I love Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse I've done both indoor and outdoor dining here and both experiences were great. I'm a big fan of their crab cakes they are always cooked perfectly and you can never go wrong with the tomahawk steak especially paired with a glass of red wine. For sides I usually get the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes they are creamy and soft I love it and this time I had tried the crispy rice with Ahi Tuna, Hamachi, Wasabi Aioli .The ambiance feels intimatemaking it a nice spot for date night or just treating yourself to a great dinner. Service is 10/10 the servers are always attentive and make sure everything is taken care of. There's street parking nearby with metered spots, and overall you really get your money's worth here.

Came here around 4pm before going to an event. Had the Caesar. The waiter got the filet on top which was the lunch menu. I really appreciated it and the steak melted in my mouth. My friend got chicken on the Caesar. Sat upstairs and loved it. Service great.

In the city for some business that concluded early. A guy in my group has a daughter in school uptown. So we decide to get her out for the night, anywhere she wants, and she picked Del Frisco's. It was my first time but its reputation preceded my visit and it completely delivered. Professional staff, good location, and great food is always a great combination. Steaks (including the Wagyu fillet) all around. Great apps, tasty drinks, and delicious desserts made for an awesome impromptu night out.

This is a tough review to write. We came for dinner last night after watching a show. The staff was spectacular. Everyone from the hostess to our server was amazing and attentive. The espresso martini was excellent. We shared the bone in ribeye and the mashed potatoes and both were a little lackluster. I think it was because they were both really heavy on the pepper which isn't really our favorite. The steak was cooked to perfection though and had a nice char. I'd recommend if you are into pepper forward steaks.

The show ended at 10:00 which was too late for many popular steakhouses but this place was open until 11:00 and had good reviews. Perfect ending to my day in NYC. Beautiful space across from Radio City Music Hall. I was immediately seated and Peter was at my table asking about water. Expertly crafted martini to begin my experience. With Peter's guidance I settled on lobster bisque and a Waygu fillet. The soup was excellent and the cup was much larger than I've had in other restaurants. It was delicious and had some nice big chunks of lobster. The filet was absolutely perfectly cooked to medium rare and not overly seasoned like in so many other restaurants. Everything was outstanding.

Del Friscos is no longer the place it used to be to be. The ambience was impaired by what looked like construction or renovation on one of the bar areas and they set up a make shift across from it. The service was lackluster. He never offered what Easter menu they had for the day or what wines would be best for the meal. The food was good , despite the fact that I wasn't given a 16oz NY strip cut of beef instead of the prime rib as requested. When I asked was there a mistake made I was told no. I know my steak and that wasn't prime rib. I was hungry so I ate it. My wife wasn't happy with her lamb chops and finished off my steak. My son was happy as along as he wasn't being forced to try anything he didn't want. ... I hope the restaurant reaches out to have us back for a complimentary meal. Last year was so much better...

Del Frisco's is amazing - great service and amazing food. One of my favorite steakhouse bars to enjoy a glass of wine and a burger. The bartenders are amazing and will go the extra mile to make sure that you are enjoying yourself.

This was my third visit to Del Frisco's, and unfortunately, it wasn't as strong as my previous experiences. I ordered the prime rib ribeye and found the top portion overly salty, which was disappointing. The Chilean sea bass was good, but not memorable--though to be fair, seafood isn't really their specialty since it's a steakhouse. During my last two visits, the steaks were excellent, so I was expecting the same level of quality. The side dishes were decent but nothing standout. On the positive side, our server was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional. The ambiance, as always, was impeccable. Overall, the meal was good, but not great, and definitely below the standard I've experienced in the past.

We have lived in I think 9 states. Lots of restaurants, but I tend to gravitate toward a place with consistency. I'll go wild as well but that's always risky ( lots of rewards, but disappointments as well) , but Del Friscos is always dependable for a nice meal. First time to this one, boy what a gorgeous space!! Being here at Thanksgiving was such a treat as decorations inside, outside and on the street of NYC were just spectacular! It was almost difficult to focus on the food because I was so mesmerized with the outdoor view. Definitely request an upstairs table with your must have reservation. My daughter who has not been was amazed with the space one had as a diner. I don't like touching elbows with folks ( have to learn to like it in this city) but not here. Plenty of room and the wonderful staff do not try to rush you out. She is already looking into having an event here due to everything we experienced. My main reason for coming is their crab cakes with lobster sauce. From the first time I had them, I was hooked. So hooked that i managed to wrangle the recipe from someone. (Not at this restaurant, but years ago) I am not above that. Second favorite is the sea bass with crab fried rice. Stellar every time. The rest of the party got the usual steaks and such. We all loved it. The sommelier was great although he just said, " great choice" with our decision because I have a Smartypants wino in the family. The wine was delicious even though I still believe after two glasses , it all tastes the same. The bread was great as well. Service was just top notch. But my favorite part? Getting to go thru the kitchen as we left. Love to watch a team execute. Boy did they! They also took the time to greet us and wish us Happy Thanksgiving! Lovely evening.

I took my husband here for his 30th birthday and was so very pleased with the experience. The restaurant was decorated spectacularly for Christmas. The table we were initially seated at was in a corner between another table and a wall which was so tight we could not fit, but the staff were quick to accommodate us upstairs at a different table! We were very appreciative of their understanding and quick thinking! The view from the window was gorgeous, overlooking radio city and all the dressed up trees while watching the snow fall. The food was fantastic, everything was so delicious and I appreciated our waiter's suggestions! It was a wonderful way to spend a birthday, highly recommend if you're looking for an elevated dining experience in the city!

It has been so long since I last reviewed Del Frisco's, I don't eat red meat anymore ... but guess what, they have so many other great dishes, I didn't even miss it. I ordered the swordfish lunch special and it was so good! Dont sleep on the $39 lunch special because it is scrumptious and comes with so many great options. Chicken, fish, burgers, salad, soup... it's all good and plentiful. The restaurant also has a great view of 6th Avenue and all of the festivities going on outside, especially right now with the hustle and bustle of the holidays. It's right across from Radio City so it's the perfect place, before or after you see the Christmas show. I cant say enough about Del Frisco's. I've been to many of their locations across the country and this one is my #1. It never gets old. Servers are always very helpful and attentive, the atmosphere is so comfy and cozy and the food is always delicious. It's a very large, 2-story restaurant. If you're going, make sure to have a reservation, especially this time of year.

Went after a Broadway show, sat upstairs overlooking radio city music hall. I could see it being a great spot for corporate dinners; food was good - came out cooked as requested. Other people in the group got a petit filet and other sides like broccolini which I don't have pictured here. Salmon was good as was chicken (I know it's a steakhouse! But it was worth mentioning) Caesar salad i split as an appetizer with another person as well. They forgot to put dressing on side (hate when the dressing drowns a salad), but it was still edible. Service was great. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a small cake so we could sing happy birthday. Regarding the bathrooms...it was commented that we thought it was kind of tacky to have a bathroom attendant in such a small bathroom and a high end restaurant? There are two stalls and a line out the door...

Very festive ambiance but they really be maximizing the space... barely any space between seats and tables and very crowded The Cabernet wine we had was very good, one of my top wines to date. Steak was good, they actually cooked it medium rare and you can see the redness peaking through, unlike most steaks I've had elsewhere where it'd usually overdone. The sauce they provide for the steak was BOMB! Chimichuri and horseradish was Side note: They don't allow cake cutting or allow outside cakes (something to keep In mind for bday celebration)

So what is difference between the Double Eagle and the Del Frisco Grille? Besides the name of course.

The Double Eagle is a much more upscale experience with prices and dress code to match. Think steaks starting at $60 and up. The Grille feels more like an upscale chain you might find at a mall/shopping center such as Houstons, Hillstone, Seasons… Read more

Where is the best place to park, coming in mid April?

Do they allow dogs in the outdoor section? I'm going on a trip to nyc and taking my miniature dachshund and I don't like to leave him alone at the hotel. Very well behaved!

Hello Rachel, only service dogs are allowed at our establishment. Thank you.

How much would a dinner for two be?

Budget $300 if you want to have an enjoyable meal. But you can totally knock out a meal for less than $150.00 for two. Get two appetizer and share a steak.

    Bar/counter dining if going solo?

They have two bar areas: downstairs and upstairs. I saw people sitting downstairs

Are they offering outdoor dining now?

Have they stopped serving the delicious onion rings?

Do they offer non dairy options, like can they cook the steaks without butter?

Yes I asked for no butter myself when I was there!! Service here is great!

Is the outdoor seating heated well during the winter months?

    not sure.

Can you eat at the bar?

    yes

Is business lunch only during weekdays?

Probably Yes. But call them to be certain.

Where is the best seat in the house?

My Answer would have to be anywhere right by the window. 🤗 Amazing feeling to have some amazing food while looking out at New York .

    What is the Best cocktail?

It depends on your taste. The wine list is really elaborate. There is a sommelier watching when a customer asks for a wine list / BOOK. He came over right a way to help me find a decent Amarone that would not break the bank. Both the sommelier… Read more

Do they have a kids menu?

Is the long bone ribeye wagyu?

Not real Japanese Wagyu, but it was the best steak I ever had at any price.

    Are they open on holidays?

Probably depends on the holiday. Best to just call them and ask I think.

I've heard "Lunch at The Modern" so many times, one thing I was absolutely going to do during this…read moretrip to NYC was lunch at The Modern, and I'm so glad I did. Located at MoMA, The Modern is a 2 Michelin star restaurant hosting both fine dining, showcasing Chef Thomas Allan's cuisine, and a more casual dining experience in The Bar Room. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a giant glass wall overlooking MoMA's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, a lovely view. There is an abridged tasting menu of 3 courses, but we opted for the full chef's menu cause we didn't want to miss their signature "eggs on eggs on eggs" and after the supplemental charge, the price was close enough. - Hiramasa and sugar snap peas/crispy ham and cheese--simple and delicious, with the hiramasa being light and fresh and the ham and cheese providing a deeply savory contrast - Chilled lobster, shiso, and green radish--the lobster was cold and sweet but as a personal preference, I don't really enjoy bitter flavors and the slice of lemon under the radish threw it off a bit - Eggs on eggs on eggs--words cannot adequately describe the unctuousness of this dish, it's like eating rich, buttery velvet on a crispy, fluffy log of brioche. As a bonus, they bring you an extra toast to mop up all the tasty bits - Pumpkin seed sourdough and cultured butter--okay I totally didn't know this was meant to be eaten with the next dish so given total lack of self control in the face of pillowy fresh bread and perhaps the smoothest butter on the planet, I may or may not have eaten it all before the trout showed up... they were nice enough to give us more :') - Sea trout with clams and saffron shellfish broth--the fish was cooked to literal perfection and the clam and saffron sauce enhanced everything even more. This fights with the chicken dish for spot #2 in my favorites of this meal - Heritage chicken, provençal asparagus, vin jaune--this reminds me of the stuffed chicken from Per Se and was cooked just as well. The vin jaune sauce was slightly nutty with an incredibly rich flavor and also went well with the bread - Lamb saddle, romanesco, and lemon poached dates--for some reason I thought the chicken was the final savory course and I did not pace myself at all and was so full by this point. The lamb was tender and the date was a wonderful bite though - Wild strawberries and cacao--I can't remember what was all in this but I loved the little wild strawberries as they were like delicious strawberry gummies - Dark chocolate cremeux, meyer lemon, and espresso--delicious with interesting flavors, I haven't had many lemon, chocolate, and coffee combinations - Mignardises of raspberry, lemon coconut, cherry cheesecake--only one I tried was the cherry cheesecake bonbon but my husband ate 'em all so they must've been good lol The MVP of this meal was the melon lemonade mocktail, made with honeydew, jasmine, and pandan. Might be the most perfect drink for me ever made because it was melony with a subtle floral note from the pandan and jasmine, and only lightly sweet and tart, everything I love. Sooooo good! Service was pretty good up until we wanted to pay, and for some reason it became really difficult to find someone to close us out. We waited almost 20 minutes between the mignardises and finally being able to pay, even actively looking around trying to flag someone down. Despite The Modern not being the most innovative of meals, it's easily one of my all time favorites. I definitely prefer food that's executed well over food that's pushing boundaries, and may be back any time I'm in town.

Hands down the best restaurant experience my wife and I have ever had…read more We wanted to treat ourselves for our anniversary, and I had recently watched their Bon Appétit behind-the-scenes video. Their entire operation seemed so incredibly focused, meticulous, and inspiring that we knew we had to try it. We started with the Iberico ham and the hiramasa tart, both incredible. Then came the chilled lobster, which was super fresh and refreshing, served with an amazing sauce that made me want to lick the plate clean. Every dish felt refined without being overly complicated. The service was extraordinary. You can immediately tell the front-of-house team is operating at an extremely high level and is aware of everything happening in the room at all times. At one point, my wife stepped away to use the restroom just as they were about to serve the first course. Without saying a word or making anything awkward, the staff simply looped around a couple of times until she returned. The moment she sat down, they resumed service seamlessly without missing a beat. That level of awareness and professionalism really stood out to us. Next came the rye bread, which was fresh and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, paired with delicious butter. Then we had the sea bass with crab, which was phenomenal and one of my favorite dishes of the night. But the true star of the show for me was the lamb. My wife and I grill lamb racks often, and I genuinely had no idea this level of perfection existed. It was cooked flawlessly, and the sauce was absolutely incredible. If I was not in public, I probably would have been scraping the bone clean :) Big shoutout to one of the staff members, Stephanie, who completely made our night. We were telling her how excited we were to finally visit after watching the Bon Appétit video, and she casually asked if we wanted a tour of the kitchen after dinner. Honestly, I thought she was joking at first. Then she came back after dessert and reminded us. Even after paying the bill, I still thought maybe she was kidding, but then she walked over smiling and said, "Let's go." My wife and I were completely geeked out. Seeing the kitchen in person was surreal. It was exactly like the video: super meticulous, orders being called out and repeated in unison, everyone moving with total precision and purpose. You could see the Omega clock, the Michelin stars on the wall, and just the overall culture of excellence behind everything they do. We were honestly in awe. Thank you again, Stephanie. That experience meant so much to us. Every time we visit a fine dining restaurant for a special occasion, I always wonder whether it will truly live up to the hype. Some completely miss the mark. Some are very good. But none have delivered on every aspect the way The Modern did. This is officially our favorite restaurant in the world.

The place was packed! The dinner items are so intriguing. Why did I love it so much? Because it was like art, but also delicious. I can highly recommend the tableside butter service. A giant cart with a mountain of butter is rolled to your area. In the most entertaining way, butter is scooped and prepared on a marble slab then served to you and yours with many little accoutrements. It was way too much for two people, but we loved every bite. The service was so good, the food fun and photogenic, and I loved all of the bites. I can't wait to come back.

The steak frites, Brussels sprouts, and Moroccan fried chicken, and Mac and cheese were fantastic. I saw people raving about the spicy Caesar but personally didn't get it--I thought it was fine. I thought the escargot were a bit bland. Le grand croissant is an amazingly decadent giant croissant filled with Nutella and accompanied with jam, pistachio, honey sides etc. it was great, but seemed like it should've been more a dessert option rather than an appetizer as it was extremely sweet. We booked this out for Mother's Day maybe two weeks in advance and there were decent times in the early afternoon, but I checked closer to the day and it was all booked out.
