I'm so glad I live so close to this amazing boba location! I've been here on busy days and on slower days. I wet by yesterday and I was the only customer. The facility and inside is kept nice and clean. I was able to order my drink and received it quickly. I adjusted my sweetness level and ice level! The drink came out tasting amazing! I enjoy just the plain boba milk tea! It's rich in flavor and not watered down! Thank you! Very good! read more

Very good boba tea and consistent quality. I have been a patron for quite a few year now and my family has always enjoyed drinks from Happy Lemon. Their drinks are somewhat different from regular tea shops and do not emphasize on tea; rather they have milky drinks, yakult drinks, fruity drinks, and smoothies. If it's tea you like then you probably will prefer another place, still Happy Lemon offers customers other options and has been pretty successful in doing so. I like their yakult series cuz I don't like my drinks too "heavy". I usually prefer tea but can still enjoy Happy Lemon from time to time. read more

I have visited this location several times now and it's been consistent in terms of quality and customer service. My kids love the bubble waffle so much that I have decided to order for my son's class party for his birthday coming up. I decided to write a review today because Kai stand out especially. My kids dropped the milk tea inside and outside the store. He was very patient and willing to make another drink. I got embarrassed to have him cleanup both places. I will definitely come back again and had spread words to the people at Soo studio close by to come visit this place to grab a quick snack before or after class. read more

It was my second time having a happy lemon boba but what is this? Boba was not boba. It was all stick together like rice cake and it was impossible to drink through the straw. So, I cut open the drink only to find this. The boba was all stuck together. This is unacceptable for a boba shop that sells boba. read more

More like a 3.5 but I'll round up because I was really impressed with the manager's customer service. TLDR: There was a lot of confusion with the cashier but Nam, the manager, tried his best to correct the mistakes and get our order right. We still had one incorrect drink in the end but given all the frustration/confusion we kinda just wanted to get our order and get out. Considering it's their first day I think confusion is bound to happen esp with bulk orders, but I thought the kitchen staff were surprisingly fast and Nam did his best to make sure we were happy. He handled it really well. I also rly like the way they make their boba milk tea puff cream! It's rly good! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Today is grand opening so there's a bogo deal (2 per person). We thought we would make it easy and order almost all the drinks to be the same so that it would minimize any confusion. Four black lemon teas with no lemon skin/no toppings. Three green lemon teas no lemon skin/toppings and one cream puff with boba. The only modification to the drinks is not to add the lemon skin. This is what I usually order at happy lemon and I say the exact same thing everytime. The cashier did ask me to check but I could not click on the screen to see the entire order but admittedly, the text did look confusing to me, I decided to roll with it thinking my order was easy. The first time I was charged it was $28 and I was just waiting for my receipt. But then the screen loaded again and showed a $24 charge. I double checked with the cashier, but she said I would be charged $24. But idky I even had 2 charges and the cashier didn't explain anything. I decided to check my bank now instead of later and I saw two charges. The other staff also seemed confused why the two charges were different amounts. Nam (manager) came out to help and said to not worry, when the cycle ends the first charge will not appear, he was very nice about it. However when we got our order, I was shocked to see almost all the drinks but one had modification errors (had lemon skin and toppings). & We were missing 2 drinks. Nam understood what we wanted and helped us fix it and asked us to reorder our missing drinks. & We had to do a bit back and forth again with the cashier because I didn't see the second/BOGO drink on the screen and then I saw a $12 charge for two drinks. But Nam made sure it was entered correctly and that my order was correct. In the end the lingering mistake was we had 3 black lemon teas with no lemon skin and the 4th should've been the same, but we ended up getting another green lemon tea. But we didn't want to push it, it's still BOGO after all. I think happy lemon is a great addition to San Ramon since I'm not a fan of boba guys. & I'm sure they just need time to work out kinks. I really appreciate that Nam was patient and explained the receipt/charges to us. read more

Trustworthy Boba! We ordered the D6. Ube Milk Tea with Taro Puff Cream & Boba S1. Fresh Passion Fruit Mango Green Tea We absolutely loved our drinks. My partner was weary of of boba and avoided it because he thought it would be gross but he absolutely loved it. The only issue is they were out of green tea for the S1 and out of the Taro balls for the D6. We definitely want to experience the drinks exactly as they were created. The space was very clean and the sign was very welcoming. The customer service was exceptional and we would love to try other flavors here. read more

I usually like to come here on my way home after a long, hard day of work. Might go to is the Oreo milk tea with zero sugar, and zero ice. Ordered S2 Fresh Dragonfruit Lychee Juice with Salted Cheese for me, G3 Mango Yukult Smoothie for hubby, (2) H5 Mango Lemon Slushy for kids, and a Chocolate Bubble Waffle to share. Service was friendly and fairly quick. Ask for their frequent customer card to earn free drinks. The Bubble Waffle was delicious. I really enjoyed my Dragonfruit drink. Hubby like his Yukult smoothie, but even at 50% sweet thought it was too sweet. Daughter liked her Mango lemon slushy, but found it a bit in the sour side. Son didn't care for the sourness of the Mango lemon slushy at all and only finished 1/2 of it. I would definitely like to try some of their other drinks, so I'll be back. read more

I've had probably 10 different drinks from this Happy Lemon and they've never missed! The milk tea with cheese foam is my go to at the moment but their fruit drinks during the hot summer months are so refreshing. Staff are always nice too and consistent. Out of all the boba spots I've been to this is my favorite. Not only are the drinks consistently made and the restaurant clean, but the staff is always friendly and efficient. We've enjoyed getting to know the owners who are welcoming and personable. I go to this San Ramon location every day if not every other day so I'm a regular. Not only the drinks were made consistently with great quality, the store owners are very friendly and accommodating. They always greeted me with smiles. This place is clean and well maintained. All of the employees are friendly and welcoming. I'd say I ordered my drinks via Happy Lemon apps 80% of the time and rarely had to wait long when picking up. Always a breeze! Great place to get the delicious drinks and bubble waffles. read more

So I was so confused at first....salted cheese? It made me think of cheese curds in a drink? Well the staff are super friendly and didn't laugh me out of the store and offered a sample. It's a salty slight cheese essence foam and I thought what the heck let's give it a go. My brain is saying no while my moth is saying yes while I'm downing this wonderful drink. If you are feeling adventurous just want basic bubble tea this is the place to try. read more

We've come half a dozen times since this location opened. The headline here is CONSISTENCY!!! I live down the street and although Blackhawk was the closest to me before they were so inconsistent I would go to Pleasanton instead. Not the problem here...it's legit San Jose quality & consistency The drinks are made cleanly; they're not coming to me hella sticky, the boba is nice and chewy and the drink is actually made correctly as ordered and last but not least taste like drinks I've had from other franchises. The owners John and Jordan take pride in their store and are super nice. We had the opportunity to meet them while waiting for our drinks and now my husband has a new golf buddy ‍ What I like most about Happy Lemon is the freshness and not using powdered flavors and overly sweetening their drinks like some other places. My go to drinks are the B2, C2 and H1 with black tea. I like my drinks tart. Within a 10 min drive there's another Happy Lemon, Boba Guys, Boba Bliss, Share Tea and Lilikoi Boba and honestly I'm not wowed by any of them. Like I'll go to them if I have to but now I don't have to settle for mediocre boba. We moved to SR about 2 years ago and FINALLY FINALLY found out boba spot. read more

Came across this new Happy Lemon location after a trip to Costco and what a great surprise! I ordered the Grapefruit Yakult with lychee jelly and my brother ordered the Ube Milk Tea with Taro puff cream and boba. Both drinks were delicious and the service was excellent. I think the manager was training his staff when we stopped by (they said the store just opened 3 days ago!) - I could feel the excitement and positivity all around. Plenty of parking in the lot and a few tables inside to sit at while waiting for your drinks. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Went in close to closing and the manager greeted me with a smile and was happy to answer questions about the menu. Got the waffle which was made to order, warm and fluffy!! Ume Tea is located in the Safeway shopping center right off of Crow Canyon. It's in the midst of…read morequite a few other places that offers snacks, food and drinks all around it. However, you're not going to find a cuter looking store than this in the area, so can't miss it. Ume offers the boba variety and will have the typical snacks that accompanies it. While no major food options, it's quite literally next to a sando place, and other food spots so you don't necessarily have to get a meal meal here. As mentioned before, Ume's play is definitely on the cute angle. I've been to their other locations and it's the same thing basically. This location does have a few seating inside albeit no big tables, and a few seating outside with a bigger table. The decor, from the seating pillow, to the wall design, to the cute mascots on the cups, it's all very coordinated at the very least. Price wise, it's not bad. Compared to Sharetea which is also in this shopping center, it's about comparable, though perhaps slightly cheaper, but not by much. Drink option wise, Sharetea is going to have more options of course, but Ume also has a good variety. Service here is good, just not friendly. You can just order yourself on the screen, but the people who work there really won't want to interact with you other than bringing out the order. They will at least pretend to work out half a smile when they feel like it, but otherwise they'll sort of just be doing their own thing most of the time I've been here. The drinks here are pretty decent. I've mostly gotten the milk teas when I've been here, and all in all, they've been real tasty. The combination of taste from the mixing was well done. The boba here is also quite good. Well made and certainly on par with Sharetea's boba if you need to compare, but slightly different, in a good way. All in all, Ume is a fine option for boba if you're in the area, and don't feel like Sharetea. Their drinks are priced relative to the area's offerings, and drink quality has also been good. However, one thing to note is that if you don't get the large cup, they unfortunately use the mini cups for regular size, which at the price for the upgrade, doesn't really make much sense unless you just want less, which in this case it'll work out. But just know, regular size here are small.

Thankfully, the gentleman behind the counter handled it with so much grace. He quickly took our order on the spot, had our drinks ready in record time, and even offered complimentary mochi donuts. I declined out of sheer embarrassment, but my daughter accepted one (churro flavor), and loved it. The drinks themselves were excellent: the brown sugar crème brûlée with konjac jelly was rich and satisfying, and the pineapple green tea with lychee and konjac jelly was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Between the cute vibe, quality drinks, and genuinely kind service, this place left a great impression. A small hiccup on my end, but they turned it into a standout experience.

The soft serve had an intensely creamy flavor with a high milk content and while the honey enjoyed his Thai milk tea boba, the style of my mango cup was not for me (although the fish cone option is very cute). We ordered from a tablet at the front and the service was prompt and friendly. I'd love to see them add in some outside seating as beyond the Starbucks, there's no seating in this shopping center. All in all, we may come back to order food but sadly it just wasn't a good match for the type of ice cream I enjoy.

I really wanted to mention this first, lol, I usually rave about the food at the places I eat at but as soon as I came in here and saw where I was about to eat my food it heightened my dining experience and I wanted to acknowledge that. The food absolutely delivers. The banh mi sandwiches are big, meaty and fresh with a baguette that's soft inside and perfectly crunchy outside. I've also had the grilled pork chop rice plate which came with generous portions and all the right sides. The pho is top-notch, flavorful broth, great temperature that doesn't burn your tongue and plenty of meat and beef balls. Service is fast and efficient, even during lunch hour and I was able to enjoy a full meal and get back to work on time. I'm genuinely delighted every time I eat here and definitely plan to come back when I'm not watching the clock so closely. Highly recommended.
