptionist told me she was going to charge me $30 for the service, and then she charged me $35. Fortunately, I was taping her when she said this. I disputed this entire charge on my credit card as the service was not properly provided and sent a copy of the below pictures. Update: An hour later, I had a great technician at LaVie Salon in Colony (search Paradise Nails) repair my nails and they look amazing. Thanks, Koi! read more

Expensive and deceitful. Charged me $10 for a tiny chip on my toe by using an acrylic fill that that they did not say they were charging extra for. Do you know what I paid for an acrylic repair on that same toe up North??? Nothing!!! I paid nothing! They just fixed it for free as it should be. This business is taking advantage of their customers. I will not return and by the looks of the place and the lack of customers in there neither are others. I will also be spreading the word. I'm so mad. Establishments like this think the people living in the villages are made of unlimited money for them to steal. Shameful! read more

One of the best dip manicures I have ever had. Melissa was professional with awesome attention to detail. Will def. go back again!

They always are available, friendly, and all are very good, I have gone there since they opened up. The facility is always clean and it has an appealing atmosphere. It is a "golf cart" ride within my house, which is an advantage. I always get gel polish for my pedicure and powder dip for my manicure. read more

Horrible job on my dip nails. Tech was surly. The dip hardly lasted a week before it began to peel off.

$117 for a gel mani pedi????? I was on a time crunch the tech knew it half way through the procedure she went and worked on someone else. Making me late. My nails look incredible but at the rate of $117???? Never going back. read more

I couldn't get them to understand I wanted gel nails. They kept wanting to put foil on my nails. I never had that before, I use to get gel nails all the time up north and never had foil on them. Very pleased with my pedicure. The place was clean, tubs had liners and instruments were autoclaved. My appointment was on time.

Made an appointment for 9 am and arrived at 8:50. Checked in and was the only person not seated right away. Waited 20 minutes and asked why they hadn't called me. They said they didn't have anyone to do my pedi. I asked why they didn't bother to tell me when I checked in. Why make an appointment if they can't honor it? Nobody apologized or acted like they cared. Will never return. read more

The front desk is not friendly, one or two pedicure stylists are ok but on the whole not customer friendly or worth the price

Worst pedicure of my life. Tech spent 20 minutes total. Didn't even file my nails, took off zero dead skin and the paint job was awful. When I asked them to fix it, they acted annoyed. What a waste of money. I was there with my girls who both got services yet they could care less. What a waste of over $200. read more

found this place because I moved to the area and this was the closest. very mediocre for the high price. Went twice for acrylic fills, first time was the owner I think and the nail lengths were not even but it was an ok job. The second visit was with the guy sitting in back (tony?), fill & pedi. I had to keep correcting him on both and once I got home and put my glasses on, its probably the worst nails I have had and definitely not worth the prices they are charging. Wish I had gone elsewhere...very disappointing and wasted money. Signature nails in Lake Sumter is much better and costs less.. go figure ;( read more

Technicians are good. However, there needs to be a receptionist to handle the calls and appointments. If all techs are busy, you can stand and wait a while before anyone acknowledges you. Morning appointments are best if you don't want to wait 30 minutes for an available tech. read more
