This cozy cafe serves good coffee and matcha, pastries and breakfast items. I tried the matcha latte with pistachio syrup - it's subtle and nutty, but the matcha isn't very strong. The barista is friendly, and the inside is comfortable for working or hanging out. It's also dog-friendly.

Lovely lovely neighborhood café in West Seattle. Very cozy café, where we saw a lot of people working with their laptops. Quaint and feels like you're in someone's living room. The baristas are friendly and our regular and strawberry matcha were a solid 8.5/10.

Delicious, cozy, and very atmospheric. The café has a pleasant vibe, and the air conditioning makes it very comfortable. It's a great place to work, relax, or simply spend some peaceful time with yourself while enjoying a coffee.

Super cute cafe located right off of Delridge Way. Street parking only, but there's usually a spot around the area. The interior was nicely decorated, a clean aesthetic that can be enjoyed with the company of your friends or a place to get your work done. I came in to order a matcha since I saw that was the most popular drink according to the amount of pictures I saw. The staff working was very friendly and helpful, asking what type of matchas I liked and how I want it sweetened. You have options like agave or fruit syrups that can be used. It's not often I see places offer fruit syrups, so I ended up with agave + mango syrup. Unfortunately, I thought the mango syrup was too strong and overpowered the matcha. But staff was super friendly and checked on me about the drink, so they gave me an extra small cup of milk to dilute the strong syrup taste. I'm usually particular with my matcha drinks, but the curiosity got to the best of me. While I may have not enjoyed my drink as much as I hoped for, the fact that this place goes out of their way to correct the drink makes me want to go back again. Which of course I'm going to have to do it justice and try their matcha a second time. I feel sad for giving them a mediocre amount of stars, but I will return soon and cross my fingers that I'll enjoy my next drink!

Cutest and coziest place ever! I needed to find a coffee place so I can do some work and randomly found this place and it's now my new go-to. Parking: plenty of street parking and it was easy to park close Wifi/outlet: there's plenty of outfits throughout the shop and the WiFi is super fast which is a huge plus Drink: I got the matcha latte and it was decent. I wish the matcha was stronger, but I want to come back to try their coffee since it looked good as well

Really wonderful spot about to celebrate its one-year anniversary. I went on a weekend afternoon and the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, made our drinks with care, and walked them to our seats. The space is cozy and airy and full of light with big windows. The matcha lattes were well-frothed and tasty. We also felt extremely welcome as LGBTQ+ folks. (My friend and I are trans and non-binary.) Will be my new go-to in West Seattle.

A very welcoming space, open and airy, creatively decorated. They offer pastries, pre-made sandwiches, and of course, hot and cold beverages. The owner can be found onsite, very friendly and helping. The pre-made items are from Macrina Bakery, I believe. Everything was delicious. The drinks with chocolate (a mocha, hot chocolate) were especially good - the chocolate really stands out more than in most places. Sound does carry a bit which might be the only disadvantage if you are there for chatting on topics far and wide. Easily located with easy and free parking in the nearby area.

Great way to spend a morning in west Seattle! they have the cutest interior to hang out or work/study. There are a fair number of outlets too, so you don't have to go scrounging. Service was very friendly 10/10 no notes. The cappuccino was very well made. They use boon boona beans so we already know the quality is great. I will definitely be back to try the baked goods and maybe a fun latte. Perfect sunday formula: hogosa's for a latte, then west seattle farmers market, then vintage/antique shopping.

Hagosa's House is such a cozy cafe for a meetup with friends or just to grab a coffee if you're in the area. My friend and I both got the pecan latte (a fall drink special) and just melted at how delicious it was upon taking the first sip. I'm already hoping to return soon to catch the other specialty drinks!

Hagosa's House caught my attention after reading a West Seattle blog earlier. I spent the day over in Vashon Island and wanted to check out Hagosa's House in Seattle's Delridge/Cottage Grove neighborhood before heading back north to Shoreline (3/9/25). It is located where the former Pearls Tea & Coffee was. Perfect choice during International Women's Month and of course, supporting another local, indie business. Nice bright cafe featuring Boon Boona Coffee (Renton, Central District, and University District). There are other snacks and refrigerated items available. Since I was visiting late in the afternoon, the pastry case was pretty much cleaned out. Welcoming and family friendly vibe. An aside, a very clean bathroom - which was much welcomed after my day trip driving off the Vashon-Fauntleroy ferry! The 12oz mocha I had at Hagosa's House was well crafted and spot on. Recommended if you're in the vicinity.

What a lovely little community coffee shop. They are located where the Pearls cafe use to be. It's a nice homey feel with very sweet and attentive staff. They offer products from Boona Boona coffee, Harried and Hungry and Macrina bakery items. I got an iced cafe mocha with an extra shot for my boyfriend and I got the iced cafe latte with vanilla and English toffee syrup. My boyfriend was disappointed in his drink because the ice had quickly melted, causing the drink to be watered down and couldn't taste the coffee. I however was happy with mine, it tasted delicious, not watered down from the ice and was made how I ordered it. Other than that, I'd still come back and ask for extra chocolate sauce and light ice for my boyfriend's drink.

This is a cute Ethiopian coffee shop. The ambiance is very nice and they had someone making traditional Ethiopian coffee that was fun to learn about. I think you can do a tasting and learn all about it if you have the time. The latte was great and they had a good amount of rotating pastries. Some people were there working too and everyone there was so sweet.

While I did enjoy Pearls, Hargosa's House is a welcome successor. The inside is calming, clean, and welcoming. If you're lucky you may be there when a coffee ceremony is taking place, a demitasse of traditionally made magic placed in your hands while you wait. Their other coffee offerings are very well made. The espresso is smooth, the milk properly steamed and velvety. They don't charge extra for plant milks and they are even able to foam oat and soy well. They also offer a variety of food and treats to accompany your drink. Some of their pastry is from Macrina; I think we can all attest that it's hard to go wrong with Macrina. They have sandwiches that can be done hot or cold, candy, sodas, and more. Everyone who works here is friendly and kind. The last time I visited I asked for a vanilla mocha but the barista didn't hear the mocha part. When I went up to ask about how there wasn't any chocolate in my drink she said she only heard the request for vanilla, and would remake the drink for me. I waved the offer off, since that is a miscommunication and I would be perfectly fine drinking a vanilla latte. But she insisted, and brought a wonderful mocha to my table only moments later. Thank you Hargosa's House! You make our community more vibrant and provide a third place we desperately need. I look forward to supporting this shop for a long time to come.

While the market has decided that a Goblin will pay at least $8 for a coffee now, I'll fight back my Goblin tears and say "WORTH IT, WORTH IT, YOU ARE WORTH IT!". Per the cashier, unlike previous years, where they often sold Paczki for several weeks leading up to the celebration, this year, they will only have them on Tuesday. Apparently every single one is handmade by the owner, Pâtissier William Leaman, and this year, he's been too busy with the 2026 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie competition as the US team's coach. That's certainly a great excuse! When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon a bit after lunch, this place was still quite busy with a line that stretched to the door, but not outside. As with the Burien location, I find the ordering process to be a bit of a pain; while there are plenty of workers to help, ordering is slowed due to the fact that the display cases are placed in a line and there's not much room in the building to maneuver to the desired display. In our case, while we had someone helping us all the way in the back of the line, we weren't able to select anything until we got all the way to the pastry case in the front. I'm not sure there's a good way to solve this conundrum, though. At any rate, we ended up only getting a single pastry (that was new to us) to try this time. Brown Sugar Pecan Brioche ($5) - This pastry looks like a glistening pecan sticky bun at first glance, with a cinnamon roll-like pinwheel structure and a brown sugar glazed pecan topping. Since it's brioche, I expected it to be dense, but soft, rich, and sweet. This bread is anything but. It's dense, dry, crumbly, almost clay-like in mouthfeel; basically everything brioche should not be. Instead of a sticky caramelized coating over the pecans, the pecans are glued on with only the thinnest of sugar coatings. The pastry doesn't claim to be a sticky bun, so it gets a pass there. Unfortunately the base layer is absolutely terrible, by far the worst "brioche" I've eaten in years. It has all the flavor of hard tack with the unpleasant mouthfeel of Play-Doh. Canned Pillsbury cinnamon rolls are far better than this waste of perfectly good ingredients. The owner should be ashamed to release this swill to the public. (1/5) Why am I giving Bakery Nouveau a 5? Because they serve some of the best twice baked croissants known to man. The Capitol Hill location is my go to for a sweet and buttery treat and I still recommend it to everyone that visits me, specifically for the almond and chocolate twice baked croissants. The paczki are no slouches either; probably the best we can get around Seattle. Bathrooms - Single unisex room. Note: There will be some walk in availability for paczki on Tuesday, but the cashier told me that they will likely sell out by 10AM. Looks like an early morning trip to the Capitol Hill location is in my near future.
