OK, full disclosure, we ordered from Uber Eats, so I am unable to speak to the ambiance or service. However, after eating the food I really have no desire to learn more. The pot stickers were full and looked delicious. Perfectly cooked, but bland, definitely lacking seasoning. Desperately needed the dipping sauce that was a touch to spicy and vinegary for my taste. The pork fried rice was dry, bland and lacking those delectable add ins like green onions, peas, egg, anything....The BBQ pork tasted more like left over teriyaki chicken minus the sauce, just weird. But who gets cocktail sauce with BBQ pork? Not me! There was no hot mustard, no ketchup and no sesame seeds. $40 bucks of blah....just say no and try somewhere else, I know I will from now on. read more

Ordered combo plate, sweet and sour chicken paid extra for white meat, Soggy chicken with absolutely no sauce. Not on the side or on the chicken. Tastes like unclean fryer grease. Chow main, cooking the noodles an after thought if at all, no flavor. Pork fried rice, about a half a tbls of pork thrown on the top. Again, lacking any sort of culinary thought. First things first, calling to place the order was bizarre, I called and the gal was so short and rude after every item I got "ok, mmhmm, ok" just weird. We got pork fried rice, so bland and weirdly crunchy. Sweet and sour chicken and fried shrimp look IDENTICAL. We even called because I thought they had forgotten the chicken and the lady screamed at me that the chicken looks like the shrimp...ok ew. Bbq pork was sooo dry. The chow mein looked old (I didn't eat it) and the saddest most disappointing thing was the crab puffs, they were like soggy and sad. They were undercooked so the texture was disgusting. We love this place. Today we got egg foo yung (which is what I always get-it's the best ever), veggie fried rice, and crab puffs. Horribly rude and borderline racist. Watched them be nice to an Asian family but as I waited for my food (a white women) they were short rude and condescending to me, a man who placed a large order of over 100 dollars, and another family who made the mistake of simply asking too many questions?! Trust me. Stay away from this place they treat you like a burden. I'd give 0 stars for service and 2 stars for very average over priced food. So let's settle at 1 star. read more

Solid option for take out in East Vancouver. We had the General Tso Chicken, sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, and crab puffs. Everything was nice and crunchy. They packed the meat separate from the sauce to keep everything crispy. I might recommend writing on the boxes to indicate which meat is which. We had to take our best guess on chicken vs pork before pouring the sauces. When I called the wait time for pick up was 10 minutes. I requested to pick up at a later time and they were accommodating and right on time. I would highly recommend Mars for take out Chinese food. read more

Do not go here. They ignored the line out the door of take our orders. Kept taking in more as they had a lobby full of ppl waiting. Kept putting out take out orders of ppl who weren't in the lobby. Then told all the ppl (ofc after they took their money) that they can't give us a "how much longer". So ridiculous. I'll never go again. read more

We were ready to have a combination meal, but remembered that the chow mein just had long noodles instead of vegtables. So we asked for one that had veggies in it' and they said well if you order each individually you will get veggies with it. So $32 later, we brought it home and lo and behold there's those peskie long noodles again. I called complaining about this, said I would like my money back. Got lots of arguement there, only wanted to give ne one order of chow main with veeggies for my trouble. The rest of the food (rice etc) was just bland with an oily after taste, I tossed it. Walked in off the street and checked to see if they had beef with black bean sauce. They had it with chicken and they had it with shrimp but they didn't have it with beef. I asked the waitress if they could make it for me and they were quite accommodating. You can find beef with black bean sauce at all the old school Chinese restaurants where you sit down and eat family style. I told them what was in it and they gladly made it for me. I also got the BBQ Pork and it was close, but no cigar. This place is pretty good. I would go out of my way to eat here again. read more

Was craving Chinese food And decided to stop by this place, I must tell you I made the right decision The food tastes great the portions are ginormous!! And the prices are very decent You can't go wrong with this place. I took my order to go, but I did notice the restaurant is very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly(Asian friendly) they're not very open and such but that's just how they are in general. I will return to this place many many many times since it's only a mile from my house lol Really tasty and very generous portions of food! This place has the best water from the fountain. NO JOKE! Me and my family love the water here. It so refreshing, and cold. It's one of the reasons we love to dine-in. Also we have never had an issue with reliability. You always know what your getting. Great food! Our go to is the 'Chef Special' with all white meat, without MSG were possible and it's the best. There soup is great as well. The service is great. They are very attentive. They will come right over, if you need anything. Quickest service I have ever experienced. I went there a week ago, my experience was not good, the place itself is not clean enough, I asked fried wonton and a ramen soup, the wonton was grease and the little bowl of sauce was it enough. The ramen didn't hv any seasoning and the taste was hot water with unsalted noodles in it. The shrimp where not pealed and had part of the black pop in his back. I don't use to write reviews even if there is one or two bad things but here I think is necessary to share my disappointment! read more

Sweet and sour chicken was tough. Rice not so great. Changed the recipe for chicken sub gum, it's "creamy" using cashews instead of almonds but I like cashews, though it was ok but wife not so impressed. Fried shrimp was leather. Chicken was not the best and you pay a little extra for all white meat. We have been disappointed the last couple visits and wife is totally out so we will stick with green tea. Maybe tough times there? We had combos the last couple of visits but maybe some dishes better. Service is a bit "cold". Overall, it will work in a pinch bit better options are out there. read more

It tasted like chinese food but we were underwhelmed. The pork fried rice was just white rice with a little soy sauce mixed in, teeny tiny pieces of pork, and a bit of scrambled egg. No crispy noodles came with my chicken sub gum chow mein. And it also only had onions and celery, barely cooked, with a few pieces of water chestnuts. Even the fortune cookies were stale. The only reason why I gave it a rating of 3 stars is because they were fast and friendly and the portions are great for the price. Ordered food online to be picked up after my commute from Oregon. I have been a repeat customer for 5 years. When I asked to use the bathroom (and yes I was wearing a mask)I was very rudely told no. I was forced to go next door to McMenamins and buy a drink which I did not want ,nor did I drink to use their bathroom. I love their food. However, I have a huge concern! They have a female server that wears a glove (one on her right hand) and does everything with it. As an infection control specialist, her use of a gloved hand is all wrong. She takes money with it, handles your food, glasses, etc. etc. without changing the glove. It may protect her if she has a cut on her hand. It does nothing to protect you as a customer! It puts you at risk for all kinds of contamination. We all must be more diligent in our hand hygiene and demand our food handlers to do the same. read more

I have been coming here for about 7+ years and this is my favorite Chinese restaurant not just in Vancouver, but possibly anywhere. I have ordered maybe 8+ of the dishes they serve and all of them have been great, including the amazing fried rice they make. I personally order the "Mongolian Chicken". Moreover, the portions are more than generous (I eat A LOT), dinner sized portions could potentially be split among 2 people who don't eat like me. The service is very quick, when I order for a family of 6, they usually have the order done in 10 minutes. This local business is a hidden gem and the staff are so friendly!
