When you take the elevator up, you walk into a small area (was used for self check-in with a table for nametags) and a coat rack. From there, you walk down a long hallway lined with workspaces and small conference rooms on each side, along with additional space for coat racks, before it opens up into the main event area. The main space has an industrial-chic feel, with a few couches and chairs, small tables, a TV, and a larger kitchen area. The bathroom is toward the back of the space, and there is also a larger patio/rooftop area. Given the cold temperature, we did not spend much time outside, but it would be great to take advantage of in warmer weather. I liked the interior design overall, but once the event filled up (I would estimate it can comfortably hold about 40-50 people inside), it became extremely loud, as there is not much in terms of sound absorption. That said, it is a cool, versatile space with a lot of potential, and I would definitely keep it in mind for future events, especially in the warmer months when the outdoor area can be used.

The long farmstyle table is simple yet elegant. We were treated to a 4 course meal prepared by none other that Chef Rodney. First courseT was a Montauk Fluke Crudo snap peas with dilly beans, watercress and meyer lemon. The cool thing about the Fluke was that 3 hours before being served it was swimming off the coast. NOW THAT'S FRESH! The second course was shaved brussel sprout salad with cherry tomatoes, scallions, feta, dill and tzatziki. This was BY FAR the nights favorite. This dish is what's right with all foods Greek; its wonderful flavors bursting like fireworks onto our palates. Course three featured Ricotta Gnudi Primavera with cherry tomatoes, artichokes, summer squash and herbs. The final course was Whole roasted potatoes, confit fennel and pork jus. IT WAS AMAZING! It was Pork Jus(t done right!) For the finale, we were served White Chocolate Gazpacho wit watermelon sorbet and slivered pistachos. I poured the gazpacho over the dark chocolate birthday cake we were having and it was SO GOOD, others followed suit. The watermelon sorbet tasted like actual real watermelon straight from the rind. It was so cool and refreshing and a wonderfully light way to end the meal. Aside from the wonderful meal, the serving staff was pleasant, professional and attentive. Even upon leaving the building, the staff and bartender on the first floor thanked me for coming and hoped I'd come again. That was a nice and unexpected touch. Chef Rodney, you were amazing. The people working the event were nice. But the staff for Lavan were kind as well. The front area was very roomy. The band that was playing in the lobby were doing a great job. Security was very on point, I felt secure. I did appreciate how they set the pop up, up. I just feel bad for the DJ who got into an accident and couldn't make it. If I was holding an event I would choose this place. Yes, its a little far from the train but its ada compliant! Good job guys.

Overlook is a gorgeous space with floor to ceiling windows and skylights. It overlooks the Bryant Park skating rink, Winter Village and has views of the surrounding buildings. The views here are AMAZING!!! I recently attended one of their free yoga classes as part of their Winter Fitness program. The space is pretty large and comfortably held the 40 or so attendees the night I attended yoga. We all were informed beforehand to bring our own mats and towels as these would not be provided. The yoga sessions are run by different yoga companies and the one I attended was by Sputnik Yoga and was a silent headphone yoga session. We each were provided, free of charge, headphones to wear during class. This was my first time attending a session like this but had a blast! The headphones took a bit getting used to, but I loved that you could clearly hear the teacher during the class. They also played some cool music while helping to block out all other sounds. This really helped me focus on the movement and the instructions. The class was an open level Vinyasa but the movements and flow were slightly advance. It was quite a workout and I was sweaty by the end. After class, we were each given wipes to sanitize the headphones and our mats. Then we all took selfies in this beautiful space and one final group picture, which they posted on their Instagram account. This was by far the coolest yoga class I've ever taken. I've been telling all of my friends and co-workers about it and have already signed up for some of their upcoming classes. Overlook offers other types of activities like Meditation, Ribbon Dancing, Barre classes and Story time for kids. It is a great place to watch the skaters below and enjoy Bryant Park's free activities. I highly recommend trying them out.

They have catering packages or you can bring your own licensed caterer. We had passed hor d'oeuvres and 3 buffet tables (2 hot buffet stations and 1 dessert station). There were 2 bars and the large bar had a charcuterie/cheese station. The bathrooms were clean and modern. I will probably be back next year for another holiday party.

Legend has it is that one of my mom's oldest friends got married here close to 50 years ago in the room I was just in. That same room looked very modern, and current enough for me to want to host something there. Grateful for the opportunity to go and enjoy this venue again.

His music was the soundtrack of my childhood & my introduction to jazz & the blues. So, while planning my return to NYC, I made sure to find a jazz club where I could experience his legacy. That led me to Dizzy's Club at Lincoln Center for A Masterful Tribute to Trane: Roxy Coss Quartet. I'll admit, I hesitated at the $60 cover & $20 minimum. Yet my server, Nidia, was amazingly engaging, & the seamless hospitality throughout, led by GM Raymond, was impressive. Most importantly, the extraordinary music made it worth every penny. The John Coltrane Centennial Celebration was nothing short of transcendent. Honoring Coltrane's iconic "Classic Quartet" era, saxophonist Roxy Coss led a powerhouse ensemble featuring Geoffrey Keezer on piano, James Cammack on bass, & Rudy Royston on drums. Together, they balanced fierce modal intensity with profound spiritual depth. Keezer's captivating commentary connected the music to Coltrane's history & legacy, while the musicians brought that history vividly to life. I especially appreciated the reflection on Coltrane's composition Alabama, written in response to the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing. Artist Insights *Roxy Coss; Saxophones & Clarinet: Commanded the front line with muscular tenor solos & soaring soprano lines that captured Coltrane's questing spirit without merely imitating him. *Geoffrey Keezer; Piano: Followed his historical introductions with thunderous block chords & explosive modal runs. *James Cammack; Bass: The Ahmad Jamal Trio veteran anchored the ensemble with a deep, resonant pulse & commanding presence. & a gentle note: JC performs with a walker, yet his passion for playing remains unmistakably powerful. I arrived shortly before showtime and was able to snag a last-minute seat at the bar. The acoustics and views are wonderful in the venue. Plus, nothing beats really good live music. It was packed when I was there on a Sunday night, but it felt cozy rather than crowded. Be aware that there is a food and drink minimum included with your ticket. I wasn't in a drinking mood, so I enjoyed a mocktail and an appetizer, plus the cornbread to go. Buying tickets in advance is recommended. I got lucky that it wasn't full. They also run some discounts, like student tickets, so check online if that applies to you. Overall, I really enjoyed Dizzy's Club and would definitely come back.
