I like a place with good food and a picture of my cousin, The King of Divorce, painted on the wall

April 29th 2025. We came here as part of Hilton $99 dinner and show package for Hilton timeshare owners. Started off with a mixed green salad with the dressing already added. Far too much dressing added. Second course was a 6 oz filet mignon. Cook just right medium seared on the outside and medium cooked pink on the inside. Not too dry with sufficient juice to maintain taste. Side dishes included garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Not a spinach fan but this is creamed spinach was one of my favorites. Dessert was a large portion of tiramisu cake, about the size of a brick. So big that I I left about half of it uneaten. No doggy bag for leftovers as we were heading for the theater. The $99 dinner and show package was per person. Those who failed to show up for the timeshare upgrade presentation would be billed a full $299 price per person.

My friends and I came here for a holiday dinner and it was above average. I attribute a lot of that to our amazing server....she was so engaging and fun. The food was fine as well. We started with cocktails, which were just okay. A lot of midtown steakhouses have seriously upped their cocktail game and I think the Palm is just average. For appetizers, we had shrimp cocktail (pretty good), burrata (not the best) and the lobster mac and cheese (really good!). I had a sauteed shrimp for my main entree because when we came here, it was the fourth time in a week I'd eaten dinner at a restaurant and I couldn't have another steak. I liked my entree. For sides we had fries and sprouts, which were fine. Since there were a couple of birthdays in the group, we had some cake for dessert which was great. Overall, a solid experience with good food and terrific service rounding this up to a four star meal.

I have been here many times and I've never been disappointed. We came here for my boyfriend's birthday because he is a fan of steak, we had tickets to a show, and he had never been. Shocking to me. Not shocking is it didn't disappoint. I told them ahead of time that it was his birthday and they had a lovely little sign on the table and they comped his dessert. The food not surprisingly was amazing. I had the boneless ribeye medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was tasty and tender. The roasted garlic squeezed on top was the perfect touch. Baked potato on the side is comfort food at its best . The surprise of the night was the most amazing Keylime pie/soufflé that I've ever had in my life. It was advertised as a pie, and it did have a little graham crust on the bottom, but it was this amazingly light almost like soufflé of Keylime, topped with this glorious melted meringue that was marshmallowy. It was just to die for. All in all, not surprisingly an amazing dinner

It is my birthday, and my girlfriend got me tickets to a play and knowing I like steak told me we were coming here for a true New York experience. That's exactly what I got, and I enjoyed it so much. The atmosphere of this restaurant is so much fun with all the celebrity pictures on the walls. You can feel the history. It has a great vibe. You wanna just walk around and look at all the walls. My girlfriend obviously told them it's my birthday because it was a little sign on the table when we got there that said happy birthday and some sprinkles on the table. I had a delicious sirloin steak. Mashed potatoes on the side were delicious. They were creamy and buttery. My steak not surprisingly of course was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I got the cream corn on the side and it was so delicious. I finished the whole thing by myself. They offered me a complementary dessert for my birthday, which was such a nice surprise. By that time we were so full we actually only ended up eating one. We split the key lime pie. When I tell you, it was more than generous for two of us. The crust was delicious. The key lime was like a mousse. And it had a layer of gooey melted meringue on top. It was truly the perfect end to a great dinner.

NYC STEAKHOUSE TOUR (5th Stop) . The Palm is a true New York classic and continues to deliver an outstanding dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warm hospitality that makes you feel like family. The atmosphere is lively, with its iconic caricature-covered walls and old-school steakhouse charm that instantly transports you into a piece of NYC history. The food is exactly what you'd expect from a legendary steakhouse--top quality and perfectly prepared. The steaks are rich, flavorful, and cooked just right, while the seafood is equally impressive, especially the lobster, which is fresh and tender. Portions are generous, so come hungry. Service is impeccable--attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. The staff knows the menu inside and out and always has great recommendations, whether it's a cut of steak, or a side dish. Prices are on the higher side, but the experience, quality, and tradition you get at The Palm make it absolutely worth it. This is dining at one of NYC's most iconic restaurants. Highly recommended for special occasions or simply for anyone who wants to enjoy a quintessential New York steakhouse experience.

Despite a welcoming and charmingly designed interior The Palm falls a bit flat in terms of the actual food itself. While I appreciated that the portions (especially during Restaurant Week) were quite large (having received what was basically an entire plate full of calamari) I found most of the food to be over-salted or a bit too bland. I ordered the chicken parm while my partner ordered the filet and while the chicken was delicious and well cooked the accompanying pasta was quite bland with a very one-note marina sauce. The filet was also fine but served with a marginal portion of bland green beans which cheapened the meal. I will say though that service was prompt, efficient and friendly. We indicated to our waiter that we were in a bit of a rush and he was very attentive at making sure we were on our way within an hour to meet a deadline.

We've been coming to The Palm for so many years. We always went to the Palm 2, they closed, the on to the Tribecca Palm, then they closed, so we've been coming to thr 50th street Palm. Welcome from NJ, and if you get a 7 reservation, you can get an easy parking space on 50th street, metered parking. We always come on my bday, December 30th isn't a great bday, but most restaurants are pretty empty, We always come in the summer to, for the special. It's a 4lb lobster for 139. You'd think that's a great deal, but by the time you upgrade the lobster with extra apps and drinks it's over 300. I've had and made lobster my whole life and I'm old, so to come to the Palm and have a great lobster and great service it's worth the money. On this occasion the service, Cassandra, was excellent, but the lobster not so good. I've never had a mushy lobster before. Now I'm going to have to break out the lobster pot and make it myself Palm management I'm coming back for my birthday to give you another try (and there's 6 of us) please don't disappoint us A loyal customer

The service was great! We went for a business lunch and ordered the lunch prix fixe for $35. Not bad. You get a choice of appetizers, main course and a dessert. I ordered the cod and the lobster bisque. Soup was good but the cod had breadcrumbs which were too salty. I took the dessert to go. The restaurant was quiet and well laid out. There were a few other parties there having lunch.

Cool ambiance and good service. The steak was good but a bit chewy unfortunately. The wedge salad was yummy. The creamed spinach was good but not the best. The key lime pie was very yummy. Not the best steak in the city but conveniently near the theater district.

Ketel One dirty martini with blue cheese olives. Looks better than it tasted.

Pros: Res made on open table ready when we arrived (even though 15 minutes late-subway issues). Friendly host and server and busser. Lobster was 3 pounds shared with my friend. Was cooked and split beautifully and was flavorful and soft. Husband had ribeye that was delicious. The roasted garlic bulb that accompanied was amazing. Just right to spread on the steak. Friend's husband had surf and turf he loved. Wagyu filet and lobster tail. Both done just right. The grilled asparagus were delicious even if they didn't trim the tough ends enough. The hash browns are pretty good too. Burnt on the outside and soft on the inside. Tiramisu for dessert was a piece large enough for the 4 of us. Cons: creamed spinach was mostly cream. It was slightly gummy and salty. The ketel one dirty martinis were harsh and the blue cheese olives were bitter and gritty and wrong. I couldn't finish mine (crazy). We truly come here once every 2 years or so. Dinner was $720 with tip for the 4 of us. So it is pricey (but expected).

One of my frequently visited steakhouses in NYC, The Palm is always a nice way to satisfy a lingering craving for some steak. My go-to is always the Ribeye, which is always tasty and juicy. Service is great and the ambiance inside is old school NYC. Be sure to get enough of the sides to pass around and share with all of your friends!

Nice location across from seeing WICKED on Broadway. We walked in and sat at the bar. Very expensive we spent $200 for 2 people. The food was good tho. I got the lemon drop drink, lobster ravioli, New York steak, and cheesecake. Nice ambiance for special occasion.

Blessed to have my caricature up on their legendary walls since day 1!

I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

It's honestly a seafood lover's dream. I highly recommend coming with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. They also offer an option to pay an extra $45 to take your leftovers home, which is absolutely worth it. I ended up with so much food that my fridge is still full. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

Fish Cheeks in NoHo is my go-to destination for high-end, innovative Thai food in New York City…read more The restaurant takes a decidedly contemporary approach to Thai cuisine, with a menu that highlights bold regional flavors rather than the familiar, standardized dishes found at many American Thai restaurants. The happy hour menu is excellent, and the cocktail program is equally creative. On my most recent visit, I tried the Nam Gin Martini--unusual, beautifully balanced, and delicious. If you're dining solo, I recommend sitting at the bar, where the talented bartenders are happy to offer excellent mixology advice. There are several dishes I especially recommend. The Zabb Wings are crispy fried chicken wings tossed in a spicy, tangy dry rub of toasted rice powder, chili, lime, and mint. They're intensely flavorful and highly addictive. The Steamed Whole Fish is another standout: a whole branzino swimming in a vibrant, intensely aromatic broth of fresh chili, lime, mint, garlic, and culantro. The pork belly with chili and garlic is another dish worth ordering if you're looking for something rich, spicy, and deeply savory. Fish Cheeks was founded in 2016 by Thai immigrants--brothers Chef Ohm and Chat Suansilphong, along with Jenn Saesue and Pranwalai Kittirattanawiwat. The restaurant was born from their frustration with the homogenized "one-page" menus that dominated American Thai dining, which often centered on sweeter, standardized dishes such as Pad Thai and Massaman curry. Even the name reflects the restaurant's philosophy. The fish cheek is considered one of the most tender, flavorful, and prized parts of the fish in many Asian culinary traditions. When Fish Cheeks opened at 55 Bond Street, the team famously adopted a strict "no Pad Thai" policy, encouraging diners to explore regional Thai specialties and seafood dishes such as crab curries and whole steamed fish. It was a bold gamble that paid off, earning critical acclaim, including recognition from The New York Times. In 2022, Executive Chef Dustin Everett, formerly of Momofuku Ssam Bar and Pig & Khao, took over the kitchen, introducing seasonal dishes while preserving many of the restaurant's signature favorites. The experience extends beyond the food. Fish Cheeks plays contemporary Thai pop music, giving the restaurant a lively, distinctly modern atmosphere. It feels energetic without losing its connection to Thai culture. One important thing to know: this is not the restaurant for you if you're looking for Pad Thai. Fish Cheeks is about pushing beyond the familiar and discovering the bold, complex flavors of Thai regional cooking. The restaurant is popular, especially during peak dining hours, so reservations are highly recommended. Sitting at the bar for a cocktail and a few dishes or settling in for a full meal with friends, I always find Fish Cheeks to be one of my favorite places in NoHo for adventurous, sophisticated Thai food.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. It was carrying a large amount of roe, which I was actually happy about because I enjoy it and didn't want any of it to go to waste. However, the roe deep inside wasn't fully cooked during the initial steaming process. I had to go back and forth with Ash and the kitchen staff several times, but they remained patient, attentive, and committed to making sure everything was cooked properly. Ash, one of the managers, provided excellent customer service throughout the experience. While I was waiting, he kindly offered me a complimentary cup of New England clam chowder, which was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated since I was starving. Before leaving, I also ordered two more 2 lb. steamed lobsters to go. I explained my concern, and the staff made sure they were thoroughly cooked before packaging them. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. I truly appreciate the team's dedication to customer satisfaction and their willingness to make things right. Their excellent service, combined with consistently great seafood, is why I've remained a loyal customer for years. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Felt like it was lacking seasoning both salt and other flavors. Cashier was friendly and gave great suggestions to the people in front of me. Service felt a bit slow for a bowl of chowder and a Katsu Sandwich. Took nearly half an hour to get my food.
