This location has made solid efforts to modernize the store. The cleanliness and setup are noticeably better than before. There is some cosmetic upgrades that corporate could do, but the store itself has improved over the years. read more

Overall, I had a decent experience at this CVS location. While I stopped by to pick up a few things, I had no problems finding what I was looking for. Unlike a few other CVS Pharmacies in the area, this location is pretty well stocked. Actually, I picked up a few items that I did not need. WORST PHARMACY EVER! I have been there four times this week to pick up a life sustaining medication- I've spent hours in line to pick up this one prescription. I never got close to the counter so last chance today - I go there 7:45 am, thinking they open at 8 am - nope they open at 10 am, so I go back at 9:40 am to stand in line before the open. Get to the counter to find out - the price is 6x higher than it is suppose to be, that it is only a 30 day supply instead of 90 day, which will then end up costing 18x more- $180 vs $10 I usually pay. So guess what after all that - I'm directed now to stand in a DIFFERENT line - I'm not kidding. I asked for prescription to be transferred to different pharmacy- guess what - that's a different line! So I don't have the medication I need to prevent a stroke while I fly on an airplane tomorrow. CVS is a death trap - it is not medicine- it will kill you. read more

INAPPROPRIATE COMMENT BY EMPLOYEE: I am just now leaving this CVS knowing I will not return. I walked into the store and the greeter said "good morning to me" and I replied saying "good morning" back, never stopping, just walking. I kept walking and as I passed him he yelled to me "I like blondes!" followed by "I mean I like your hair." Clearly he knew he messed up by catcalling me and was trying to recover. I put my head down and just kept walking to the back and hid in the corner of the minute clinic because I needed to be here for work. Since I put my head down I didn't fully read his name tag, but it was something along the lines of "Serja" and he was the greeter this morning (7/35/2023) at 8:58 when I walked in and at 9:20 when I left. read more

I came here for a covid test. This isn't my normal location but it's the only one who had appointments available for the next day so I came here. I've gotten tested at a different location back in April so I know how quick and easy it is. I was literally in and out in less than 10 minutes so I was expecting the same thing. So I get to CVS about 10 minutes early for my 12:00pm appointment and then ended up having to wait an additional 45 minutes. Never once seeing a pharmacist or Dr. Plus there's no one at the desk to assist with check in so every time someone showed up, they just stood around aimlessly for a few minutes waiting for an employee or someone to say something or acknowledge them. Another patient eventually went up to an employee to complain about the wait and that's when we finally saw the Dr come out. There was 3 of us waiting with appointment times of 12, 12:20 and 12:30. Yet no one saw a pharmacist until 12:50 when we complained about the wait time. What's the point of making an appointment for a particular time if I'm just going to have to wait an hour anyway?! I had other things to do today so now I'm running late! Never coming here again! read more

I was trying for 2 days to get my Pfizer #covid19 booster shot. When I awoke at 4 am Friday and checked the cvs.com website again the CVS at this location was the only one near me that had any available appointments. I grabbed one for 10:15 am that day! I've been to this store a few times since moving to Silver Spring MD as I was working nearby or getting gas at the Shell gas station just across the street. Adjacent to the pharmacy there is a vaccination center and a Minute Clinic. I used the texted link to check in for my booster shot upon entering the store and then checked in at the pharmacy counter as the message directed. Opposite the vaccination center there's a waiting area with a blue wall. My name was called about 7 minutes later. I sat in a backless chair in the vaccination room when being given my booster shot. I really do not like getting shots and this one had quite a stinging sensation that continued more than an hour after getting poked by the needle! I had to wait 15 minutes at the store in case of side effects from the shot. Plus I had to pick up my transferred prescription as the CVS nearest my home is closing permanently! The transfer & pick up of it occurred without any problems. All the pharmacy employees and those on the sales floor and at the checkout area were efficient and friendly and helpful. This included the assistance at the self checkout station when my extra care rewards seemed to be in error on the Lindt dark chocolate bar I purchased to help me forget that my upper arm was sore and still stinging. There's a few final things to mention about this CVS. It has plenty of parking. And despite looking a little dated from the outside on the inside it's been remodeled. Haven't been to this CVS in quite a while and they have since renovated it. I don't use their pharmacy as there is one closer to my neighborhood but I was in the area and decided to browse. The store is fairly large and is well-stocked. The cosmetic beauty section was big and the young woman working in that section asked customers if she could help them find anything. She was very pleasant. The seasonal aisle was extensive with all kinds of Easter candy and other basket fun items. They even have a rack of ladies' tops and pants. The store was clean and there is plenty of parking. I will probably go back occasionally and check out the merchandise to see what I just can't live without. read more

Their selection and layout is much the same as any other CVS; however, their staff don't seem to have a very good sense of what they stock. I was in a hurry, so I asked the checker for the location of a particular size and medication; she sent me to aisle 14, near the pharmacy. No success. So I asked the pharmacist, who told me I would find it only at the front counter. When I got back up front, frustrated and clearly antsy, the checker was inordinately slow about strolling back and forth perusing their stock. I eventually had to buy a much larger size of an alternative, simply to get out of there. Still, it's clean, well-lit, and functional. read more

As far as the store part goes, it seems fine. Larger than a typical CVS store. The pharmacy, however, leaves to be desired. The pharmacy messed up a prescription of mine recently, putting the wrong doctor's name on my prescription. If I had not noticed the mistake and called to correct the information, this could have come back to bite the doctors involved because the wrong doctor's name was on the label. read more

The pharmacy is such a disarray. My Husband's Dr sends over a prescription a week before my husband starts taking it, to give the pharmacy time to order it. We go 4 days later in the afternoon to pick it up, and the pharmacy hasn't even ordered the medication! They tell us they are out. But then we go back early next morning and miraculously, half of the prescription is there, even when his order hasn't arrived yet. Then we call to see if they have flu shots, and we are told to come on over, anytime! I go there in 15 minutes and they are out. The next morning I show up and they have them in stock..since the day before. Best luck? Mornings. Can't be there early? Good luck! Update: according to a staff member, they had the flu shots the afternoon I went to get them, but no one wanted to deal with them, so they told me they were out. I did get it in the morning, it took little time, and the best part is that it was completely painless! So I'll raise it to 2 stars. Just don't lie to customers. read more

I couldn't believed how rude the young female pharmacist was. I wasn't aware of how complicated things can get when you have to get controlled medications. She was yelling at me for not knowing what to do and was not helping me even when I was going to breakdown. Just had great experience here. All employees were friendly and professional and multiple staff members asked if I needed any assistance finding anything. My cashier was extremely patient and helpful in figuring out my extracare coupons. I'll definitely be back to this location when shopping at CVS. read more

But I must say I have been shopping here for over 15 years (maybe not 15 yrs, it used to be another business "Peoples drug store") I have realized that their customer service seems to have picked up a notch! The Minute Clinic here is AWFUL! Natalie is unprofessional, does not honor appointments and is RUDE to sick people who come in there for help. Seriously - she should not be practicing in the medical field. I am in the process of escalating her behavior to the Minute Clinic executives. I've seen several reviews that speak of poor service or of a poor facility. They are mostly older reviews that are a few years old. The recent reviews are good. I've been coming here since August 2017 and it's been fine. No problems or issues. All of the staff has been nice and helpful. The store as well as the pharmacy. Ive been going here for over a year. I get the same 2 prescriptions every month. Every month they don´t have it in stock, forget to notify my when its ready or say it´ll be ready in an hour and as soon as I get home I get a message they are out of stock. Or they message me its out of stock and its suddenly ready for pick up a few hours later...Every month my prescription gets delayed by several days.HOT MESS. There is always a long line. There is no self check out like other stores around the area. They are always short stuffed and it takes forever before check out. It is a big stores with plenty of parking however I don't like to go there because of the long line. I don't understand why management doesn't do anything to resolve the issue!!! read more
