Seafood pasta with cioppino sauce
Melissa E.

My family and I enjoyed a truly lovely lunch at Bryant Park Grill after watching the Rockettes, and it couldn't have been a more perfect experience. We were seated in the tented area, which felt absolutely magical with its floating lights and the surrounding trees--it created such a cozy, special atmosphere right in the middle of the city. To start, we ordered the grilled bread with vegan spreads for the table along with the potato leek and roasted red pepper soups. The bread and dips were a delightful way to begin the meal, and the potato leek soup was warm, comforting, and full of flavor. For our entrées, we chose the branzino and the seafood pasta in cioppino sauce. The branzino was light, flaky, and beautifully paired with delicious vegetables. The seafood pasta was hearty and warming--my husband and I split it, and it was more than enough to satisfy us both. Everything about the experience impressed us: the food, the ambiance, and especially the service, which was incredibly attentive and fast without ever feeling rushed. If you're visiting New York City and looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend Bryant Park Grill. It was a wonderful meal and a special moment for our family.

It's not as expensive as you think. My wife and I met up with some friends who were from out of town and we ended up eating here. It's the second time I've been here. The first time was when the company I worked for back then had their holiday party there. The place does look upscale, especially compared to the surrounding establishments. It is spacious. The waitress was very friendly. She allowed us to order from both the dinner menu and the brunch menu since we came in where there were on the verge of changing meal times. The food was very good. We shared the dishes we ordered among each other. Everything was flavorful and delicious. No complaints. Because we shared, the bill turned out pretty reasonable. The rest rooms, though, was downstairs and can get crowded real quick. If you're handicapped, it may be difficult for you to get there. Otherwise, it was a good dining experience. I would recommend the place if you're willing to spend a little more. Or, do what we did, order a few entres and share it among yourselves and save some money. The portions are generous enough.

A tasty dinner, great service and a lovely venue on this beautiful summer evening. We've dined here many times, and find the service to be very good during quieter times. For example, this evening our reservation was at 5:30pm, and there were very few patrons. Our waiter arrived quickly, ice waters were served promptly and we ordered: * Cauliflower Frites (toasted almonds, romesco and pesto sauces) $17.50 * Grilled Moroccan Lemon Chicken Paillard (garlic mashed potatoes, grilled organic carrots, pearl onions, tomato, caper & herb sauce) $29.95 * Wild Mushroom Ravioli (grilled artichokes, cherry tomatoes, spinach and edamame in a parmesan broth) $27.50 The Frites arrived quickly, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, hot and tasty. This was more than sufficient for two, we thought these were yummy. The entrées arrived about 10 minutes after we finished the Frites. The chicken was nicely prepared in a tasty sauce, I'd be happy to order this again. The raviolis were delicious, with a strong but not overpowering mushroom flavor. Service was excellent, and the venue overlooking beautiful Bryant Park was sublime, on a perfectly pleasant summer evening.

I was pleasantly surprised by my yummy breakfast here! I lived in NYC for 7 years and treasure the city for its diverse food scene, so I rarely visit "grills" that serve American food, but one of my friends really wanted to try this place. First of all, the setting is unbeatable. This restaurant sits INSIDE the legendary Bryant Park. The front wall of the restaurant is all windows, so we were able to look outside at all of the fall festivities, which felt really magical. We were seated quickly, and overall the service was attentive and polite. What really blew me away was the food! I ordered and orange juice and the Challah French Toast, which came with berries, creme fraiche, raspberry jam, and syrup. This was maybe the best french toast I have ever had. It was so warm and fluffy, with a thin crispy layer on the outside. The creme fraiche was the perfect touch to mellow out the sweetness of the jam that was already smeared on top. The only complaint I have, which is why I am giving this four stars, is that the french toast was pretty sweet. I ended up not using any syrup (which I typically love) because the french toast, jam, and berries combined were already very sweet to being with.

Is it mind blowing? No, but also... I mean... it's the Bryant Park motha-friggen Grill! Cmon! It's such an amazing spot, a great location, a grand atmosphere, good food, okay service, and and and they have matchbooks! What's not to actually love? Living nearby made it a super awesome, convenient treat! Sad to hear they were leaving, but I'm a bit confused because they're still here; definitely not mad about it. This is a great solo dine at the bar spot or even a quick drink meet up for a date or something. It's in the dang park!

Been here three times in the past few years and it's definitely a nice restaurant outing spot in midtown and right in Bryant Park. Have tried both the indoor and outdoor seatings and love that they have plenty of seats depending on what you're feeling it. I like the appetizers they have and the variety of choices really ensure there is something for everyone. I usually get their fish entrees like the Branzino which is always good. Service is good and staffs are friendly and helpful.

Moroccan Kebabs
Lubie A.

My friend and I booked for early dinner at 5:30 & we were seated promptly by the window, as we requested. The service was fast and smooth. We decided to have small plates of Moroccan kebabs and calamari to start. The kebabs came in threes, on the bed of delicious eggplant pure, sweet roasted pepper strips, a few scattered baby spinach leaves & a hot (what appeared to be) a green jalapeño pepper. This is a must-have dish: unique in offered ingredients and extremely flavorful. The calamari, on the other hand, were a disappointment: gooey batter and poor tasting calamari. But the atmosphere was festive, lively, upbeat and happy. The noise level was high though. We decided to have desert elsewhere as it was hard to talk & hear each other.

What a great rooftop bar experience! The place reminded me of Paris. What a view! The bartender was very knowledgeable and provided recommendations tailored to my preferences.

We enjoyed our lunch at Bryant Park Grill. Lovely atmosphere. Love that it is in one of my favorite parks in Manhattan. If you're in midtown it's worth going to. We went on a week day and didn't need a reservation. The best part is its fantastic location.

Chilaquiles

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for my Birthday brunch. Twas a beautiful day and the dining room had such great ambience. Glad we reserved because it was packed. We planned on having a day in city so we didn't want to eat too heavy. The hubs got the Crispy Korean Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which came with Kimchi, Sriracha Mayo, Spicy Asian Slaw, which he loved. The perfect portion and amount of spice. My daughter, who is a vegetarian, opted for the Breakfast Burrito, which consisted of Scrambled Eggs, Refried Beans, Guacamole, Pico De Gallo in a Toasted Wheat Tortilla, served with a side salad. I had the Chilaquiles, which was served with a Hen of the Woods mushroom, along with Fried Fresh Farm Eggs, Avocado, Oaxaca & Cotija Cheese. Quite filling. Couldn't even finish. Kick myself for not finishing because they were that good. We partook in some adult beverages. The hubs had a spicy margarita, which consisted of casamigos spicy tequila, jalapeño simple syrup & fresh lime juice. It was delicious and packed a punch. I had the tropical white sangria. So good. Can't recall the exact recipe but it was delicious. Tips. Very important. Always reserve - can get packed. Everything was so delicious. Will return soon! Didn't get pics of my daughters burrito.

Service was amazing! Food was great!! Environment and scenery was excellent. Nice outside seating but also really cute inside. Our waitress went above and beyond to assist us and was very courteous and nice. Something I didn't expect so much here in NYC. This is right next to Bryant Park and the NYC library. Their food portions are huge. But we got something light since it was late and it was delicious.

There is currently construction and scaffolding in front of the place, but you'll see signage where to go at the opening of the scaffolding. We walked in, past the bar and checked in. We were seated within 5 minutes. I ordered a bourbon old-fashioned and we ordered crab rangoon as a starter. There were a lot of them and the sweet chili sauce was great. For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. Plus I kept finding myself checking out the mural on the wall. Try it for yourself - but worth the fight to get a table.

My friend and I were visiting from LA and our hotel the Archer recommended this place for dinner…read more It's right across from Bryant Park. We loved it so much we went back and second time for dinner. The first night we sat at the bar (it was crowded and we didn't have reservations) and made some friends who recommended Ivan's (the bartender) espresso martinis. Although we were drinking some white wine we decided after finishing those we would try them. Ivan makes them special with a little Bailey's! They were incredible! Like a dessert but not too sweet. Ivan shared his recommendations with us and we had some good conversation. We ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and Brussels salad as well. All very tasty. A couple of nights later we went back and had the rigatoni with red sauce which was phenomenal and our favorite and the Toscana salad, also great. The pastas taste homemade and everything is so fresh, including the bread. We of course ordered espresso martinis again and Ivan thought it might be us again and came by to say hi. He makes the restaurant feel like family! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in my next visit. It is now my favorite restaurant in New York! Thank you so much Ivan!

I sat at the bar and ordered a simple pasta with red sauce, some meatballs, and broccolini. The pasta was perfectly al dente and absorbed the red sauce nicely. I appreciate that I was not offered grated cheese or fresh ground pepper. It was served as the chef intended, showing off the tomatoes, accented only by the herbs and spices. It was not too oily either, if anything it could have had a touch more, but again this let the tomatoes come through. The pork and beef. meatballs are dense and served in a thickened tomato sauce. The bread that comes with it is nice for finishing that gorgeous sauce which does have a sprinkling of parm. The broccolini had a a touch of garlic and served with a lemon. You can judge a restaurant by its guests. The other solo diners beside me were locals, there for the food. Next time I'll try the vodka sauce with burrata.

From a wedding guest point of view…read more Wedding was right before the December Storm. This is rated as one of the most expensive venues in NYC. Yes, the views are amazing, however the weather has to be just perfect. Especially if you plan to use the outdoor patio. Which, why wouldn't you? The space itself is not for large groups, wedding party size approximately 50. Plus the wait, bar & other service staff. The location is prime, if you plan to take a car, remember this is NYC & traffic is bad. You can probably walk faster than a cab or car service. Especially during the month of December. NYC gets more visitors in December than all year long. The venue has 2 bathrooms for women which is not good, however worked for this crowd. Think of this location as a once in a lifetime, only if you have the funds for this location. As guests we were thrilled to be invited to such a lavish wedding!

Thinking of getting married at 620 Loft and Garden? Here's a short review from a wedding…read morephotographer's point of view: If budget isn't an issue, this place is simply magical! Rooftop wedding in the heart of Manhattan with incredible views of St. Patrick's Cathedral & Rockefeller Center. What more could you ask for? It's makes for one incredible experience for not just the bride and groom, but for all of the guests who are always completely blown away. As close as it is to being perfect, there are few things to keep in mind: 1. If the weather doesn't cooperate (as it didn't during the wedding I shot there, when it rained right before the ceremony), the main garden does get quite soggy. It got bad enough that the bride had to walk around the guests via the outer walkway instead of through the middle. Definitely not the ideal way to make an entrance. 2. The inside is as simple as it gets, so it's really up to you(r planner) to make it something amazing. Basically, picture a clean, white room; a blank slate. If minimalism is your thing (as is with me), then you'll love it. Otherwise, plan to get creative! 3. Space. It's definitely not for large events. Even for smaller weddings, the cocktail hour gets quite cramped. But if you're planning on getting married here, you know that already. From a solely photographer's perspective, while it does make possible some absolutely stunning shots (one of my favorite images was taken here, which you can see in the Photos section), the size of the venue as well as the blank indoor space does limit how creative you can get. If you're looking to get a wide variety of photos, I'd highly suggest you stop by another location for or after the First Look and get portraits before heading to 620 Loft and Garden. If you're set on getting married here, a gallery of a real wedding from 620 Loft and Garden is up on my site, so feel free to check it out for some wedding ideas!
