For a Sunday night near closing and off-peak season, the wait was longer than I expected, about 45 minutes. If you're able to make reservation in advance, I would do it. We started off with Crispy Brussels as appetizer. The white balsamic vinaigrette was so delicious and the dried cranberries was an unexpected nice touch to the dish. I loved our entrée - Pork Shank! I'm glad I shared it with my sister. The portion was generous. The carrot puree, red rice & lentils complimented the pork so effortlessly. The pork was tendered and flavorful. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the dish. Delicious! Huckleberry is a regional favorite and a thing in Wyoming because they grow wild in the area. I had to try the Huckleberry Cosmo. I have to say - Cranberry has a competition out here! Service was great and attentive. I look forward to coming back the next time I'm in Jackson Hole!

It was as if we were being deserted one by one and trying to find someone to take our next order. I ordered the highly recommended elk bolognese and was immensely underwhelmed. The dish came out slightly warm, not hot. So it must have been sitting out for a while before being served. The elk was the most underwhelming part. The meat tasted like ground beef, but bigger chunks. The pasta was cooked well, but I would not order this dish again. The best part of the meal and experience was the pork baos. Tasty and delicious. Overall, this meal was just average.

We dined here last night and I must say if could give it 6 stars I would. To start the space is gorgeous with high ceilings, brick walls and nice artwork. It's inside a very nice hotel. Next the service was on point. They have a nice wine list. But the food is there with the decor. We have tendency to do Lebanese tapas (a bunch of small dishes). The kibbeh was the best I have had. Small and crunchy perfectly prepared. 3 per order and obviously made to order not sitting there pre cooked. The baba was very good as was the shankleesh which was nicely presented. Grape leaves are usually premade and come out cold not these made to order warm and full of flavor. The pita was not your typical but very very good. All in all just superb food and we did not even get the mains. If you enjoy this kind of food this is as good as it gets trust me.

We had dinner here the last night of our trip and it was the best way to close out our time here in Wyoming. It is easily one of our top 5 meals ever. What we had: -Fleeting Smile Zero Proof drink, delicious, and iced tea with simple syrup to sweeten -Meatballs alla Nonna - the meatballs themselves were fantastic, and the red sauce tasted a lot like MY homemade red sauce! We were very happy with this, to say the least. -Salumi & Formaggi - favorite meat and cheese plate we've ever had. Everything was perfectly selected and paired together on the board. Could not have been more pleased. -Charred broccolini - cooked perfectly to a bright and vibrant color, accompanied by a spicy Calabrian chili aioli. I feel like I always need something green with my dinner and this was an excellent addition to the table. -Rye Cavatelli - great chew on the fresh cavatelli. I watched the PBS spotlight on Glorietta and Wyoming Heritage Grains a few days prior and it made it all the more meaningful to order this dish and taste the hard work and care that goes into the flour and the pasta. And the elk bolognese was wonderful, too, with salty chunks of meat throughout. -Prime NY Strip - if a steak could melt in your mouth. And the additions of the porcini butter and the vincotto pushed it to another level. Spectacular. -Duck breast with creamy polenta, grilled carrots, and balsamic reduction - I have no words. My first bite with a bit of the polenta stopped me dead in my tracks and I had a visceral reaction. A transcendental food moment. It was rich beyond belief; I had no idea duck breast could be like this. Still blown away thinking about it. -Espresso (local coffee!) served with biscotti, and s'mores (graham blondie, smoked ganache, honey meringue), which was absolute bliss and surprisingly not too heavy All in all, a fabulous, romantic, elevated dining experience. Huge thanks to Chef Remle and his whole team. *** One last thing: the service. Food came out in a timely manner and drinks were refilled. But neither of us liked our server. He was simply not engaged with us. We told him it was our 30th wedding anniversary and he offered us free prosecco, but when I said we didn't drink, that was the end of that. We don't expect free things. Really. But it was a bit off-putting that if we said no to free alcohol, specifically, that the offer was entirely retracted. It seemed like he was very distracted by a larger party in his section and was giving them all of his attention, so maybe that is why he seemed disconnected. But he also didn't seem to understand any of my comments or small jokes and we had to repeat ourselves in every interaction. He tried to be "nice" but it came off as disingenuous. It was a relatively small cloud over an otherwise amazing experience. The food was so incredibly good that I won't even let it bring my review down to 4 stars. Still, I had to mention it. If we go back and he is still working there, we will definitely request to be seated with someone else.

During happy hour, all of their drinks are half off as well as their burratas and cheese plates. I got a nice dry rose which was fantastic. For an early evening bite, we got the fried artichokes and the mushroom burrata plate and both were excellent. Overall, this is a cozy spot to bring a friend, a date, or even your parents. The food is fantastic and the drink selection is sure to please everyone. After a few days of "well, that was expensive" meals, this place felt like striking gold. We're not meat eaters, which can sometimes make dining in these areas a bit of a scavenger hunt, but The Blue Lion delivered anyway. The scallops were spot-on, the scampi pasta was bright and balanced, and everything tasted like someone in the kitchen actually cared. And then there's Colin, the manager--who somehow manages to be attentive, engaging, and completely unpretentious all at once. He chatted with us about food like we were old friends, made sure every detail was right, and turned dinner into an experience rather than just a reservation. Our server was equally dialed in, catching nuances in our order that most places would miss. It's the kind of service that feels effortless but clearly isn't. The vibe? Cozy, welcoming, and just the right amount of lively. The kind of place where you linger a little too long and start thinking about what you'd order next time. It arrived at the table, he removed the steak from the extremely hot salt block and each piece he placed back on the salt block before eating. I actually did the same with several pieces of my steak. I was amazed at the additional flavor this salt block added to an already delicious filet! Our shared sides were very good, too. My husband, the cookie lover, ordered the chocolate chip cookie à la mode which is served fresh from the oven in a small cast iron skillet. I had a hard time keeping my spoon out of his delicious dessert - so glad he shares. We were seated quickly and our server was very helpful making recommendations. So yes - we were excited for The White Buffalo Club - because it fits that vibe. Sadly - it was kind of a bad version of what we hoped it could be. Ambiance - it falls into the category I mentioned above - but felt kind of run down. We welcome the old world ski lodge vibes -- but the restaurant here just felt old and tired and run down. It was also really really small - kind of claustrophobic. Food - things really fell off here. Hate to say it but on multiple dishes we were struggling to eat our food and forcing some down in order to not offend the staff. The Caesar salad was wildly fishy (yes - anchovy in a Caesar is totally fair game - but this salad tasted like eating canned fish atop some greens). We tried a cheesecake for dessert which was strangley infused with rosemary and in a pretzel crust. I love rosemary as an herb to cook with - i grow it at home - and so we were open to it totally. But rosemary - especially raw and in a dessert - must be used sparingly. You could see huge chunks of rosemary all throughout the cheesecake and each bit tasted like taking a bite out of a pine tree. Inedible. The pretzel crust was insanely salty too. Wild miss on a dessert. The one saving grace was the ribeye steak. Not that it was world class - but it was definitely a tasty piece of meat that was well cooked. Service - our server (can't remember her name - youngish blonde female) - was lovely! Super bubbly and friendly. She did her best all night - if the rest of the restaurant was on par with her, they'd be in much better shape. I hate to leave a negative review and only choose to do so when it offers info I myself wish was shared with me before making a choice of restaurant.
