    Various Sushi Rolls

This place was fantastic! We arrived early with friends who had been here many times before...doors open at 4:30PM for dinner. They are also open for lunch from 11AM -2:30PM. Note, hours are different on the weekend. We were told the restaurant gets very busy & sure enough by 5PM the place was packed. Sushi Katsu is in a strip mall with a small parking lot & limited parking. The ambiance was nice with traditional Japanese decor & I liked that the booths were private & tucked away. Our Server was fast & attentive. We all had the All You Can Eat Sushi for $30.95. Make sure what you order you can eat, if you have leftovers you'll be charged. The sushi was wonderful! It was fresh & delicious - a beautiful display of food. We shared about ten different rolls, ranging from eel, lobster & shrimp to even BBQ. The eel was one of my favorites. For those that don't love sushi they have a regular menu as well. What a delightful dinner!

Bang For Your Buck!! Sushi can get pricey, and you often don't get an opportunity to enjoy different kinds. Thats what makes Sushi Katsu such a great choice. All You Can Eat sushi is the way to go, and the quality is good too. Stellar service as well. A+ in my book!

We came in for all you can eat lunch and there's tons to choose from! Service was great. We came in 30 min before they were done with the lunch special and let us know we needed to be done eating by then. So we did feel a little rushed but that was our own faults. The folks there did come by often to make sure we were don't ordering which was nice. Inside was nice and clean, nothing to complain about. The sushi was pretty good, especially for the price! Everything was pretty tasty but you also won't get the same quality as a non all you can eat. Overall, I was very happy with what we got for how much we paid.

Went for lunch with a coworker. She suggested this place and we decided on the all you can eat. The price was reasonable. We ordered salad and miso soup and selected our nigiri and sushi rolls. The nigiri and rolls came right away. We ordered a second round and asked for our salad and miso soup which hadn't been served. They brought the items for us. The place was busy and the shared parking lot is small. The sushi was good. Not great but solid. The unagi could have better sauce and the fish slices for the nigiri were not amazing. Still, I enjoyed the lunch and the service was attentive even though they were busy. I think for a landlocked state this place is good for sushi. The place is clean and well run. I would recommend. And we will be back.

Their AYCE was a great deal. I wish there were better items on the menu. The fish was great! Would not get the salmon skin again.

Great All You Can Eat Sushi spot in Aurora. It gets pretty busy. The service is fast and efficient. Ordering is easy and organized! Great for groups and date nights! Parking lot is a bit tiny!

Food was great as always. Their customer service was amazing and the place was clean. That's all you need to know and this place still rocks!!!

DOWNHILL SLOPING!! I'm not sure what is going on here, but the quality and cleanliness of this restaurant is dropping! I'm always seeing new and different servers as well as different chefs. It's like 50% of what it used to be like and it breaks my heart to see. Most of our cuts of nigiri were quite small and the rice always fell apart when picked up with chopsticks or fingers. Many pieces of sushi was sloppily prepared too, but it was crazy busy and with new chefs working, this can be understandable. I will say that the food tasted mostly as good as previously reported in my other reviews. They ran out of miso soup but when a fresh batch was made, we were brought fresh, steaming hot bowls that were wonderful but served with disposable plastic spoons. The servers were almost frantic busy as if they weren't sure of what to do, but they got our orders correct. In my opinion, it wasn't a well-run establishment this evening. Our wait time for 3 people was about an hour and many large groups of people were there probably due to the holiday season.

Sushi Katsu in Aurora is one of the better all you can eat sushi places. While I'm not a connoisseur by any means when it comes to sushi, the rolls and fish served here are always fresh tasting despite being in a landlocked state. Service is fast paced and our food came out within a couple of minutes of ordering. I tried the spicy tuna rolls for the first time and they were excellent-not fishy at all. My general standby for sushi is California rolls and vegetable tempura-both were great here. Highly recommend the dinner all you can eat menu for $31. It is worth the expense as we left super full from the yummy food. Very clean place with fun, traditional Japanese decor. This is my favorite of the metro locations of Sushi Katsu.

Sushi Katsu has a great AYCE deal - $24.99 for lunch and $30.95 for dinner. All you can eat is no joke. They will keep the food coming although they have put a 2 hour seating limit per table. Lots of options in appetizers, nigiri, and rolls. Rolls have plenty of ingredients and are generous portions. One of my favs is the Volcano Roll with crabmeat and cucumber topped with white fish, spicy mayo, masago, scallions and sweet sauce. They have other locations but I think the Havana one is the best.

This place was an all you can eat sushi restaurant. It was a little more pricy than I expected but that was alright. After tip and tax it was around $40 a person. The sushi was decent quality and the service was good but not great. They delivered the food so quick though! Side note: If you're going to eat here, and you're not hungry, this isn't the place for you.

Ask the Community - Sushi Katsu

Do they offer dinner menu price for lunch?

Nope. Their AYCE menu is limited for lunch thus it's cheaper. You can always order a la carte right off the menu as well.

Are the menu items for all you can eat sushi during lunch and dinner the same?

No, the dinner menu has a lot more specialty rolls and other small sides.

If they close at 10:30 why do they do last calls way before 10:30? Every time I go here it's been such a pain to eat here. The sushi is good, but it's always such a headache coming to this restaurant.

They also do last call around 1:30 for the 2:30 close at lunch. It gives them time to get the restaurant cleaned and shut down in a timely manner. Closed isn't necessarily serve the remaining guest. In Japanese culture time is literal.

I saw a review that said 12.99 4 rolls and 4 apps? Where do I find this and is it a limited menu?

As of end of May they have changed their AYCE to go menu pricing. If you check their FB page they are always updating it! DTC & Lakewood have opened for dine in as of 6/15/20

Going today. I'm okay with sushi, but my guest isn't; what should he order here that isn't necessarily seafood?

Vegetable tempura (panko crispy vegetable slices, deep fried.) Udon soup, Goyza, Beef or chicken teriyaki, Crispy Tofu with dipping sauce, Seaweed salad, Crunch mushroom, Chicken yakisoba, BBQ rib, Chicken fried rice, Vegetable sushi -- This (and…

I did notice the fake ramen displays ( there's gotta be a name for this art) while passing by. Finally made a trip. First impression was good. The restaurant had the menu on the table with glass top on it. Also got another smaller one and a piece of paper with pencils on the side. He took the drink order and also instructioned us to mark on the paper on what we wanted and when were were ready, press the buzzer. There were many choices and had a hard time choosing what we wanted. I wanted ramen for sure and also wanted some appetizer but opted for a dragon roll. My black garlic tonkotsu ramen was very rich cloudy broth, perfect to warm up, and it was delicious. Just the right amount of noodles and plenty of chatsu to go with. I have just scrached the surface as I write this review. There are so many options and choices that I failed to comprehend. I wish our waiter suggested some alternate options which we would have appreciated like the combo meal and also happy hour drink options. Will be back to full fill the ramen quest!

Although our tickets indicated a 7:00 PM start, we didn't realize the full event began at 5:00 PM and arrived late. Despite our tardiness, the owners were incredibly accommodating. Not only did they help us get our food quickly, but since the venue was full, they appeared to give up their own management seats right next to the stage so we could sit. As someone with a disability, this gesture was a huge help and deeply appreciated. Their kindness and discretion--never making us feel like a burden--have earned them a loyal patron for life. The food was excellent. We enjoyed okonomiyaki, sushi, onigiri, yakisoba, kaki furai, oden, and ajifurai. Every dish was cooked to perfection with flavors that truly stood out; the chef is clearly outstanding. As for the entertainment, Katsura Sunshine was wonderful and friendly. His storytelling had us in stitches--I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. His apprentices also did an awesome job with their performances. The restaurant it self was larger then it looks from the outside with a nice sushi bar and a number of tables and booths. They were busy but we were seated a few minutes after arriving. I ordered a number of nigiri which had the perfect ratio of fish to rice. The Hamachi, Saba, and Unagi were my favorite but the Amaebi was also solid. We added to our meal with an order of Agadashi which is deep fried tofu in a savory broth and a geso age or deep fried squid legs, both were great but I'd go back for the agedashi again! When it arrived my friend commented that she couldn't even see the noodles under the tofu. However, another table ordered drunken noodles as well and it seemed that that customer's entree took up at least most of his plate, so it seems that portion sizes may be inconsistent here. I ended up still being hungry afterwards, so I ordered a tom yum soup, which both I and my friend thought was 13.99 based on how the menu is laid out (pictured of menu attached)... we were surprised when at the end it was 17.99. When I brought up my concerns, the owner (?) pointed to the price at the bottom of the page under the ramen. I said, oh but I tried to order the chasu pork option from the bottom pricing list, and she said "no that option is just for ramen." My other friend at the table noted some inconsistencies with menu pricing from the online menu accessed through the QR code, and the physical menu. I'm a bit appalled it was $45 just for my dinner. (Gratuity was automatically added to the check.) I've never had to order two entrees at a restaurant before just because there wasn't enough food. The ramen dishes and even the pad thai were decently sized, so I have to assume I just got unlucky with my choice.
