Impromptu lunch date and due to a little time crunch issue we couldn't go far from Queens and thus Hapisgah was recommended and was our choice! I like the iPad style menus they now offer and also loved that their menu, as diverse in cuisine as it was, didn't have a crazy amount of options to make your head spin. Clear winners were the tender baby chicken kabob, the super flavorful and juicy minced beef kabob and the addictive housemade hummus with sauteed onions and mushrooms generously seasoned with shawarma seasoning. The schnitzel had a nice crunchy bite to it and their cold salads were spot on too! Loved the tumeric laced pickled cabbage. Will definitely be back!

The first time I dined here was a few years ago, with Mommy and Hubby. This time we came back for a family event. We dined outside. They ordered dipped eggplant for the table and then we ordered entrees from the menu. I had chicken legs with couscous and vegetable, Mommy had a chicken kebab, and Hubby had Angel hair pasta with chicken and mushroom. I liked my chicken better than a kebab. Even Mommy liked my dish better too. Hubby's dish was ot, it's not Italian style cooking. The taste of the pasta was very different. The eggplant dip was one of the best!

Came on a late weekday afternoon to celebrate a co-worker's retirement. Place was relatively empty since it was in between lunch and dinner, but I heard it gets super packed in the evening with lines going out the door, so you better make a reservation if you plan on going for dinner! Service- excellent! We were greeted right away as we entered and our server was on top of things. He refilled our waters quickly and was always nearby if we needed something. They also gave us some dessert since we were there for a special occasion and helped us take some great photos. Food- most of us ordered the lunch special for our entree, which is such a great deal! I got the $15 chicken marsala dish, which came with a choice of 1 side (white rice, yellow rice, rosemary potatoes, or string beans & carrots). The food was plentiful as I was able to save a portion for lunch the next day. The chicken was super tender and flavorful. The sauce was a bit watery/light, but I enjoyed the dish overall. For appetizers, we got a mix of their 5 salads. SO DELICIOUS. I highly recommend it. The baba ganoush is great! Their menu (all on an iPad) is quite diverse, with a little something for everyone. Worth a visit if you're in the area or if you're looking for a decent kosher restaurant.

Line cook, maskless, breathing over a plate of food as well as the communal salad station that folks are served

I went to Hapisgah to pick up take out. I was literally horrified. The managers are all running around maskless. The cooks behind the counter, literally breathing over all the multitude of salads they serve to their guests, maskless. Mask wearing is not enforced by its employees OR to its guests - many of whom were traipsing all around the restaurant maskless. It is literally a Petri dish and every night dining there, a potential super spreader. I felt like I walked into 2018. It's a shame. We'll never get the virus under control with establishments and mindsets like this and it just ruins it for the other restaurants trying to stay open and follow rules. SHAME SHAME SHAME. They had to unfortunately be reported to 311 and I would encourage others who dare to go and expose themselves to the Rona also call 311 and report them if this behavior continues.

The best steakhouse in queens, period! The selections of entrees are mind boggling, lets not even talk about the running chip lava cake too&@) The price is so worth it, atmosphere and staff are wonderful. I will be eating here at least a few times a month :)

But you get a fly that joins you for the meal it flies near you, on the walls on the tables and on your dishes and the restaurant offers me to come back to the restaurant and get back the tip money that I paid. I think the waiter should keep the tip because I trapped the fly and the waiter removed the fly from my table

He helped me plan the menu and made great suggestions. We did kani salad, house salad, buffalo chicken appetizers, sushi platters. Mani course was terriyaki chicken, polyesian and malyasian steak, helzog steak. Came with side dishes of fries, mash potatoes, rice and veggies. The steaks were out of this world. Very flavorful. Everything we got was delicious. Sushi and salads was very fresh. Our waitress was very nice. Always smiling and attentive. Mike was always there make sure we were happy and that everything went smoothly. All my guests complimented how wonderful everything was, espically the food. The restaurant itself it's so beautiful. The fish tank is stunning. Makes you enjoy your meal that much more. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Whether it's a nice dinner, date night or party. Food and decor is amazing. Definitely worth it.

The prices are a bit on the steep side but you're getting quality. Call in advance for large parties as their dining room is tiny. Like 10-15 tables tiny. Our party of seven luckily had to wait a few minutes but otherwise it was quick! Edit - I feel the need to disclose a few things. 1. The server recommended a smoked rack of lamb. Did not disclose the price normally I don't balk at prices but the cost of the lamb was $258.42 which is exorbitantly high. The server had a responsibility to disclose the price especially if it's that high. Just because we did not ask does not mean it's okay to just charge it. For reference 3 lamb chops was $80.00. The plate shown in my pictures most certainly did not contain 9 lamb chops. I would have been better off ordering 3 full entrees instead of the entire rack. 2. The restaurant never disclosed a "large party" fee. Sure its customary to have automatic gratuity applied to a party of "xyz or more" but to charge 20% for a large party ( 3 kids 4 adults) and then top off the 18% gratuity is absolutely poor taste. The fee was never disclosed, nor was it posted anywhere. These two reasons will more than likely prohibit me from returning. I wish them well in their future endeavors but to pull these types of business practices you will certainly run into future issues.

As we waited on our food he came over to our table for a good 15 minutes talking about going into e-commerce and baiting us to try whatever financial commerce stuff he does. The entire time he completely ignored the ladies at our table and only acknowledged the men sitting there. Later he brought out the plate because we ended up getting the chiefs platter (most expensive item on menu) and it was SMALL all of the sides were EXTREMELY small and we couldn't even substitute certain meats we wanted in our meal. He came back later to talk again and took out his vape to smoke in front of us. Once our $400 bill was brought to us (he didn't even tell us about INCLUDED gratitude in check) he was hesitant to even give back our change from our payment. Lastly, when we asked to use the bathroom we had to go THROUGH THE KITCHEN to use the bathroom in the back. The food was decent but the hospitality was terrible and unprofessional. Way too overpriced and embarrassing even. Our servers name was Josh btw.

The manager (or owner, not sure) lady was super friendly and gave us some recommendations, some of which we followed. We ordered the rice pilaf, which was moist, soft but not overcooked, and amazingly seasoned. The roasted eggplant in tahini was terrific; it was roasted to perfection with no bitterness that sometimes eggplant could have if undercooked. The carrot salad was spicy yet refreshing. Lastly we had the beef luyla kabab (the ground beef kabab) and Pargit (young chicken) thighs kabab which both were melting in our mouths. You didn't need teeth for that. Again, its easy to overcook over the grill, but not when you know what you're doing. The offered their home compote for a refreshing beverage, which was indeed appropriate for this summer day and without the extra sweetness most compost have. Don't judge it for being Glatt Koaher. It will take any doubts, if you have any, with your first bite! In conclusion: come hungry, you'd want to eat everything on the menu. I took the takeout menu as I know I'll order some, given I live in the neighborhood. My apologies, we forgot to take a pic of the kababs!

I tired their brisket sandwich - a bit fatty, but very tasty, but expensive ($23) for the portion size they give you compared to the "big" Jewish delis like Katz's, Second Avenue, Mill Basin, David's Brisket House, Sarge's, etc. Those delis are about 25% more expensive, but they give you at least double the portion. But I'm really glad we still have this place because the area is turning into a vast majority of chain fast food garbage. The other kind of weird thing about this place is that they're open 9am-6:30pm weekdays and 9am-5:30pm weekends, but they don't serve any breakfast foods AFAIK. Do people eat knishes for breakfast? I'd love to see them open more like 11:30-9pm, so I could grab a snack or dinner late in the day. Also, they need to clean up the front of the store which is quite messy and doesn't lend itself to sitting and eating.

It had an oddly fishy taste when it should've been rich and buttery. It also lacked proper seasoning, so we ended up sending it back. For the entree, we ordered the dry aged porterhouse, priced at nearly $200. We asked for medium, but it came out well done, which was a letdown. The chimichurri didn't taste authentic, and while the signature steak sauce was fine, it wasn't anything memorable. We also ordered a side of bacon, which was decent but I've had better. The chili prawn noodles were another miss. It came with only four shrimp, wasn't spicy at all, and used spaghetti noodles, which felt off for the dish. The only real highlights were the creamed spinach and shishito peppers. Those were solid and you just can't go wrong with it. At best, I'd recommend coming here for the cocktails and the view. The food alone doesn't justify it. I added an extra star strictly because of the service. Shirley was excellent. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great wine recommendations. Very accommodating and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience better overall.
