The salon is very comfortable and inviting, the pricing is fair and the overall experience was fine. The reason I am leaving a 2 star review is because I came in for a full set manicure. I sat down with a tech who told me she could do the checkered design (pictured) and was comfortable. She helped me pick the two colors and got started. During the filing process she made my cuticles bleed on three fingers. She did apologize, but the appointment only got more uncomfortable from there. When she pulled out the plastic tips to put on my nails for the set, she made a comment that my nails are too small and that she would have to trim down the tips. She then took small scissors and cut both sides of the plastic tip off and glued them onto my nails. There was no curve to them, they were very rectangular. She attempted the design twice before insisting it did not look good and told me that I needed to choose a new color. I told her I liked the design, she told me she felt it was not pronounced enough and insisted we use black. I told her that I didn't like black, it was just too dark for me but after her persistence I agreed to try it. She created the look with the black in place and then outlined in white. I thought it looked nice and was not upset at all about it afterward. When washing my hands at home after the visit I realized that all of the nails were very jumpy and had bubbles in them. My pinkie on my left hand was completely warped and basically flat because of the way she trimmed the tip. I had no time to go back and after that experience I truly didn't want to. I ended up going to another salon, which looked at my nails and before I could even tell them what happened, they told me that the nails I had needed total reforming and fixing before I could get a fill. When I told them what was done, they were in total shock. This could have been a fluke, maybe she was new or overwhelmed but I will not be returning. read more

I am visiting the area and needed to have a pedicure, bad! I called and was told to come right in. Once I arrived, I was immediately seated for the pedicure by a very sweet lady. She was extremely thorough, consistently going over everything. Honestly, I can say, I had the best pedicure I've ever had here!! Reading some reviews I was a bit nervous whether to come in. The lady on the phone was super nice and quickly helped me set my appointment. When I arrived it was quiet and only two others were there. I then signed in and was sat down right away for a soak off. Hannah did my pedicure and she was fantastic! Super thorough and gentle. She takes her time while doing so. After Tracy took care of me for my nails with a full set and super cute design. Also very thorough with the service and professional. Overall 10/10 recommend. read more

There are Nail Salons in every plaza in Ocala. Unfortunately I have tried most of them and left disappointed. My luck changed with great surprise after I found Tiki's. Vince (new management) the owner is hands on and pleasant. You are valued as a patron and greeted accordingly. No over bookings where you are left sitting or waiting. Mai (My) has been my technician and she is amazing. She listens, speaks English, and gives a beautiful mani-pedi. I don't get gel, I have my natural nails. I don't know if that will make a difference with the service quality. The salon is clean and well maintained, as well as competitively priced. Give it a try and see for yourself. I am genuinely surprised of negative reviews. I'm thinking it may have been under old management or an off day. read more

Past three times I've been here I keep saying I won't come back but I keep getting invited with friends so I keep giving chances and it's still not great last time I was here I got a full set when in the middle of my set another guest got very upset and claimed she was being charged more than what she was originally told and what was on the board and stormed out after getting into a yelling match with the older man doing my nails. He proceeded on my nails clearly pissed off and not caring anymore. I asked for purple french tips and even brought multiple reference pictures but I saw him doing the first nail white tip. I told him no I wanted purple and he roughly wiped off the white going off on me under his breath. When he gets up to get the other color I notice little black brush hairs in the clear acrylic. I pointed it out and he said it'll be fine. I felt super uncomfortable and the nails turned out so bad I immediately went home and soaked them off. That was 2022. The other day (2023) I went again after being invited by my mother in law to get a basic pedicure. I should've known it was a mistake. The pedicure was very rough when removing gel polish. and the new color I got was so sheer and patchy after only one coat. I was rushed out since their was a lot of guests waiting to be helped and noticed how bad the polish job was in the car. Seriously never again. Go to avalon or literally anywhere else. I am so pleasantly surprised by how great my nails look! I walked into this place when I visiting Ocala because I broke a nail and wanted to get it fixed. I love my nail girl at home and just thought this would be a quick fix but I was so impressed with the quality and attention to detail! This place is just not it! I went in to get my acrylic nails taken off and get S&S on. Instead he just left the old grown out acrylic on my nails and painted right over it. He didn't clean up around my cuticles at all. Hands down the worst manicure I've EVER had. Not to mention, they were just not friendly. read more

Looking for an awesome place to get a mani/pedi? Well, this place isn't it. I walked-in because I don't know any places here. The only people doing a spa pedicure were two men. I hate having men do my pedi! I've had spa pedicures regularly from where I moved from, so I'm not a novice to this. The man doing my pedicure did nothing but talk to the man next to him while doing a cursory job on me. And, god forbid, the TV had The View on it. My person did very little to my feet. No callus removal or massage, except a little on my calves. I got a pumice scrub. The "spa" part with the hot towels took about 30 seconds, just laid on top of my calves. The whole pedicure took maybe 20 minutes, polish and all. Meanwhile the woman next to me is getting her feet vigorously massaged, toes pulled, hot towels wrapped around her calves, scrubs, lotion, callus removal. The whole enchilada. When my guy said I was done I compared mine to the lady next to me - whose procedure was still being done. He told me she had paid for one hour and if I wanted more I could give him more money. Wow! $25 might not seem like a lot to some, but I want to get my money's worth. I walked out of there vowing never to return. read more
