If you like Rib Country then you'll love this place. It's smaller and cheaper but the tastes are bigger and better. The best BBQ sauce so far!!!! The appetizers are so good!!! We got the mozzarella sticks and the fried pickles. They were both amazing. We got the meat sampler and all the meats were perfect. My fav was the pulled pork and chicken. My husband's was the pulled pork and wings. The coleslaw and Mac and cheese were perfect. We got a bowl of Brunswick stew that everyone liked. It was lighter than most stews but so good. My girls didn't like their chicken in their kids meals but loved their French fries and fried okra. One of my daughters got a BBQ bacon cheeseburger and was in heaven the entire time. It had bacon to spare on it. We will definitely be back and next time hope to try some of their yummy looking desserts. This is a must stop! read more

So, my kids and I went to Mickey Piggs for dinner and usually the BBQ is fantastic! Tonight it was not great. They messed up our order 3 times, I think, I stopped counting. Our waitress was so sweet though and I felt so bad for her!! I think she was new. I'm not sure if it was a kitchen issue or a waitress issue but either way, it was not good. And to top it off, the food was just meh! I used to love this place and now I don't think I'll go back. I don't know what happened once the place was sold but they need to get it together. We stopped on our way to a hike and we're a little disappointed they were out of a few things for the sampler plate, oh well, and I couldn't have the fries pickles (or anything fried) as the one thing I'm allergic to was in the pickle coating, which means it's in the frier, so, no fried anything for me. I had the BBQ pork platter and everything tasted fine but the amount of pork on the sandwich was a little skimpy. When I go to most BBQ places and order a pulled pork sandwich, the pork is spilling out of the bun. This one I had to peak under the bun to see if there was pork in there. This place was not even a one star. I ordered the Chopped Pork Platter with Sides. Both sides were tasteless. Seemed Store bought. Not homemade Potato Salad. The Coleslaw no taste. But the worst was the pulled Chopped Pork. Didn't taste smoked, no spices and no flavor. Only one BBQ sauce to choose from and it was watered down. BBQ has always been a subject that stirs controversy so it makes no sense in making any claims because someone will always top you on any given day. Mickey does a nice job - in my opinion the meats were well prepared and throughly smoked and for me those are the first qualities I look for, my second criteria is that they don't smother the meats with their sauce (unfortunately Mickey does top their meats with their sauce). I requested the sauce on the side being I hadn't tried their sauces before and didn't want to ruin thirty dollars worth of meat in the event I didn't like their sauce, unfortunately everything we ordered came painted with sauce ( I didn't mention the mistake since I didn't want to spend anymore time here than I had already spent). I tried the chicken, baby back ribs and brisket - the chicken was fully smoked and retained its moisture which was impressive, the ribs throughly smoked but a little tough and on the dry side tasty but not as tender as I would of expected, I really liked the brisket after wiping the sauce off - it was moist with a great fat to lean ratio and tender perfectly sliced a real winner between two buns. I also tried the finely shredded slaw (it's legit), but I wasn't a fan of the thick cut steak fries, they came out cold - just a little too much potato for me. There were two sauces on the table one original and one hot - honestly I'm not a fan of the sauces, but I'm not ready a fan of any sauce and I feel offended when a business assumes everyone will love their sauces. I'm much more about the seasoning and the smokey flavors and really felt cheated out of the opportunity to judge the meats on their on merit without the sauce. The service was exceptional as was the iced tea - I would try them again without the sauce and fries... it was okay but fell short of a home run. read more

My mom and I came up to Jaemor Farms and wanted to grab a bite at a local place so we did some searching on Yelp and found this bbq place only about 5 miles away. Perfect. Walking in, I was excited. The place is a cute bbq joint, just what you'd expect in a non-chain, country-ish location. The display of pies and cakes up front showed even more promise. We were greeted and seated quickly. The waitress was very personable and gave a huge thumbs up on everything we asked about. She was a great salesperson; we didn't know what to choose. They have a huge selection--hot dogs and hamburgers and every type of bbq you can imagine. We ended up getting Brunswick stew to start and both opted for combo plarea so we could try multiple things. I got sausage and pulled pork with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. My mom got pork, chicken and riblets with baked beans and slaw. We both got smoked wings and pieces of Oreo cheesecake to go for football Sunday. The stew, mashed potatoes and cheesecake were good. Not mind blowing but good. 3.5 stars. Other than the sausage, all of the meat was dry. Like really dry. The cole slaw and beans were meh. Even the wings we ate the next day were dry. Funny note on that: we got the wings in a variety of flavors and one of mine was ranch. As in ranch seasoning--at least that's what I expected based on any other wing place I've gotten ranch wings at--but these were plain wings rolled in ranch dressing (!). Whaaaat?? I wanted to love it. Wanted it to be my go-to for future trips to Jaemor, but overall I was disappointed. Non-exciting sides are forgiveable but a bbq place should excel at bbq--it should be juicy and cooked to perfection, something I couldn't pull off at home. Driest BBQ meat ever. I ordered the sliced pork loin plate and my teeth are still hurting from all the chewing I had to do. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and it was equally dry. It had the consistency of boiled leftover meat. Truly disappointing. The sides were fairly good. French fries and okra were crisp and well seasoned. My steamed veggies and cole slaw were well seasoned too. There's a sign on the door stating there's a 3.99% service fee for credit cards. Psychology-wise, it makes more sense to just raise prices up a little bit and then offer a discount for cash pay customers. (Just my opinion.) I didn't even want to stay for dessert. Maybe I didn't order the right things but restaurants shouldn't put subpar items in their menu. Please don't serve dry meat again. read more

This place is okay. The BBQ was not very flavorful and the sauces do not add much flavor. The sauces are vinegar based so if you like those maybe you'll like these ones. The inside is very dark and dated I would t mind it as much if it had a retro vibe but in this case it feels old and dirty. The condiments on the table were dirty, the salt shaker empty and we tried to use it to get some flavor to the food. The pepper was almost empty and we say others go to different tables trying to find more sauce since I guess their tables were out. I hear the desserts are good and we didn't try them, but maybe that's the home run. read more

Mickey Pigs is a fun little joint. If you know what to get here, you can probably think about this place as 4 or 5 stars. Sadly, as it's a BBQ place and therefore I have to rate it as such, I have to land on a 3 star. And quite actually, the BBQ is barely that. We sampled a huge amount of the menu, sausage, ribs, smoked chicken, pulled pork, wings, French fries, Brunswick stew, and slaw and topped it off with the brownie sundae. If we would have had our meal consisting of the wings, fries, slaw, and stew I would easily be on a 4 to 5 star. All fantastic, the wings were fresh, smoked and then flash fried, stew although had a heavy tomato base was full of flavor. Fries hot and crisp, large cut, slaw is the minced and mayo base but very good. All these items were a 4 to 5 stars. Sadly, and again the rest of it being BBQ fell WAY short. the ribs were tough, lacked flavor, 2.5 stars. Pulled pork was 2.5 stars, dry and lacking flavor, and chicken was dry as well - 3 stars. Dry, Dry, dry! why oh why? The sauces way overpower the meat. I normally like the spicey sauces but it was just way too much pepper and bite on the bland meat, it just covered it up. The sundae dessert was an average dessert where the brownie was also dry. I don't know what's up with this place, but they seem to suffer from dry syndrome. Would I come back? Yes, for the smoked wings, fries and slaw. Matter of fact, I would, if it was on my way, just come in for wings and take them home for the game. read more

This place is on the highway going to/from N or NE Georgia. Its on the east side of the road. The staff here is as nice as can be. They are constantly filling the water or tea glasses. It's kind of a funky fun rural place. The food is good, but what I had was nothing to rave about, just average. The potato salad and cole slaw were ok but I suspect served out of a big and bought store made container. The sandwich ok but the sauces with their name on them were nowhere good as some grocery store brands. They have a big dessert display but I didn't partake in that. They also have a drive up window. That's nice for those on the move! There isn't a lot around here so its definitely fun and friendly and the food is ok. Just nothing to get too excited about. read more

I have family in Georgia so every trip we take, one trip would would have to be Mickey Pigg's. One thing I love is the BBQ sauce and always put it on my plate of cut pork. I always make sure to grab extra bottles for when I leave Georgia. We always make sure to get some extra pork when we leave the restaurant as we want to make sure it stays memorable. I took my neice for a great dinner out and also raved about Mickey Piggs from before The CovI'd pandemic. As far as the meal the website advertised seafood and a salad bar. Server said they never had neither one just a side salad. we both had the pulled pork and. I had additional ribs as a add on. the pulled pork was very dry so we had to soak it in bbq sauce. The ribs were so dry and no meat on them at all. Best thing about the meal was the fried okra. I was embarrassed and very disappointed in the meal and the service was not quite up to standaEd's. We kept having to look for our server just to remind him about to go plates! The whole ordeal was terrible! this place has gone downhill in the last year. AND the bbq sauce tasted like pie vinegar!
