    chicken and noodles bowl
    Serena H.

Ordered a chicken and noodles bowl to go because the seating area was dirty and not cleaned since the lunch hour. The photos of the food are much better than the actual quality of the food. Imagine if you ordered their lemon chicken for dinner but found that it was probably cooked six hours earlier, then sat in a bin at the counter for the rest of the day. The chicken was overcooked and dry. I don't know what is up with the other reviews. The ambience feels like this restaurant opened recently but is on the verge of falling apart.

Okay very quickly I'll get the negative out of the way. We arrived around 8:15 on Thursday 4/25/24. It was quiet. I needed to use the restroom, and our boys had to wash hands. There was no soap in the men's restroom and the women's wasn't the cleanest... There were A LOT of flies inside. Probably from the many plants, but they should try to do something about that. There are three different menus. The Yelp Menu for ordering, the website and the IN restaurant. That's confusing. Also because one has the coconut dipping sauce and bun as an appetizer as V but the woman who took our order said it was not. We ordered, and I think I ordered most of the vegan items on the menu. I got Turmeric Rice, Seaweed salad, Tofu Banh Mi, Tofu Bun and Tofu Salad Roll. The Turmeric Rice was disappointing but nothing else was. The seaweed salad was some of the best I've ever had. So fresh and crunchy. Lots of flavor. The Tofu Banh Mi was ONLY missing some sauce but MAN the tofu was lovely and the vegetables were DELICIOUS. The Tofu Salad Rolls (they are HUGE...like one is what 2.5-3 normal sized ones are,) were bright and fresh but they're not my thing. Especially since I really HATE peanut sauce. But they too were very fresh. But the star of the show is the Tofu Bun. Holy MOLY. I was not prepared for it. Fluffy buns. Fluffy buns. Fluffy buns. Where have you been all my life?! The stuffing again was SO fresh and flavorful. In loved all the textures and the layering of flavors from subtle to spicy and tangy. My friend ordered the Orange Chicken and the Sweet Chili dumplings and said they were fabulous. The prices are pretty great too. Because for all my food it was $42. (without tip added.) While we were finishing up, the ladies who were working sat down to a vermicelli bowl meal together and that looked drool worthy and fresh too. And it felt like a real family environment there to watch them together with the same food they make customers. This place was friendly, very worth the money and very good. We'll be back!!

Went here around 9:30 for some late night dinner and had a great experience. Food was great, the place had tables full, and they were super busy with takeout orders. We ordered 5 different things and they came out one at a time so we were there for a while but because of that they gave us extra soup dumplings, pot stickers and more curry! They were super apologetic but we were totally fine, deep in conversations. The food was fabulous, we will come back again!

Roasted Pork Belly Large super chewy

First time ordering this my boyfriend and I were so excited to try. I did curbside pick up because it was easier for me well I waited till 11:29 and it said to alert you when you're there well I waited like 10 minutes and I ask the girl what happened to curbside and she said we don't use that in such a rude manor when I was just asking a question. She told me my food is gonna be cold so I spent 70 dollars for my food to be cold because why offer curbside if "you don't do that" seriously super disappointed and the quality of the food wasn't good. The bahmi had like two pieces of meat and the pork belly was chewy and not even edible, I won't suggest this as a good place to eat.

"poke bowl". As someone who grew up in Hawaii ... This is not a poke bowl.this is a salad over rice with some fish
    Terra W.

Giving the "poke bowl" a 0/10 do not recommend. It is a salad over rice with some fish. It is not a poke bowl. Also who puts cilantro in poke bowls? It shouldn't have to be a thing I request not to add. The shrimp har gow is pretty good though.

I'm not going to waste a bunch of keystrokes on this review, due to being sadly disappointed in our experience. Let's just say we did not walk away HAPpy: Upsides: * Clean interior, nice layout. * Helpful digital menus with full color images of each entrée. * Thai Tea was awesome. * Employees were friendly, despite the slight language barrier. Downsides: * Bun Wraps say choice of protein, but I couldn't get a straight answer on what my choices were. I ended up with Char Sui pork, which was cold, bland and tasteless, and the buns tasted as if they'd absorbed some sort of cleaning product. I couldn't finish more than one of the three, even with a liberal application of hot sauce. * Shrimp shumai were alright, although they had a weird texture and felt slightly undercooked. My wife and I had been anticipating coming here for a while, but sadly, we'd be hard-pressed to come up with a compelling reason to return. Maybe it was just an off day, but the lingering, unpleasant taste of those buns will remain lodged in my brain far longer than they did on my tongue.

After flying into Portland we were in need of nourishment. A quick Yelp search led up here. The ambulance was casual but clean. Parking was super easy and ample. Plenty of food choices but we decided on the shumai, the pork belly buns and the spring rolls. All were freshly made and very flavorful, but the standout was the porkbelly. Service was great, and their attention to detail. In this semi post COVID age, the gentleman was conscious of remaining socially distant. Well done!

Ignore all the bad reviews. 10/5 stars, this place is amazing. My family always eats out at expensive restaurants around the country, yet this is some of the best food and service for the price point that my brother and I had ever received. The owners explained to us their menu options and what was best for our dietary accommodations. The house spicy sauce is homemade and BOMB, and the inside is very charming, great vibes to just chat with your friends and fam after. This place deserves more love

Really good dumplings and bang mi. A nice place to get a quick bite to eat. Authentic and delicious.

We ordered a variety of dishes including Cantonese beef chow fun, shrimp green beans, fish maw soup, and some stewed beef. The beef chow fun was a bit too dry in my option, there are definitely better options in Portland for this dish. However, the green beans were stir fried perfectly and were super crispy. I absolutely love a good fish maw soup, and this one was generous in the ingredients! The medium was more than enough for multiple bowls for the three of us. Finally, my favorite, the stewed beef, or ngau zap. It came still bubbling and hot, but the flavors hit the spot. The beef was tender and it paired really well with rice. Can't say much about their dim sum, since it has been quite a while since I've had it, but I'll be back soon to try it!

In this area, there are only 2 dim sum places (the other being Excellent Cuisine...apparently it's the same owner). There are 2 other dim sum places in the Beaverton area but they don't have carts. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning and the restaurant was about 2/3rds full. By 11 a.m. it's full and you will need to put your name on the wait list. Service is your usual...loud, kind of rude but not overtly great service but that's to be expected. Most of the ladies spoke Cantonese and Toisan. When you're ready to pay, you have to take your check to the counter and pay there. Food wise, it's legit. It doesn't have the same level of options that I'm accustomed (Los Angeles/Monterey Park) to but their staple dishes like ha how, siu mai, fung jow, dahn taht, hom sui gok were pretty good. But the food from the carts came out hot and fresh. If I'm back in the area again and need to satisfy my dim sum craving, I'd definitely come back.

However, we were too full to order piggy buns and we didn't see them on the rolling wagons. Thinking that it would be crowded, we arrived before opening time and saw that there were about six people waiting to get in. LOL! We were guaranteed a first round seat! Service was efficient since we sat near the kitchen - so we could see what's coming out fresh and hot! I asked if there were taro puffs (my niece's favorite) and hom sui gok (my dad's favorite). These fried items would be coming on the next wagon, but the server went and got them for us! Wow! Thanks! We got shrimp and chive dumplings and plain shrimp dumplings from this stemed items wagon. Of course, we had to have custard tarts and the cute piggy and ducky-shaped puddings! The coconut and mango flavors were subtle. We liked the coconut more, even though the ducky wiggled more! The place was full of hungry locals and tourists but was uncustomarily quiet and calm. From the hostess that seated us, to the waitress and servers, all staff and management were extremely polite, positive and helpful. We were starving. So we ordered 3 entrees and side of Dry-fried String beans. The Green Beans were cooked perfectly and the serving size was generous! One of our new favorites is the Mongolian Chicken. Is not a spicy Chinese food dish but the moist chicken and seasonings produced a yummy & comfort food level dish! As usual, the lightly battered & deveined Butterfly prepared Salt & Pepper Shrimp was mouthwatering, with every bite. As the last entree to be served. The ten Chicken & Vegetable Dumplings were fresh and flavorful. Needless to say, with only 2 patrons eating lunch with 3 heaping entrees plus Dry-fried String beans and white rice - we took home 2 more meals worth of Chinese food leftovers. The soup had vegetables as well. The Mongolian beef was tasty, and went well with the brown rice we ordered. The garden vegetables were slightly overcooked, but plentiful. I loved the light sauce because it didn't overpower the crisp-tender vegetables. We also ordered hot green tea. We appreciated that they offer free refills. The quantity served was greater than expected. Enough for a second dinner at home tomorrow. This will be our go-to place locally for Chinese food. Service was excellent. Plus, they gave my husband a military discount (he's a U.S. Air Force veteran). The restaurant was busy. Not too loud. My husband and I were still able to carry on a conversation.
