And they never admit to fault, which grows tiresome when things keep going wrong. The older woman pharmacist was involved in most of the mishaps. Sigh.

As far as the products, things were stocked incorrectly and stocked in a lazy manner. After filling up an entire shelf of a certain brand of pretzels, instead of taking the remaining 3 or 4 bags in the box in to the back these extras were placed to rest on top of the full shelf. We arrived for our appointments about 15 minutes early and the pharmacist told us to take a seat in the vaccination area. The vaccination area included a private area for the vaccinations and about 10 folding chairs. When we got there all of the chairs were taken and we thought we would be there a long time. But things were well organized and the nurse/pharmacist administering the vaccines kept things moving. Also it helped that all of our registration information was already entered into a computer and we just had to sign the consent form. After our vaccines I did a little shopping and was impressed that items were well-stocked and organized. The cashier was very pleasant and automatically checked to see if we had any coupons on our CVS card.

In a separate room, a young woman took measurements of my legs to make sure that I purchased the correct size in either the Jobst or Sigvaris stockings. With measurements in hand, Yusef diligently and patiently went through walls of stockings and picked out the ones I required per the prescription. When the cashier rang up purchase and my FSA card only accepted one stocking, Yusef quickly redid the purchase so that my FSA card would accept two stockings as written by the doctor and provided me with an extra receipt for my records. The stockings are definitely more expensive at the pharmacy than online. The extra cost was worth it knowing that I was measured for the correct size, time saved from having to search online and price compare, and manage receipts from an online store. All-in-all, top notch service! Further, the pharmacy is clean, well-organized and in addition to the usual pharmacy fare, also carries some hair accessories, "Butter" fingernail polish, unique skincare products, etc.

But there are long lines, other sick people crowding your space, the pharmacist may or may not be friendly...and then, when you finally hand over your prescription, you are told there will be a ridiculously long wait. Seriously, it sucks. Until you discover Vashan Compounding Pharmacy. This place is so cute, calming, and clean. The pharmacists and staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They filled my prescriptions so quickly that I didn't even know it was possible to get a prescription filled so fast. Even compared to other compounding pharmacies, the pharmacists here work much faster while still producing high quality medicine. So while you may never think, "oh yay, I have to go to the pharmacy today!" at least at Vashan you'll feel peace of mind knowing that you'll be taken care of.

Apart from the fact that we never used it, the back wrap isn't "hygienic" when purchased -- it comes unwrapped inside an unsealed plastic box.

At CVS, I'd fill it and if they didn't have it they wouldn't tell me and I'd have to call and talk to someone and MAYBE it would get ordered. Maybe not. It could take a week or more to get what I needed. I found this to be true with other pharmacies as well, so I figured they were all like this. This Safeway not only fills my meds within half an hour or so of having it called in, they currently have a program where you get a 50 dollar store credit after so many refills. There is never really much of a line and the people that work there are actually nice to interact with. This is nothing like any pharmacies I have had to deal with elsewhere.
