When we ducked in to get a soda, a family member of the owner was at a table by the door eating some exotic-looking Ethiopian food and offered us a taste! We politely declined, but a Frozen Tropics commenter was apparently told that the owners plan in the long-run to open an Ethiopian restaurant upstairs, which would be a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. For now, ANM offers great special for breakfast (toast or pastry and coffee for under $2) and lunch (sandwich, chips, and soda for under $6) and is open till 3 AM on weekends!

Every time we have visited and there was a security guard, we were greeted in a very friendly manner. I mostly visit this Wawa for the Diet Raspberry and Diet Peach Iced Teas. I cannot find those particular diet flavors in FL so I stock up when I visit DC. We have purchased Lottery tickets when the machine was on or working, which is rare. I have never ordered made to order food here because I usually eat meals at the hotel or other restaurants in the area. I think my husband has purchased food here in between jobs and did not experience any issues. The staff seem okay here. I do not recall interacting much with the staff and I have usually paid for items with the self check out. There is a great selection of drinks and snacks considering how small the store is. The place is relatively clean considering the area outside.

Since I've been going here several times a week for 9 months now, the owners all know me and welcome me when I enter. I also appreciate how when you put your basket on the cashier's ledge they will start to read out the prices to the cashier and bag the items while you wait. Its places like these that really make me feel like I'm part of a neighborhood which is very cool. Like most corner markets the prices here are higher but you can't beat the convenience or the service at the big chains.
