The worst thing is the wait time. We saw other people having to rush their food and run. We had to do the same. If we'd knew that it'll require waiting 1 hour for the order we'd never come there. If the goal was to spend a lot of time on food, I'd be better driving to Seattle and eat in much better place, time spent would be less. Crepes are not bad but are not even comparable to Citizen cafe in downtown Seattle. Definitely the sweet crepes are the ones to avoid unless you are able to eat sugar as it is and enjoy it. Only a 1 star not even deserving this rating. We had a group of 10 and was immediately told that it is their policy not to take a party large of our size. We were willing to break our group to a size of two and the hostess was not even willing to listen or accommodate our request. Rude and felt discriminated. The food was worth 5 stars, but the customer service was barely worth two. If you have three groups of two waiting in line, don't keep them there for 20 minutes because you don't want to sit them at one of your multiple open four-top tables. I'm a big hungry guy, and I'm definitely going to eat and spend more than the four featherweights that are going to only come for mimosas and giggles. Sarcasm aside, if you have a four-top open, and you have a group of two with no one behind them, JUST SEAT THEM. It's rude to keep people waiting when you can easily just accommodate them instead of banking on a larger group that may or may not follow. We've blacklisted restaurants for treating us this way in the past and would have done the same here if the food hadn't been so good. read more

Tried this place with my gf for the first time. It's a lil hidden and fairly small. There was a list to write your name and you had to wait outside. It was on a cold day too! Took about maybe 15 minutes before we got a table. My gf ordered the bacon & waffles and I ordered a savory crepe (which is a first for me). It took a long time before we got our food. My gf stated she liked her dish, but didn't finish it all. (She had her toddlers with her.) My dish was ok. It wasn't mind blowing or anything. The service was nice. Pretty decent. FOOD- I have yet to try a place with better crepes. Their house made Habanero hot sauce is addicting and pairs perfectly with a savory crepe. I highly recommend the hanger crepe with mushrooms. The sweet crepes are ridiculously mouthwatering good. Belgian waffles are average. SERVICE- They do take a while so don't come here if you're in a rush. The trade off for waiting patiently is hand made crepes and fresh ingredients. LOCATION- Plenty of parking out front. Interior is dumpy, if the interior was a bit nicer I would give it 5 stars. My first time here and I was very impressed! Quickly greeted and seated with my toddler. The gal working brought him over a book to look at and talked to him. Hmmmm. Very cute but tight dining space (not good for those with mobility issues) with front and back patios, friendly waitstaff, yummy crepes, pretty good coffee... but there were a couple misses for us. One was that we waited for a looooooong time to get our food on a busy Sunday mid-morning. Another was that we sat outside on the back patio when it was pretty chilly outside, and one of the heaters wasn't working, so it was uncomfortably cold - even when we ended up moving next to the working heater. We've been here twice now, and although we would probably come back if we're in the area, I'd make sure that we waited for an inside table unless the weather was warm. read more

Food is reliably good if limited in its approach. It's crepes (sweet & savory), salads, sandwiches & a few waffles - pretty good for sure but that's pretty much it. We used to go often and I'd forgotten why we stopped. But today's visit, at the request of a visiting friend, reminded me. The service is snobby, unintelligent, unwelcoming, and passive-aggressive. We were a party of 8 - which is far too big for them because 4 different servers told us numerous times. Okay - we get it - you're a small restaurant. But they weren't busy and they had plenty of open tables which means they had the ability to prepare food for 6 or 8. And they admitted as much. But they wouldn't seat us at a single table they said so they put us at 2 tables next to each other that were so close at to be essentially pushed together in practice. Then they told us again another 3 times they only seat parties up to 6. Well, we said treat us like a party of 6 and then another party of 2 - which made sense since 2 of us had yet to arrive and we said we're okay if the food comes in phases. They never thought of suggesting something like that or even kindly explaining the situation. In any case, we did order in two phases which was fine. We enjoyed the food. As they started closing, instead of kindly saying "Excuse us but we'll be locking up up shortly" (or something better), they just turned the music up so loud we had to leave. read more

Super cute spot. Good service and the staff is super friendly. Only thing is we asked if we could have an egg scrambled for our lil dude and the response was "we don't do sides of eggs". I still love this place. I have been coming here for five years now and it's just as good as ever. I love the Market Crepe. I love the creme fraiche and the poblano sauce. My daughter always get the raspberry waffles. I've had the pumpkin waffles recently and they are delicious! The staff, especially Sarah, and the morning servers, are wonderful and kind. Most of them have even memorized my breakfast burrito preferences. Justin, the owner, knows that the Wonder Woman mug is all mine! Lovely little place with an added back patio. The two times we've been here for breakfast has been pleasant: food was pretty good, service was pleasant, and there was no wait to be seated (we arrived before 10am on Sunday). However, the wait for our food to arrive each time was over 30 mins even though the restaurant didn't seem overly busy. Normally, thats not a huge deal but when you have a toddler, every second counts. The Triple B waffle was very good as is the Roast beef crepe. I didn't care much for the Turkey Pesto crepe, however. They were out of 2 of their 3 specials when we went only 2 hours after they opened. Either those were very popular or it was bad planning. read more

Everything always tastes so great but the downside is that they can get pretty busy so you'll have to wait for your food a little longer than you might think. It's also pretty small so you might want to call ahead and ask them if it's busy so you aren't waiting there for too long. I just moved to west Seattle and was looking for a place to have breakfast. I stopped into the hangar cafe and was blown away by the crepes. I ordered the turkey pesto crepe and have never tasted something so delicious in all of my life. My friend ordered the savory special crepe of the day which was equally as delicious. The servings were extremely generous. You could tell the chef took pride in the quality of ingredients, presentation and overall taste of everything. The waitresses were extremely nice. The restaurant felt cozy and inviting. A definite must try and a new favorite restaurant I will be frequenting. read more

The food is always made fresh to order, the coffee (espresso) is fantastic and I believe they even serve mimosas! They've got some really awesome help, the service is amazing; they make you feel very well taken care of. I really can't say enough good things. It's a very small spot, which can seem like a negative but it's actually quite the opposite. I feel like if they were any bigger they would lose something about how amazing they are. I love the crepes here but when you come for brunch on a weekend and it's cold out, be prepared. You have to wait outside, there are no heaters but there are tables and umbrellas to shield from the rain. It would be nice if they offered coffee or hot cocoa for the kids, while you sit in the cold for 20+ minutes waiting for an inside table. read more

The kitchen is SLOW so do NOT come here while you are hungry- we waited 40 minutes for two waffles to arrive! We came by around 1pm and while most (not all) of the tables inside were occupied, they were by no means within breakfast prime time, though the waitress claimed that the kitchen being "slammed" was the reason for our lengthy wait. For me, a long wait is forgivable if the food is worth it but in this case the food was, in a word, meh. The waffles were on the chewy side and lacked a discernible flavor, the bacon was of decent quality but was served room temperature and undercooked, and the mimosas, while of a generous portion tasted like they were made with a juice concentrate. The service didn't help either- our waitress was friendly but was also forgetful and inattentive. I am at a loss for how this place has such a high rating. read more

Tiny joint in an old house in Georgetown. Seriously.... tiny. Like maybe enough seats for 15-20 people? Although, I prefer smaller joints like this anyways. We showed up around 10 am on a Saturday and were able to grab a table no problem, which is rare in Seattle. I think this is more of a local's hang out. My boyfriend had the Hangar Crepe, and I ordered the triple B(Bacon, Brie, Basil) waffle and a couple of coffees. When our waitress brought out our food, she also brought out a jam crepe they had made accidentally and asked us if we wanted it. Considering I spent 10 minutes trying to decide between the Triple B waffle and the Jam crepe, I said yes. We all enjoyed our food immensely. My boyfriend loved the Jam crepe. Jam crepes are my favorite, so simple, and yet so delicious. Just raspberry jam and powdered sugar. I really liked the Triple B waffle too. SO MUCH FOOD though. While this joint is out of the way for us, I am glad I finally checked it out. I had it bookmarked for years. Skip the coffee though, maybe the espresso drinks are better, but I wasn't impressed with the drip coffee. read more

We came here for a late breakfast on a lovely Saturday afternoon. It's just a few blocks from the house we're currently drooling over, so we decided to check it out. Of course, I was instantly charmed by the "people love us on YELP" sticker so prominently displayed in the front window. We were greeted upon arrival by a warm and small interior, with some really cool art on the walls and old church pews for seating. The decor is eclectic, as was the clientele, a mom and her son, a yoga-enthusiast couple, etc... The menu is very small but there were quite a few tempting options, though we both ended up with "The Hangar", which was a crepe with eggs, ham, cheese, spinach, onions and tomatoes topped with a poblano chili sauce and creme fraiche. It was quite tasty, as was the OJ. The service was also very warm and friendly, just like the atmosphere. It just seemed like the kind of place I would come to get breakfast on my days off. Been craving black bean burritos lately. Luckily we found their spring menu on-line and saw the chipotle black bean burritos. They roll their burritos with sweet potatoes. And yams. Going there was a no-brainer. Still, I was torn between the burritos and a "proper" breakfast. So, like a fool who ignores their cravings, I ordered the seasonal waffle special. My hubby, who is a wise, forward-thinking individual, thoughtfully ordered the burrito. Of course, I kinda savagely attacked his poor burrito without so much of a warning when it hit the table. Maybe it was the garlic or the herbs that made me do it. Or it was the roasted red bell peppers. Or the pepper jack cheese. The Field Roast chipotle sausage didn't hurt either. I'm listening now. 2) outdoor seating-even under the low-flying planes-in the summer is divine. 3) Sassy staff... and by that I mean hot and flirty and well, just my type. 4) They will make my crepe without any troubling vegetables or such if I request. 5) the sweet crepes are.... well, I can't make that sound through typing but you can imagine 6) super kid friendly with toys and stuff as well as a beautiful little yard to look at the garden grown ingredients 7) good coffee that keeps coming. The only complaint is that it can take a REALLY long time to eat here depending on how busy they are and the service can get a little spaced out for that reason. I read the reviews, checked out their website than dragged gay boyfriend #1 (GBF#1) with me to check it out for Sunday brunch. It's a cute little cottage sitting at the north end of Boeing field. It's cozy inside with just a few tables, but it works. I went for the Hangar Crepe which had eggs, ham, swiss, cheddar, thinly sliced red onions, roma tomatoes and baby spinach topped with a roasted poblano and basil vinaigrette & creme fraiche and boy was it fresh and delicious tasting. I took a bite and couldn't not get the second bite in my piehole fast enough! GBF#1 went for the crepe of the day or what ever it was called, I'm not sure what all was in it but I know there as asparagus and he loved his as much as I loved mine. Since it was breakfast and we needed a little sweet to go with our savory we shared a chocolate crepe for dessert and yum yum yum it was very awesome. The kids at the table next to us ordered the waffles they looked amazing next time if I want something sweet I might just have to order them instead of the wonderful delicious savory crepe I had. I found the Hangar Cafe while looking for a non-Denny's breakfast spot to take my non-foodie family. I was hoping they'd be willing to try breakfast crepes and thought the quirky aviation-themed interior would be fun. Success! The small building looks like a cute house, with a few tables out on the front patio. Inside, there are a handful of small wooden tables that seat a maximum of four. The space between tables is tight, and I really wouldn't try to come here with a group of more than four. Our server offered us drinks right away, and I'm sad I didn't get the mimosa ($6), which apparently is served in a pint glass! Part of the charm of the place is the mismatched plates and cups, but unfortunately we got these terrible, tiny IKEA mugs with a handle that you can barely fit one finger into (but at least refills are free). Too small for my giant monster hands. We had the Hangar Crepe (egg, black forest ham, swiss, cheddar, slivered red onion, roma tomatoes, and baby spinach, topped with house-made poblano basil vinaigrette and crème fraiche, $10.50), the Market Crepe (apple smoked bacon, mozzarella, caramelized onions, tomato, spinach, topped with poblano and crème fraiche, $10.50), and the banana walnut waffle ($8.25). The portions were pretty generous and filling, although I had some plain crepe left over at the end, which wasn't quite tasty enough to eat on its own. The banana walnut waffle was quite big and very sweet. The interior was cute, with lots of interesting stuff to look at, and they had a rack of newspapers to read while you waited for your food. I liked the mugs and T-shirts they had for sale with their logo, and I'm not usually a logo-T-shirt kind of person! Service was friendly, maybe not the fastest, but we weren't in a big hurry and didn't mind sitting and talking. A fun place to start off a day of Georgetown exploration, especially if the weather is nice enough to sit outside. And it did not disappoint, I wanted to order home fries but Im glad I didnt because the French toast was more than filling. The inside sure does fill up fast. Over the past few years i have been having breakfast here. When i first began eating here food and service was GREAT. It would defiantly be a 5 star. HOWEVER, over the course of this past year I've been about 5 or so times and the service and food and gone well down hill. This past time however is was the last straw. Im not going back, i regret telling everyone how great it was as now its nowhere as good as it was. i don't know her name but she is Blond and moves rather slowly. She speaks very slowly and she doesn't present herself well. i hate to say it but looks like she just roll out of bed. that aside out entire party had a stomach ache later that day. My HOT chocolate as COLD, and it lacked ANY flavor. she didn't ask what size drink i wanted, instead brought out a child size cup. Usually specials are given but that didn't happen either. I'll start this review off by letting you know I still dream about the flavorful Belgian Waffle with brie, basil, and bacon. What a genius brunch menu item, right? I was with a few of my cousins when we discovered this brunch spot. It was cousin Rachel's wedding day so we knew we needed to begin the occasion with mimosas and a taste of the Seattle local flavor. We, sat, we ordered, and we laughed over coffee while sitting on the lovely patio. Then, about 45 minutes later we pondered the whereabouts of our food. The laughing began to decline as we realized our extreme hunger and how we found ourselves in a bit of a rush. We asked with a smile if they knew when our food was going to come out and got an abrupt "I don't know" answer. When we tried to explain we had to make our way to a wedding soon, the waitress gave an "I don't care" shrug and that was that. About 20 minutes later our food did arrive. Everyone was pleases with their tasty food, but I wouldn't recommend the mimosas (a bit overpriced for champagne to juice ratio.) I'm not hungup on this cafe, if I were asked if I wanted to try it out again I'd give it a shot! read more
