This place is absolutely Beautiful! Located right in Grand Central Terminal ( the old Michael Jordan's Steakhouse ) completely renovated and re opened. Our server was Bereket who I believe is from Ethiopia..Awesome young man who treated us like royalty ( even though we were only having a few drinks and apps. at the bar ) Of course its a bit Pricey..but the views alone are worth it. The food was absolutely Delicious!!! Definitely a great place for a corporate dinner, a romantic occasion, or a quick drink while you wait for your train. If you find yourself in the iconic Grand Central Terminal..stop in a TREAT yourself to a special experience. ENJOY!

Went there for a business dinner. Terrific location in Grand Central. Classic steakhouse linen and service. Impeccable. Ambiance is amazing. Watching the people traffic and admiring the architecture makes this a special spot. We sat in the steakhouse section - there is outdoor and a bar dining area. Apps were the Caesar salad. Super fresh and crunchy lettuce. Well dressed but not overpowering. Missing was the anchovies. Fried capers were a hit but anchovies needed. Ordered the Strachan steak. Cooked perfectly. Medium Rare of course. Juicy and very tasty with accompanying sauces - not really needed... Fish was the seabass with soy. Flaky fish super tasty and tender. The sauce accompanied the fish well and paired nicely with the wines. Brussels sprouts were a surprise. Leaves were fried and core appeared sautéed. It worked well. Some sauces also available. Carrots were ordered and were a hit also. Light glaze and firm. I love carrots so this was a great choice. French fries were ok. Nothing special. I recommend this place.

Came here for a family lunch over the weekend and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is located inside Grand Central and has been beautifully redesigned with a luxurious interior that overlooks the main concourse. There's also an outdoor terrace, which will be amazing in the spring and summer. The food and service were truly outstanding. We ordered the filet, crudité, and the pastrami sandwich (made with the same pastrami as Katz's), and everything was perfectly presented and delicious. The quality of the meat really stood out, and even the sides--from the French fries to the haricots verts--were cooked just right. Chef Sam was incredibly kind and welcoming, stopping by our table to say hello to the kids and surprising them with cotton candy and an amazing chocolate cake (don't skip it!). The dinner menu is even more extensive, and we're already looking forward to coming back to try the prime rib and other steak options.

Was looking for a new restaurant to eat at and came across Palladino's in my research... and found out that it was recently opened only a few months ago. Decided to take a friend for a birthday dinner here...turned out great! Make sure to make reservations! Had dinner in the main dining area... kudos #1 for giving us a booth with a view looking into Grand Central Station! Food and service were good and were were not rushed at all. Plenty of options to select from in the menu...though I already knew coming in my main course. Cocktails - decisions, decisions... was a tough one but ended up with a glass of the Schiava which I liked and recommend. Complimentary roll to start. Appetizer: Had the mozzarella - it was just ok for me. Entrees: Miso Chilean sea bass for me -- delish. My friend had the carrot wellington, which was the veggie version of the beef wellington... she said it was good. Plus an order of the blooming onion - which I thought was ok. Too much fried food for me. Dessert: Complimentary Celebration cake with butter, buttercream icing... heavy on the butter. the cake was good though. Also shared the Rustic apple tart served with vanilla bean gelato (it was ok)... there were other desserts to select from... but they ran out of the panna cotta, which I wanted...boo! Will have to come back another time. Unisex restroom from the booth was located right behind us. Noise level surprisingly wasn't bad considering we had a booth vs the section with tables up against each other. Looking forward to coming back and trying other options... and definitely getting a booth again. Thanks for making my friend's birthday dinner and evening feel special.

A really delicious burger.

New restaurant right by Grand Central with $25 Taittinger Champagne by the glass and delicious burgers with fries for $20. We had tried to go to this restaurant a few times but our timing was tough during the dinnertime rush. There are a couple of indoor bar areas with views of the Grand Central atrium, but the outside seating area is quite charming with a 1920s vibe. We ended up putting our name on the waitlist (party of 2 only) and the hostess took down a phone number and said it would be about a 15 minute way. After 20 minutes we had not received a text so we went back and they were able to find a table for us. I ordered one of the signature cocktails, but my companion ordered a Hemingway (Daiquiri). There was a miscommunication between the server and the bartender so she ended up with a Gin Martini. This was quickly rectified for the correct cocktail. We both ordered burgers and they came out hot and delicious with the perfect amount of fries. Overall a great experience and will definitely return.

Beautiful place! We stopped for some drinks before catching the train and had a great time. The Cosmopolitan was amazing! Bartender was friendly.

In full honesty wasn't my first choice for a reservation but WOW I am sure glad this evening happened. I have already scheduled a revisit! Let's start with the service. Over the top. Amazing. Unreal. True team effort but absolute call out to Eliah. She is an absolute professional. She made the evening stellar. Above and beyond. GM Marc also a true gem. Checked on every table and there was no task beneath him. He was doing whatever he needed to do to ensure the guests were happy and left satisfied. Again, true team effort starts at the top. I was also fortunate enough to meet Mr Palladino himself. Wishing him continued success as his attention to detail is obvious everywhere. Food. Everything was absolutely incredible. Meatball, onion bloom, cream spinach, NY Strip (cooked absolutely to perfection) snapper and sea bass with steamed veggies in a bag. I can't speak highly enough about the flavors and again, attention to detail. How about your choice of three different steak sauces?! Lived each one almost equally. Lastly the hummingbird cake? Seriously? Could this have gone any better? Pictures do not do this place justice. Absolutely gorgeous setting and Me Palladino you've outdone yourself. Absolutely counting the minutes to our revisit!!

What an experience! The food, the view, the service and the ambiance were all 10/10. Our server Enrique was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us in terms of what to order. Chef Sam happened to be passing through and was kind enough to stop at our table as well he also gave us some recommendations about the menu. We started with the scallops, taco trio, and the beer and Caesar salad. GET THE BEET SALAD. The meatball was incredibly tender, flavorful, and delectable. Truly mouthwatering! The prime rib is also another must order, garnished with fresh horseradish. The Strahan bone in NY strip was also a treat! To end the evening, a lovely espresso martini! I cannot wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu!

Awful. Genuinely one of the worst dining service experiences I've had. We were served by a red-haired waitress who immediately had an attitude. I asked a simple question about my tab at the start of service, and from that point on, it went downhill. She sighed, rolled her eyes, and walked away. Not exactly welcoming. After our appetizers, she completely disappeared. A new waiter took over without introducing himself, which only added to the overall lack of professionalism and organization. At one point, I overheard her speaking with the table next to us. While the guest was actively talking to her, she abruptly walked away mid-conversation. I actually captured this on a Live Photo while taking pictures for my friend--so this behavior wasn't subtle or a one-off. We also noticed other tables celebrating birthdays received cute signage and acknowledgment. We told our waitress at the beginning of our dining experience that we were there to celebrate as well. Nothing was done. Drinks were fine, except one had a gnat in it. We chose not to complain because, frankly, we didn't want to further irritate our already visibly annoyed waitress. To finish strong, our bill took 25 minutes to be brought to the table, while every surrounding table had already paid and left. Save your time and money and celebrate somewhere that actually values guests. Extremely disappointing experience. The two stars are purely for the steak. It's a shame the steaks are good but professionalism and management suffers. The birthday boy is in hospitality so he gave us a run down on what may be happening bt

Our waiter Christian was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Him and the rest of the staff made us feel special. The food was good everything tasted great. The ambience is unique, it makes the whole dining experience special.

I was extremely impressed with this place. You can't beat the location, restaurant itself was gorgeous. Our server was so friendly and very attentive. Food was amazing. Highlights were the baked clams, lump crab salad and the rolls. Would highly recommend and planning on coming back.

Very pleasant spot up the stairs at grand central.. I've never ventured upward at the station and was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality. I've been twice and have enjoyed the staff and cocktails. This time I tried lunch and was suggested to get the meatball entree by Fabiola who was so sweet. The meatball was tender and it had a smoked ricotta which added a unique flare to the dish. The garlic bread was soft and went well with the dish. I also had a lemon drop which was great made by Fabiola. The last time I visited Ronnie made me a paper plane and it was also made really well. Def will be back when I have a long wait for the metro north!

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way.
