Just wasn't a fan that there isn't any type of communication like an email, phone call, or text notifying you because I would have liked to have picked them up closer to the first hour mark.

Who knew Clearasil was such a hot commodity. I was about to give up and change my skincare routine, until I stopped here. I will say, I have bypassed this location so many times because of how sketchy it looks from outside. I mean, it's a place, that if it were more pedestrian friendly, would give you the notion that it was an easy place to rob or steal from. It is so odd looking, a suburban, mall adjacent CVS with a parking lot lower than the store and you have to take stares or walk halfway down the store to use the ramp. I knew coming here I was probably not going to find the item. And if I did, it was going to be more expensive than competitors since it is technically a pharmacy. One of those two things were true, and my wallet can tell you which one. Yes, finally had the item, but definitely spent almost twice as much for it. Before heading to the register I did a once over to see if there was anything else that I wanted to grab. There was, with my hand full I finally made my way to the front. What a mess this is here. With the combination of customers not knowing what to do, not enough employees in the store working, and those employees that are in the store are way overworked to the point they can't focus on the register because they are putting out customer fires. To say that checking out was a nightmare would be an understatement. With customer's not being able to read signs, people wanting to use cash or get cash back had both the self serve registers messed up. The sole employee trying to be customers cashed out would have to run from his post at the register to the self serve registers to have those customers come to the register to solve their problems. That line went as fast as prolonged street light. Lord, watching the sole employee juggle the chaos was amazing. That man needs a raise, but we know CVS won't do that. I finally got to a self serve register, no help needed because I read the sign first. Rang out and was finally out the door, down the steps, and back in my vehicle.

I'm usually a CVS person, but they are kind of spread out down here and not in the best areas for parking. So to here is where I have been going. It's like this is an after thought when it came to store planning. Almost an endcap for the strip mall that it sits in, it really just doesn't feel like an appropriate pharmacy. My first few visits here I had no problem with filling a prescription. And with my insurance I was happy with the pricing. They were usually timely with filling the prescriptions and I would just come and go fairly quickly. However, recently I have had some missteps here. Making me think I should go elsewhere to have the upcoming prescriptions filled. I recently had a slew of prescriptions needed to be filled. I had them in hand and dropped them all off. I had errands to do and was going to return later when I was finished and past the time they said they would have them all filled by. Upon arriving at the later time, some of my prescriptions were still not filled. It was a bit out of their control as what was prescribed was not what they had on hand and instead of ordering it for arrival the next day they wanted to go the route of having the prescribing doctor to change the prescription. I gave them a day and returned. They still hadn't filled it and told me to wait some more. I declined and took the prescription to another pharmacy, a CVS, and was able to get it filled by the next day. Again, I came here to pick up an item and they were completely out and no one was around to stock the shelves. It feels rundown in here and given the right circumstances will run you down too.

At 12 noon EST, I called my pharmacist who is PST: I explained I inadvertently left a prescription at home. She then called Dr. Ram and I drove the couple of blocks to pick up my prescription. It was a pleasure doing business with Dr. Ram! I took a few of his business cards and gave them to my sister and her neighbors; as he had several existing clients on her street.

I took my cart of items to the cashier line. When it was my turn for the cashier to check me out, I showed her that I had personal shopping bags for her to use. She continued to ring up my cart full of items. After she finished, she gave me total due, and I paid with my card. While I swiped the card, I thought to myself: "she has all of my items on the carousel nearly falling on the floor and has not bagged them. Maybe she'll bag them after I pay". To my surprise, that was not the case. I spent between 5 and 10 minutes working around the carousel to bag up 3 full shopping bags of items. What made it so bad, she watched me do this while ringing up the next customer behind me. After I finally bagged up my items ($150 worth), I was frustrated, felt slighted, and somewhat embarrassed that I received no help -- not to mention no "thank you" after she gave me the receipt. Giant Food has good quality items and products, but what does it matter if the customer service fails to match? The answer is that it doesn't matter.

It's in the midst of the university and they require you to pay in the parking lot, unless you wanted to chance it and run in with hopes that you won't get caught. That took forever as they had the registers set to minimum. Ran out of the store to get back into my vehicle to figure out how to get out of the parking lot.
