This place used to be wonderful...one of my favorite restaurants in NE Georgia, but it has changed owners twice since then and just isn't the same anymore. Stopped by here for a late lunch in early April '15 after hiking at Tallulah Gorge State Park. Small little unpretentious building on the outskirts of town. Friendly staff, the locals all seem to know each other. I had the Dirty Burger with with chili on it - excellent! Grilled cheese was excellent as well. Excellent prices. Lunch was about $12 for two. Great local place. We eat here frequently. Staff is so nice and food is great. I enjoy the bbq pork and my husband likes the bacon cheeseburgers. The fries are fresh cut and we also like their Brunswick stew. Very clean place, too. read more

I LOVE a small place that put's out an awesome home cooked hamburger and french fries that I didn't have to make myself!! Places like this are hard to find these day's, with the assembly line of fast food joints being so rampent on every corner. With owners like Ellen and Alan, I appreciate the burgers they prepare. Their homecooked deserts are excellent.. Thanks Ellen & Alan, please don't go anywhere. I would be lost without you both when I'm dying for a great burger that taste like home. Prices are reasonable. Best hotdog I've had next to the Varsity. The onion rings are delish. I had the dirty dog. It has mustard and Ketchup, chilli, slaw. Yum yum. The slaw is really good too. They have other things such as burgers and fries. Very reasonable. Fast service. read more

I want to not only leave my review for an awesome new business but also for the owners Matt & Aaron. We go there several times every week and love their food and hospitality! I have seen the one family leaving reviews everywhere that got upset because they ran out of food last week and had to even close early and all I can say is this family should be ashamed for trying to destroy a new business over LIES! Both Matt and Aaron are two of the nicest people we have met and I am in no way related to them! I have mixed race grandchildren as well as friends of all colors and races and I have NEVER experienced any type of racism EVER from either of them and in fact I have the exact opposite view of them and it's far from racists!!! I think it's totally shameful and disgusting for a person so full of hate to pull in racism without ANY merit and try to destroy these people just because you had a bad experience of getting food that day!! SHAME ON YOU! We had to also eat elsewhere because they misjudged the food and ran out...but they are NEW so we just went on to Arbys and ate. For you to go to every board spreading your filth is a prime reason so much racism exists today....it comes in ALL colors and just because you are married to a person of color doesn't give you the right to take your sensitivity out on innocent people by calling them racists! You could of called them out for poor planning on not having enough food to cover the extra crowds that day but to bring this racist accusation into it is libel and they are NOT deserving of it nor are they in any way racists!! So sad that people feel the need to always fall back on crying race to express anger! They have NEVER turned people of color away nor treated them any different than anyone else and I know this for a FACT! SHAMEFUL! The original owners have retired. But the food and the service is still excellent. Everyone is very helpful and polite. I was asked three times if I needed anything else. Not fancy but new remodel looks good and clean. I miss Ellen and Allen though. read more

Eat here most Friday's . Have the best fish sandwich in the county. Home made fries, I believe everything is made in house. Being from Atlanta I'm used to the Varsity hot dogs, these are just as good. Great menu lots of food for the price, employees are great. I'll be there Friday read more

I have been to this place many times and was here the night this couple came in. They were not denied service the place was so busy that day they ran out of food. This couple was offered bbq but refused. I know members of this family and they have biracial children in the family. The remark about the KKK is ignorance in itself. Not gonna find a better burger and better fries anywhere for the price. It is worth the drive from miles around to hit this friendly little dive. Excellent fries. Better than 5 guys.
