The fish tasted fresh, portions were solid for a lunch special ($14 is a steal), and everything came out nicely arranged. Definitely a good value if you're craving sushi midday during the week. Came with miso soup. Service-wise, our waitress/hostess was clearly hardworking and very kind. The only small thing was that she cleared our dishes super quickly. She took away my miso soup before I was fully finished! But she was genuinely nice and attentive otherwise, so it didn't take away from the overall experience. The restaurant itself is pretty nice. Bathroom may need cleaning up a bit, but I mainly care about the food and service. Would come back again for the lunch specials!

Oh well. So although I can't talk about the ambiance, the quality it something I can. We ordered about $250 worth of food for 4 people. Delivery was about ~$20 because of a tip. Here is what we got: 1. Veggie Tempura: good assortment, however very small. 2. Gyoza: due to travel time it may have been less crispy, but it was good flavor. 3. Crispy Rice: the crispy rice was good, but almost stale like, so it was a bit texturally different. Sashimi: 1. King Salmon: it was good but disliked the wasabi on top. 2. Salmon: nice and fresh; I did like it. 3. Hamachi: it was fresh and very light. 4. Tuna: honestly disliked this one the most. It was a bit fish-y. 5. Octopus: I surprisingly liked this! It wasn't as chewy as I thought it would be. Nigiri: 1. Wagyu Nigiri: the meat was a bit too tough, and for almost $17 it was a bit spendy. 2. Salmon: Rice to fish ratio was okay. 3. King Salmon: Loved the flavor with rice better than just sashimi. Rolls: 1. House Roll: I loved the flavor and nice presentation. 2. Yellow Tail jalapeño: The yellowtail was great but the large chunks of Jalapeño was not my favorite. 3. Avocado: Basic, nothing special 4. Tuna Maki: it was good, but again the tuna was not my favorite. Miso soup and salad were all just basic. Overall I would love to try this in person

You order off the menu with an erasable pen which is very smart. Many Japanese restaurants (especially when ordering sashimi, nigiri, rolls) use a ton of paper for their orders. We did have a waitress but the staff helps one another running drinks and food. The food was very good, fresh and I'd definitely go back. My suggestions would be bringing the dishes out over time. We received almost everything at once and the table was very full. The bathrooms are part of Stanley and are fine. They are usually clean. The parking is shared with all the Stanley Marketplace so it depends on time/day as to how easy or hard it is to find a space.

I kept it light and fresh with the house salad, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeños, salmon sashimi, and ebi nigiri. Everything came out super fast and tasted incredibly fresh. The yellowtail had the perfect kick, but the ebi nigiri was the real star for me--so good. Such a cute little spot for a casual date or a food hall crawl. We also grabbed mochi to go and it was the perfect sweet ending. Already planning my next visit because I definitely want to try more of the menu.

Parking was a little hard to find up close as this place is in a shared shopping center. We sat and were asked about our drinks. They serve Pepsi products. They have sake and beer as well. Lunch menu had a combo option or you could choose the AYCE option. Both were running around $25. Out of the 3 of us , was a ramen bowl for about $20, and somebody just wanted to chicken fried rice and I couldn't upgrade my rice on my combo to get that. They paid $18 for just a plate of Chicken fried rice. That was ridiculous. I was not liking that. My combo was $23. The service was great when the server was tending to us. It was just him and he took care the whole place. About 20 of us in the place. Food was so good.

I'm not sure if the restaurant recently went under new ownership, but the quality felt very different from what I'm used to. The food lacked flavor overall. My girlfriend ordered the edamame, and it was completely tasteless, looked old, and didn't even have the proper vibrant green color you'd expect. The service was extremely slow -- we waited over 40 minutes, and when our food finally arrived, the server didn't seem to know what she was serving us, which was frustrating. When the sushi eventually came out, it was just okay at best. I'd rate it around a 6/10, which is disappointing considering how consistent this place used to be. I also noticed the server clearing dirty plates and handling used items with her bare hands, then immediately picking up clean utensils, chopsticks, and drinks without washing or sanitizing her hands. Since we were seated for over 50 minutes waiting for our food, we had plenty of time to observe what was going on around us, and unfortunately we noticed several concerning hygiene and service issues during that time. I hope this was just an off night, because this spot used to be one of my go-to sushi places. By Ambiance was alright over all needed more cleanliness and attention to your tables .

I get that they were busy, but that's still a pretty ridiculous wait, especially when you're just trying to get situated and settle in. The overall vibe of the place is pretty average restaurant energy, nothing bad, just nothing that really stands out. The one thing I did really like was the presentation. They brought the sushi out on a boat, which was super fun and definitely made the meal feel a lot more special. It's a cute touch and probably the highlight of the whole experience. Unfortunately, the sushi itself didn't sit well with me at all. It made my stomach hurt really badly afterward, and it also messed up my mother-in-law's stomach too, which was super disappointing. When food looks great but makes you feel horrible later, it's hard to overlook. That being said, my sister really loves their Yummy Roll, it's her favorite and we haven't been able to find it anywhere else. So even though this visit wasn't great, I'm sure we'll end up coming back at some point just because of that one roll. I just really hope the next experience is better.

The experience truly begins with the reservation, where you are asked a series of questions from your familiarity with sushi, fish preference, appetite level, and so on. This truly is an in-depth questionnaire so that the chef Yasu could source fish from Nagahama fish market for your meal. It's an incredibly personal, curated meal. On the date of, you are led to a private room in the back, Denchu Den, which is a simple, private sushi bar for up to 4 guests. Then, Chef Yasu comes out for a truly intimate experience, one that is extremely rare to come by, even in Japan. It is truly just your party and the chef as he prepares some truly epic bite. And the menu is not set, it really depends on your personal taste, and the food continues basically until you tap out. As such, there is no set price, though typically we run up about $150-200 a person. It's a 2 hour experience during which you get to experience that Japanese hospitality with chef Yasu. We talked with him about his home, learned about his experience in Denver, and he provided some fun facts about sushi and Japanese in culture in general. I cannot praise this truly unique experience enough, and, in fact, we have been back here every single year. The cherry on top is that as you return, Chef Yasu starts to remember your preference and even past conversation. And it does not end there. Based on our conversation where I discussed my next Japan trip, Chef Yasu even took time to send us an email with his recommendations.
