New York sirloin, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach
    Bethany R.

We had to change our reservation to an hour later the same day and they were very accommodating. When we walked int the hostess greeted us warmly and took us to our table. Our server quickly took our orders and kindly recommended a wine to go with our meal. We ordered creamed spinach, roasted Brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes for our sides. The creamed spinach was good and the potatoes were all right but the brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious! They had a nice char without being burnt and the honey glaze was flavorful and not overly sweet. For our main we of course got New York sirloin and it was cooked to perfection. For dessert I got the key lime pie and as a native Floridian it left much to be desired. It was strangely very spice forward and the cream topping I could have done with out. Overall the meal was great and I'd definitely stop in again!

Gallaghers is known to be most reasonably priced steakhouse in the world. It's a classic nice restaurant with old black and white photos of famous people. You can even see their stock of meat behind the glass as you walk in. The sides and soup could be better. Steak is not bad. It's kind of like a fine dining experience where they take a small butter knife looking tool to scrape off your crumbs. No need to dress fancy. It's in the theatre district and the lunch prize fix menu is a good deal in NYC.

First time in New York, I wanted to take my mom to a special dinner before going to the theater, this was an amazing experience for the both of us! From the sidewalk, the dry aging room pulls you in, it is really a sight to see. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the host and taken to our table. John, one of our servers came and delivered water and our menus. The other waiter who served us (so sorry I forgot his name) was just as polite and delivered the bread basket. The breads were warm and all delicious! I ordered the Grilled salmon, green salad and asparagus. My mom got a 8oz fillet and green salad. (We should have shared the salad!) everything was amazing! Piping hot! Very flavorful! Unfortunately my mother likes her steak medium well but she said it was very tender even then. (It's an abomination, I know) If you are looking for a special night out, this is definitely the spot. We didn't do drinks but with what we had it was under 200. Not bad honestly, I was expecting and prepared to spend more.

I don't believe that there is or could ever be a "perfect" steak. That being said, tonight I may have had the closest thing to a perfect stake. I first thought, "this is really good". Then it got more delicious the more I ate. But the "pièce de résistance" occurred when my daughter, who doesn't like steak tasted a bite a said, "I never knew steak could taste like that ". The crab cake and stuffed shrimp were very good also but not quite as good as the steak. The ambiance of the whole vibe reminds me of an old movie, where important people from all walks of life go to have a good meal. Our servers where top notch also, If I had to nitpick, I would confess the Mac & Cheese was a little dry and lacked flavor. Also the fries were a little over done but I came for the stake and I left a happy man.

There are a lot of steakhouses in NY. They're all pretty good. For whatever reason I especially enjoyed this one. Ambiance is traditional steakhouse vibe but a little updated for today. Started with wedge salad, bf got a crab cake and we split a dry aged porterhouse, creamed spinach, onion rings. Steak was awesome, perfect mid-rare, and still warm. Gobbled it up - incredible steak.

Had an exceptional experience at Gallagher's. Got lucky with a roomy spot at the bar and enjoyed a full dinner. I started with the Gorgonzola salad which was simple but perfect. Great vinaigrette dressing with healthy chunks of cheese. For the main intent with their signature Rib Steak and would say it is up there with the greats in the city. Perfectly cooked to medium rare with lots of earthy notes. I closed with the tiramisu which was large and tasty. A shout out to the bartender Stewart who was very friendly and made great recommendations. A top notch experience!

This place definitely wowed me. Open for 99 years, I'm impressed that the quality of the food and service hasn't deteriorated over time. I ordered the $34 lunch special with a Wedge Salad, Medium rare filet mignon, and Sorbet (Raspberry and Lemon). This special is honestly a steal. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and was full of juicy flavor. The mushrooms it came with were also a hit for me. They weren't mushy, and actually provided an excellent texture comparison to the steak. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sorbet. The raspberry and lemon combo ended the meal on a slightly acidic note, which was excellent given that the meat was extremely rich. Also, I really need to call out the excellent service. The waiter brought out a platter of fruit with our dessert, because one of the items was just a little late to get on the table. Definitely would come back for both food and service!

A lovely evening spent at Gallagher's Steakhouse. The service was top notch and we enjoyed everything that was so beautifully presented and made to perfection. The dining room has historical photos and moments captured and on display. The steak was delicious and so savory with the freshly made steak sauce. Just describing the experience is making me want to go back! Go and enjoy! You will leave happy, satisfied and thinking of your next trip!

Valentine's dinner well done (or shall I say medium rare?)! We were seated promptly after coat check and started off with two delicious cocktails-- Sidecar and Ziegfeld Follies. For starters, we got the steak tartare and tuna poke. For main, we shared a porterhouse for two with a side of mac n cheese, followed by a decadent cheesecake. Steak tartare 4/5: creamy texture, smooth and paired with lightly toasted bread. I enjoyed each bite, savoring the hints of mustard and pickle. If you're a savory fan, you'll enjoy this. Spicy tuna poke 3/5: besides the wonton chips being delicious, the poke itself was ok. It was bland in flavor compared to the poke I usually eat on the west coast and found that the radish chunks were too big. The quality was fresh but I'd skip this next time. Porterhouse 5/5: we got a mixed cut of medium rare ribeye and filet mignon, which was such a splendid eat. The steak was cooked to perfection and came out on a hot plate. I liked that it wasn't salty at all and paired really nicely with their signature steak sauce (tomato based). It's a perfect portion for two people Mac n Cheese 4/5: nothing crazy but still delicious and classic. It's my go-to side dish for steak NY Cheesecake 5/5: i usually don't get cheesecake but this was great! Creamy smooth with a nice base. Imagine a soft graham cracker with a touch of cinnamon. It was paired with a decadent strawberry puree and overall not too sweet!

Wonderful authentic old style steakhouse. Love the atmosphere. Great service the waiters teamed up and you are constantly attended to. Cocktails were okay but the food was amazing. Clean restroom with an attendant. Something you don't see much anymore. A great place for dinner after a Broadway show. I recommend making a reservation.

Came here for my kid's birthday, his 1st time in NYC and he would like to try steak for his bday. So I took him here since it's closer to the Broadway area cause we have a show to catch afterward. This place is a legendary and definitely a landmarks. You can see the aging meats from the sidewalk outside and upon walking it, a whole glass refrig full of displaces all type of meats, just make you want to taste every single of its. Staff are wonderful and very elegant plus very helpful high standards for this institution place. The place is old fashioned style but cozy and elegant vibe. Got a booth seat and plenty of celebrities pics who came to dine here. Great lunch choice menu but also got a steak for 2. Drinks are great and the foods are to die for...simply big yet tasty and delicious. The meat is just melted like butter in your mouth. The desserts are also yummy too. Simply a lunch to remember for sure.

Got the restaurant week menu: Manhattan clam chowder, sliced filet mignon and dessert for addition $4! The clam chowder was punchy and tangy. The filet mignon was soft and delicious although I wished for more, only 4 slices haha. The key lime pie was not my favorite, it was overly sweet. Service was attentive. The ambiance was sophisticated but not stuffy. Overall, this was a nice first experience at the steakhouse.

    Matthew C.

Gallaghers Steakhouse opened in 1927 on 52nd Street as a Prohibition-era speakeasy. After Prohibition ended in 1933, it became Broadway's first steakhouse. We went for my birthday. Started with the French onion soup. Our waiter kindly split one order into two bowls. Main was the 28-day dry aged porterhouse for two plus the charred crispy Brussels sprouts on the side. We finished with cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake. One of the best steakhouses in NYC. Classic vibe that's cozy and upscale, like Polo Bar but with a steak focus. Service was attentive and respectful from all staff members.

I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

The happy hour menu is excellent, and the cocktail program is equally creative. On my most recent visit, I tried the Nam Gin Martini--unusual, beautifully balanced, and delicious. If you're dining solo, I recommend sitting at the bar, where the talented bartenders are happy to offer excellent mixology advice. There are several dishes I especially recommend. The Zabb Wings are crispy fried chicken wings tossed in a spicy, tangy dry rub of toasted rice powder, chili, lime, and mint. They're intensely flavorful and highly addictive. The Steamed Whole Fish is another standout: a whole branzino swimming in a vibrant, intensely aromatic broth of fresh chili, lime, mint, garlic, and culantro. The pork belly with chili and garlic is another dish worth ordering if you're looking for something rich, spicy, and deeply savory. Fish Cheeks was founded in 2016 by Thai immigrants--brothers Chef Ohm and Chat Suansilphong, along with Jenn Saesue and Pranwalai Kittirattanawiwat. The restaurant was born from their frustration with the homogenized "one-page" menus that dominated American Thai dining, which often centered on sweeter, standardized dishes such as Pad Thai and Massaman curry. Even the name reflects the restaurant's philosophy. The fish cheek is considered one of the most tender, flavorful, and prized parts of the fish in many Asian culinary traditions. When Fish Cheeks opened at 55 Bond Street, the team famously adopted a strict "no Pad Thai" policy, encouraging diners to explore regional Thai specialties and seafood dishes such as crab curries and whole steamed fish. It was a bold gamble that paid off, earning critical acclaim, including recognition from The New York Times. In 2022, Executive Chef Dustin Everett, formerly of Momofuku Ssam Bar and Pig & Khao, took over the kitchen, introducing seasonal dishes while preserving many of the restaurant's signature favorites. The experience extends beyond the food. Fish Cheeks plays contemporary Thai pop music, giving the restaurant a lively, distinctly modern atmosphere. It feels energetic without losing its connection to Thai culture. One important thing to know: this is not the restaurant for you if you're looking for Pad Thai. Fish Cheeks is about pushing beyond the familiar and discovering the bold, complex flavors of Thai regional cooking. The restaurant is popular, especially during peak dining hours, so reservations are highly recommended. Sitting at the bar for a cocktail and a few dishes or settling in for a full meal with friends, I always find Fish Cheeks to be one of my favorite places in NoHo for adventurous, sophisticated Thai food.

Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

We ordered the $129 Grand Lobster Emperor Tasting, and every course was delicious. The lobster trio was the highlight--especially the butter-poached lobster and Lobster Thermidor. We also loved the lobster bisque, Oyster Rockefeller, baked scallops, garlic butter shrimp scampi, crispy seabass, and the rich lobster mac & cheese. The portions were generous, and every dish was fresh and beautifully presented. A special thank you to Eli for the outstanding service! Eli was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a wonderful dining experience from beginning to end. If you're looking for a premium seafood experience in Times Square, I highly recommend Crab House. We'll definitely be back!

The open area entrance also boasts a glorious chair with peacock backing in shades of blue. There were also private rooms and black stairs. Even the restrooms were fancy, with heated seats and gold detailing. Since the menu is quite pricey, my friend and I came during lunch to take advantage of the slightly less expensive lunch menu. I ordered the Fried Branzino, which came on a sizzling cast iron platter. The server poured warm sweet and sour sauce all over it. This also came with a side of fries. The Fried Branzino was the whole fish and impressive looking. The Branzino was satisfyingly crispy, tender, flaky, and well seasoned. The sauce was nicely balanced and full of bold flavor. Fries were tasty, perfectly crunchy, and addicting. Service was wonderful throughout. Our waitress was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything came out in a timely manner. I'm glad I had a chance to experience this fancy restaurant.

I've been coming here for years, and the quality of the food continues to keep me coming back. During this visit, I ran into a recurring issue with my lobster. It was carrying a large amount of roe, which I was actually happy about because I enjoy it and didn't want any of it to go to waste. However, the roe deep inside wasn't fully cooked during the initial steaming process. I had to go back and forth with Ash and the kitchen staff several times, but they remained patient, attentive, and committed to making sure everything was cooked properly. Ash, one of the managers, provided excellent customer service throughout the experience. While I was waiting, he kindly offered me a complimentary cup of New England clam chowder, which was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated since I was starving. Before leaving, I also ordered two more 2 lb. steamed lobsters to go. I explained my concern, and the staff made sure they were thoroughly cooked before packaging them. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. I truly appreciate the team's dedication to customer satisfaction and their willingness to make things right. Their excellent service, combined with consistently great seafood, is why I've remained a loyal customer for years. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Thank you!
