We were looking for a local place to grab Christmas dinner from a place we hadn't tried before. We gave this place a try and glad we did. They had a lot of take out meals happening but not a lot of diners (which was great). Our order was taken and served just as quickly. Coke products were great to see. It was a limited menu because of holiday but we didn't notice. It was family style and probably could have split a meal together (but whats the fun in that lol). Pricing was excellent for what you get portion wise. Service was attentive. Highly recommend checking it out!

Very friendly service was greeted promptly. The establishment is dated, but very clean. The food was exactly what I was looking for traditional Chinese food. The servers were attentive

We came in here hungry and they did not disappoint. We were seated and after ordering the food came out fairly quickly. The service was nice. We had pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and kung pow pork. All of it was every bit of delicious.

Lackluster food. Ordered take out and utensils of any kind provided. Prepared quickly, so probably prepared ahead of time and not fresh. The food was all stuffed into 1 bowl, so the egg rolls and crab Rangoon were soggy and covered in the sweet and sour that was on the chicken. I could not eat this food. After a few bites, it gave me a stomach ache. Really wish I had chosen a different restaurant.

Included fried rice side that I already raided

Fairly good Chinese option within 7 miles of our house near downtown Vancouver on Main. I'm spending all my holiday money on discovering new food sources as a tribute to my laziness. They had our order ready at the time specified on the online order if not earlier. The building is aged outside and in. I guess that's why there were no guests dining that I could see. Oddly, the parking lot was mostly full so either they have a lot of employees that park in the customer lot, or they don't police their lot from being poached by customers of other businesses. I love places like this that hand your dishes to you in a former canned goods box. They include packets of soy sauce and fortune cookies that went right in the trash which is a shame. I'll request none of that next time. They included a quart of egg drop soup which was pretty good considering it's free and they even drew a :) on it. Lol. The fried rice is basic with peas, carrots and egg in with a very light soy seasoning. It's a great complement to any of their dishes including the soup versus a standalone. Orange chicken is the beer battered variety which doesn't stand up to the sauce unless you eat it all in one sitting which we never do. Golden City has a better version, but the overall flavor is good. Snowpea and broccoli chicken use the same white sauce but different vegetables. Good dishes for lightening up your dinner if you order fried stuff. Solid lo mein source. Noodles are wheat ones on the thin side but not vermicelli thin. Greasy to the right degree with a decent amount of sliced white chicken, carrot and cabbage. I enjoyed these and would go back for those. Everything was good, just not the the best batter on the orange chicken and way too much white onion in the chicken veg dishes.

Hands down my favorite Korean Chinese fusion spot in the greater Portland area!! Pan + Grill K…read moreFusion serves the best black bean noodles I've had around here - rich, savory, and full of that unmistakable wok hei flavor. The pork belly is high quality and they don't skimp on the veggies. Their tangsuyuk is another standout, perfectly crispy even when coated in sauce, which is no easy feat (if you know, you know). The wasabi shrimp has a unique, addictive flavor with just the right amount of crunch. And the kimchi burger? Thoughtfully crafted with a soft brioche bun, a juicy, flavorful patty, and kimchi that really pops. Beyond the food, the hospitality makes the experience even better. Sam and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. They are happy to offer recommendations, check in throughout your meal, and always greet you with a smile. If I lived closer, I would be there all the time, especially to take advantage of their lunch specials. If you are in the area, this place is an absolute must try, especially since they are always updating the menu with new dishes to try!

I didn't give it a 5 star because I was a bit disappointed with how little protein they add to their ganjjajang. First time I ordered the pork and then I ordered the seafood on another visit. The taste was amazing and authentic but I was disappointed with the pork because they give you like 6 pieces of pork and there is tiny fried pieces as well but the size of a scab lol. I love the big pieces of veggies in it but it's sad they can't do the same with the protein. Now with the seafood version it was the exact same thing very little protein but mountain of veggies except this time the zucchini was so tiny while they gave me giant blocks of onions again I don't mind that but it's all disproportionate. Nothing to what I have had at different Korean spots in Arizona. Everything else is amazing like their fried rice or bulgogi burgers. Their tteokboki is alright it's a niche type of dish so it won't be for everyone. It was more sweet than I like but that's just a me thing. Service was great and the ambiance was chill, quiet and cozy. We will still be returning just maybe will stop ordering the jajamyeon unfortunately.

I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, with steamed rice and an Eggroll. Also Hot and Sour soup. Soup was delivered quickly... and it was good. Nice egg flowers, black fungus and tofu... flavor was adequate. Not spicy though. They soon brought out my main course, and there was a HUGE portion of General Tso's Chicken. Very crispy crust, and tender chicken. Sauce was ok.. again, not spicy. Eggroll was really large, and tasty. Rice was nicely cooked and didn't taste like it had set in a steamer for hours. Great service... good food. Whats not to like? Far better than the last place I tried.

I'm allergic to shrimp, so the server gave us extra BBQ pork slices in our won ton soup. The soup was delicious. We appreciate that the soup base wasn't salty. The won tons were cooked perfectly. The soup had vegetables as well. The Mongolian beef was tasty, and went well with the brown rice we ordered. The garden vegetables were slightly overcooked, but plentiful. I loved the light sauce because it didn't overpower the crisp-tender vegetables. We also ordered hot green tea. We appreciated that they offer free refills. The quantity served was greater than expected. Enough for a second dinner at home tomorrow. This will be our go-to place locally for Chinese food. Service was excellent. Plus, they gave my husband a military discount (he's a U.S. Air Force veteran). The restaurant was busy. Not too loud. My husband and I were still able to carry on a conversation. I highly recommend Taste of China for those looking for reasonable prices, a nice selection of Chinese dishes, wonderful service, and good food. It's across the street from Costco, on the same side of the road as Home Depot. We will definitely be back.

The flavors of the food across the board are so much stronger and complex than literally all other Chinese food restaurants I've ever patronized. Their operating model, though, is confusing. They have a lot of "ready now" entrees pre-made for immediate service (think "Panda Express"), and several others that are made-to-order. The "made to order" seems to be the better choice, as what's in the "ready to go" section may well have been sitting around long enough to get soggy. I know this from firsthand experience when some of my General Tso's chicken was the last of what was premade, and the rest was fresh. Not surprisingly, the fresh portion was hot and crispy (and DELICIOUS), and the portion from the premade batch was soggy and lukewarm. There are two chairs in the interior for patrons, so be prepared to stand while your order is filled. Parking is easy as Mar's is attached to a unique and charming Country store with its own parking lot.
