She disappeared behind a set of boxes behind the counter and I thought she was looking for the hair I asked for. She was gone an unusually long time, so I walked over to see what she found for me. Turns out, homegirl was on the phone having a personal conversation. I looked at her like "Really?" and she had the nerve to smile and give me the "Hold on, I'll only be a minute" hand. No ma'am. After several more minutes of waiting for her to get off the damn phone, I finally asked the girl at the register to help me. She walked behind the counter and the Asian woman told her she helping me. I said to her, "No, you're on the phone" and told the Ethiopian lady what I needed. She was not much better. I told her the color and style I wanted, showed her my hair, and she proceeded to pull out everything I did not want. I asked for 1B 33 hair, she showed me a pack of the ugliest "33" hair I've ever seen. No 1B in it at all. And it was straight. I specifically said (several times) that I did not want straight hair. She proceeds to pull out other styles that clearly do not match my color. Finally she told me, "Well you should just get 30 or 430, because that's all we have". Wait...let me get this straight. Since your supply is inadequate and insufficient, I should just go out with my hair not matching and looking a hot mess because 'that's all you have'? Ok... The experience I had here was unacceptable. And it is not the first time the customer service has been lacking, but this has definitely been the worst. If you don't have what I need, then say so. If you need to take a call, then say so. Sistas spend way too much damn money in here to be bothered with this kind of foolishness. So my daughter and I ventured in here the other day because we were looking for more idea so what to do for her hair. I swear as I walked through here I heard "angelic music" because it was like a "beauty supply warehouse without that dingy warehouse feeling". The hair products (wigs, tracks, braids, etc.) are all up to par and updated. I saw hair in here that I haven't seen in a LOT of the other local beauty supply spots. The accessories for hair are awesome. Prices are extremely reasonable. The people running it can speak and understand clear English. Last weekend three of us celebrating our birthday went to the Fashion and Beauty Hut (behind the Checkers on 450) to buy wigs and whatever else caught our eye. As we were trying on the wigs we were putting them back on the heads and putting the heads back on the shelf where we got them. The owner's male relative (we will call him Jr.) came over to us and told us to put the heads back and ask him for what we want. Understand the wings are not behind the counter and we are not permitted to pick them up and try them on. He then tells us we have to have wig caps on to try the wigs on. We all show him we have brand new wig caps on as we just came from another store trying on wigs. He tells us we have to buy his cap and throws wig caps onto the counter. He then tells us we were getting on his nerve and we could only try on three wigs and we have to "get out". I then tell my friends I am not spending money there. As I walk around to the front of the store to speak with the young lady that was there and Jr comes around and stands behind her laughing and making fun of the fact we were expressing the disappointment in the service. I speak with the owner and the best I could get was he is young and he will talk to him. After this outragous experience I WILL NOT be spending another dime in this store.
