I will never shop at this CVS again. I had a very upsetting experience with the cashier, Naima, who falsely accused me of stealing makeup. I was simply standing in the cosmetics section looking at products. Before I came in, there were some teenage kids in that same area. When they left, the door alarm went off. I overheard the employees talking, and the manager asked Naima if the kids were all gone. Naima responded, "No, one is still there and just put something in her pocket," clearly referring to me. I was shocked and humiliated. I immediately approached her and said, "How dare you accuse me of stealing?" I showed her that I had nothing in my pockets. I had done absolutely nothing wrong, yet I was treated like a criminal in front of other customers. I felt completely berated and embarrassed. No customer should ever be falsely accused without proof. This experience was disrespectful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Finally found it! So this CVS location had something I really wanted to try! It's the Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made foundation. I had been hearing all the buzz and a lot of reviewers of the product said it was easily accessible at your local drug stores including CVS, Rite-Aid, Walgreens, Target, etc...Lies! This foundation was not easy for me to find, at least not in my shade (D40). I was on a hunt to track down this product and yesterday I was successful. The foundation comes in 40 shades and this CVS had the shade I needed and I'm overjoyed. It's a decent drug store foundation by the way! It sells here for $12 and I had a coupon so I only paid $9. If you don't already, definitely go sign up for the CVS extra bucks reward program! You will thank me later. The store itself is reasonably stocked and organized. I also find a good selection of falsies (lashes) here. I've never been here when it's overly crowded. Service has always been good. They don't have self-checkout options. The other black woman with strange extensions spoke badly to me from the first moment I arrived to ask for the medicine and I told her why she spoke to me that way. I'm only writing this review to HELP YOU GUYS OUT. Please, please be careful in giving your patients the CORRECT SHOT. Their lives, your store, your department could be sued if you give people the incorrect vaccine, which they did not consent to receive. I booked my grandma an appointment online a week in advance to get the Pfizer booster shot on Monday. I got my confirmation number and everything was good to go. On the day of the appointment ( Friday ), literally a hour before their appointment, I got a email saying it got cancelled. I called my grandparents to see if they happened to cancel and they said no. I called the store and the lady at the pharmacy said " we did not cancel it, call customer service to handle it ". I called customer service, spoke to a guy. He end up calling the store and talking to the pharmacy department. He came back and said " the reason why they canceled it is because they did not have Moderna in stock ". MODERNA? I requested Pfizer for my grandma. My grandma is really sensitive to certain medicines and shots. This is what really got me heated, the customer service guy called the store again and he said " I'm not sure what happen but Pfizer is in stock but they can honor the appointment ". I said okay and told my grandparents to go ahead for her appointment. I'm calling from Atlanta, Georgia to handle a situation for my grandma here in Hyattsville, Maryland (My hometown). They don't speak English well and barely know what's going on. My grandpa got there and told me the lady said we don't have an appointment, this got me heated AGAIN. I spoke to the lady and she didn't want to speak to me. I asked her what's going on and she completely ignore my question and with an attitude, she asked for my grandma's date of birth. She also told me she can see her and then hand the phone back to my grandpa. No one apologized to me or my grandparents. They also did not take any accountability for what happen. Please be careful. They almost gave my grandma a shot that WE DID NOT CONSENT to receive. She could have had a bad reaction to Moderna as she has ONLY HAD PFIZER shots from day one. Seeing how unprofessional and rude they are as well as not caring for my concerns about my grandparents made me furious. I work in the medical field and I care for all of my patients. I am an understanding person. Yes; mistakes happens but when it comes to injecting patients with vaccines, they need to be MORE careful. I wish they were honest with me from the beginning so I could have avoided going in a circle with the customer service guy. He was the only person that gave me an answer from THEIR PHARMACY. A guy who's not even working in that store was giving me more answers than the pharmacy department Itself. If they had Moderna in stock and did not cancel the appointment, my grandma would have gotten the wrong shot. The outcome may not have been good. I'm only writing this review to help them and others. I will NEVER set foot inside this CVS EVER again. My wife and I made appointments for Covid booster shots. My wife last week and mine the day before. The appointments were confirmed and verified. When we went to the pharmacy to get the shots today, we were told, rudely I might add, that they didn't have any shots. when I told the tall dark skinned African American young lady with glasses that we had appointments, she rudely restated that they didn't have and shots. When my wife asked why we weren't informed of this before we made the trek to the store, they said that they just found out this morning????? Well, it was 12:00 now, you didn't have time to let someone in charge know, You couldn't let your customers know, that's unacceptable. After such a nice experience with the person on the phone, Karen, making the appointment, to have this outcome is sad. I was so pissed in the store, it took all of my self-control to not act a fool and start yelling. Once again, I will never use this CVS again, and after reading the reviews, i would hope that the management would look into it. Update the pharmacy is still trash! I guess i will just have to transfer my meds to Walgreens bc this is ridiculous! How does CVS text me and tell me my prescriptions are ready but i pull up to the window and they say they don't see any orders! And instead of fixing what is clearly their mistake you tell me to come back 2 hours later bc y'all are going to lunch! I don't usually use this CVS as I prefer the one in the Target across the street. Today my daughter's prescription was sent here in error so I went in around 6:45 to pick it up. There was a line at the pharmacy but this pharmacist was a total rock star! As an assistant manned the drive through, the pharmacist was working the counter assisting each person in turn. She was kind and patient as she was answering questions, asking questions and taking care of everyone in the line as efficiently as possible. Kudos! read more

I like the staff at this store, but not a good place for covid diagnostic testing. I went to this location for a pPCR test for travel. It seems Quest is not very timely picking up the samples; the pleasant attendant said it may be 8p tonight, which will not return the results in time for my travel, so going to Walgreens. read more

Yesterday I came to the pharmacy with a chronic pain due to a permanent problem I have. Asked to an employee about some pain killers and she told me to wait for the pharmacy specialist. Her name is LINDA. She kindly listened to me and recommended me a specific medication over the counter, so I could have better days without pain before my Doctor's appointment in two more weeks. So... I have to say that I had the best experience at the pharmacy and highly recommend everyone to visit this place when the time to get the right medications will come. I have to say that LINDA, recommended me to make sure I visit a doctor in relation to my problem. And today I came back to the Pharmacy to buy some other items; made the line to the cashier and once again; another young lady was at the register and very friendly and kindly asked me for my CVS card. She was very efficient asistíng me to get the discounts on the purchased items and very nicely was able to help me. Her name is JACKELYN, I definetly will make this location my pharmacy of choice; don't matter if I have to drive the extra miles just to get the nice and polite treatment I was able to experience this time. A neatly-organized, well-stocked, well-staffed store (in spite of recent snowstorm events). The pharmacy at this place is horrible. From the pharmacist to the techs. I've called corporate to complain but it does no good. I've had multiple problems getting prescriptions and they will not do the work unless you tell them to do it. The wait times they give you are never met, they do not know how to work with insurances, they are not able to communicate properly, and I could go on but I've already wasted too much time in dealing with them. Just got off the phone with my doctors office because I've been waiting 3 weeks for my prescription because of a prior authorization that was needed. They said they did the PA in 3 days and sent the pharmacy an e-fax letting them know the approval went through. The pharmacy just put the prescription on hold and is now telling me it will be an hour wait. I know I'll drive up in 2 hours and have to sit in the drive-thru while they finish it. Stopped by this past Saturday around 9:30pm and there was a short guy standing near the door in a coat and hat and no one else in the front of the store. I proceeded to go to the ice cooler to grab and bag of ice and there was only one bag in the cooler and a ton of mice feces inside the cooler directly below the rack that the bag of ice was sitting on. I was beyond disgusted to say the least. I looked around for a Manager and a nice young man who seemed to be the only person working in the store an aisle over organizing a shelf said that he was the Manager and that he would take care of it. He seemed genuinely surprised but idk...The store was closing and I didn't wait around to see what was done. I hope it has since been addressed and resolved. read more

If you need to buy gum or a greeting card, I'm sure they can handle it. If you need a pharmacist, run away now. I had one prescription there. To be fair, the pharmacist actually had her head screwed on straight, but she was surrounded by a large staff whose abilities varied from surly to completely incompetent. They screwed it up the first time by not giving me the same amount of medication the prescription called for. The explanation and remedy for this varied depending on when you called and who you talked to. Once I got the problem fixed (and the documentation to prove it) they kept calling me back, offering various solutions. Then they screwed it up again, exactly the same way as the first time. The third time I went it, only to find the prescription incorrectly filled, I had to wait for almost an hour as the pharmacist had "just stepped out for a minute" and no one there understood what my problem with the refill was, since it had been filled that way twice before. Sigh... I transferred the prescription to a competent pharmacy, and spent the rest of the year ignoring robo-calls by CVS telling me my refill was ready. read more

The pharmacy at this location is probably the worst out of any CVS that I have been to for a prescription. The pharm techs are slow and their best attempt at proper communication is akin to what I would expect from 3rd grader. Where do they hire these people from? It's annoying to have to hear someone mumble a response like a child. And forget fast service! These folks are forgetful, rude, slow and untrained.
