Nigiri
Alli B.

Such good AYCE!! The nigiri was definitely the best. Wow, yummy. $35 per person for dinner, pretty good. Not a bad bite here but if I had to skip anything, it'd be the spicy tuna. Salmon nigiri was my standout of the night, so simple and good. Also no wait on a Friday night.

Always enjoyed the specialty sashimi at Sho Sushi & Izakaya. The mango tuna, bincho kizami, lime hotate buri, hamachi jalapeno, salmon carpaccio, seared tuna wasabi and tako ponzu were all addictively tasty. Usually ordered sashimi and nigiri instead of rolls when having AYCE there as the rolls were more filling. The taste of lobster dynamite was rich and complex and zaru udon dipping the homemade sauce was surprisingly refreshing. Still cannot figure out why the mochi ice cream was not included in AYCE though, as isn't dessert the exclamation mark to finish a good meal?

It's a modern Asian eatery with an AYCE and a la cart options. All of the items taste fresh. They weren't super busy so the food came out fairly quickly. The skewers & Korean BBQ ribs were overdone like jerky but did have good flavors. Miso soup had depth but a bit on the salty side. Server was friendly & came around often. Fair value for what you get.

My 1st time visiting since Sho started to offer AYCE. From my past visit, I did like their food and service and today was a perfect opportunity to try. Saturday lunch is considered as dinner and charged accordingly at $34.99. Did I eat more? Probably not. Did they serve dinner sized portion? Probably not. Overall, I will not try the AYCE at Sho. For 2 people with one small beer and tip, it came out to $100. Pro: you get to try different items, mini version of it. You have different color options and for $34.99, you can enjoy most of their offerings. KFC was good, 3 orders of fried calamari will be good, tempura came out piping hot, udong was good too. Ramen anyone? Cons: lot of rice on mini nigiris. Yikes! Check my photos out. They are so tiny and so cute. Next time l will just skip the AYCE and go for full sized... maybe

Exceptional AYCE sushi restaurant with stellar food and service. Go for the orange menu so you can choose anything on the menu. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Best AYCE I have ever been to. Great rolls, sashimi, appetizers, salads, Nigiri and soups. Please give it a try.. .

The atmosphere was lovely and the food was phenomenal. I came here for my cousins birthday and had a great time with my company. I felt that the service was rushed. Our waiter seemed to be impatient the entire time we were there. I didn't let that get in the way of having a good time. The seafood was very fresh. Their plating was delicious. Very good prices for the quality of all you can eat sushi. I didn't get to label pictures as I had no idea which roll was which as she just placed it down in front of us and didn't mention anything. Would definitely give this place another try.

Hooray - we found a great new AYCE sushi place - we hope to become regulars. Everything was delicious ; we went with the Orange AYCE level and every Orange was awesome. The best tasting sashimi choices

Beautiful high ceiling and modern atmosphere. Very good service and delicious all you can eat (AYCE) sushi. This is my favorite AYCE Sushi restaurant in Denver. We got the blue AYCE. Their menu for appetizers and side also includes some Korean dishes, including tteokbokki and Korean spicy ramen. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time here! AYCE sushi can either be a hit or a miss, and this restaurant leans more to the 'hit' side. This was a more secure place located in Centennial, next to the highway. They offer AYCE sushi at $25 for lunch, $35 for dinner (+$5 for the premium menu). I honestly would recommend going all in and getting the premium. The sashimi salad is great and everything comes fresh. The service was helpful and checked up on us to see if we needed anything. It does get busy pretty quick so I do recommend heading there when they open. The are itself was kinda small from photos but it does feel a lot bigger than it looks online. Chill atmosphere with good service. I do wish they had fresh oysters in stock since I like to try out oysters everywhere I go, but next time. Will be back if I'm in the area.

The ambience is nice. The service is good. The sushi was fresh and unlike most AYCE sushi places (sushi katsu). The AYCE sushi/sashimi here is the same quality as if you were to order a la carte anywhere else. The rice was good also. There are 3 colors (price variations). We ordered the orange which is the most expensive one because it includes everything we wanted to try. I don't do this often so why not receive the full experience by splurging just once. Other than this place, we also love chubby fish. Chubby fish gets a few points more than here because it has a picture menu and smaller portions which helps us to be able to try more food and not be afraid that we won't finish it. But, I still like this place a lot and will return

AYCE sushi. Such a good time as long as you don't consider the amount of calories that are being consumed. I've been to nearly all of the AYCE spots in Colorado and I would put Sho at the top for now. Food: Great selection and quality when taking into account that it's an AYCE place. I would definitely recommend getting the Orange Premium selection which is only $5 more but includes much more tasty items such as sashimi, Korean BBQ ribs, and premium rolls (see attached menu photos). Service: Considering how busy it was, I felt well taken care of. Thanks, staff! Ambiance: The spot is nicely decorated and gives off more of a mid-price range sushi restaurant vibe. Music is a bit loud, but that's to be expected at an AYCE spot.

Ambiance is loud with echoes. Very challenging to have table conversations. Will look for a quieter spot.

Sashimi was delicious. Sushi rice was not authentic, so the rolls are not good at all. The chef should taste the food.

Some pieces fall into epic culinary but for the most part its just great sushi. Yellowtail is delicious, and more rare cuts (fatty versions) are usually a step up. I've never had a bad bite here, and love that its near park meadows. Seating hasn't been an issue when I go in, and noise is usually low. I could see at its peak being a bit less intimate. Being right off the mall parking is sometime challenging but never horrible. Highly recommend happy hour for the sushi deals, just don't steal my seat.

The interior meat was in a long block, and didn't really have any flavor. I wouldn't even call it worth $5, let alone whatever the actual price was. Creme brulee on the menu literally isn't creme brulee. It's cheesecake. I mean I guess it was good, but just call it a cheesecake. Wtf? One cool thing - my dad ordered salmon, and they gave him 4 small raw filets, and a roaring-hot stone slab, so he could cook it himself. Service was fine, but sometimes it felt like she'd forget about us for 15 mins, then come back.

However, within a few minutes of placing the order I received a call, wanting to confirm which location I had wanted to place the order through. I had accidentally chosen the wrong location so they canceled my order and had me place it again online. They called the other individual I was with who also placed an order. This must happen pretty often if they're calling every single person that places an online order and I will say that I did not notice that I picked the wrong location when I placed the order. So I was grateful that they called to confirm. The order was ready when we arrive to the location and everything was accurate. I started with edamame. And I will say it is pretty standard edamame. I also wanted to try a California roll. It was really fresh and I would definitely order one again. My favorite of the appetizers was that Gyoza. Those were so good. I always order them with Ramen in Kansas City but these knocked any of those out of the park. For Ramen, I went with a classic tonkatsu. The menu description said that it came with corn and bok choy, but I was missing both of those items. The Ramen itself was really good. The broth was super rich and they gave you a lot. There were also a lot of Ramen noodles. And I did like the addition of the bamboo shoots. The marinated egg was fantastic. This classic was so tasty. If I lived in the area, I would definitely visit pretty often. There's so many different menu items that looked so good and I'm sure the other Ramen varieties are fantastic as well.

When you walk in you immediately feel how cozy and beautifully decorated the restaurant is. Refined and relaxed at the same time. The staff are so friendly and pleasant and they were so cheerful and helpful! We started with the "monkey brain" and the sashimi ceviche. I would say the sashimi ceviche would be all you need to order - incredible quality fish. The rolls we ordered were the Taku signature roll and black dragon. Black dragon was our favorite. We made reservations and arrived a little early to a packed restaurant. No surprise considering it was a Friday night, but reminding staff of our reservation created a little bit of a wait for our party of 10. Once we were seated, a nice, young server came to us to take our drink order. Some opted for cocktails, others for soda, some just sipped on water. The selection of sushi rolls, hand rolls, soups, salads and appetizers is outstandingly huge. I was tasked with ordering for the group, so I rattled off 20 ish rolls that seemed good to everyone's liking. Seaweed and Kani salads made their way around the table, along with crispy tuna rice and tempura veggies - a great way to start! YUM! Then....the largest sushi boat I have ever sailed our way - filled to the brim with our rolls and displayed in the most fun and creative way!! I captured a video of the magic and 2.3 million people on TikTok seemed to like it as much as we did! The sushi was fresh, delicious and totally hit the spot. I overordered for our group (some ordered their own entrees) so we left with many to-go boxes for next day's enjoyment! Pricing is on point and reasonable for the quality and freshness of the fish. Our bill for all of us with everything was under $400 which was shocking to me! I will take off 1 star for service. I know our party was huge, requested a large amount of food and drinks, but service lacked. A space for us wasn't ready upon arrival (creating a wait/rush to push tables together for our party), our waters were never refilled, extra plates never cleared, cocktails/beer forgotten (which we didn't end up paying for considering we didn't get it), and the entire experience left us kind of disappointed - but willing to give the place another shot. Having worked in food service, I understand the issues associated with larger parties and the pressure it creates, so I'd come back - and especially for to-go orders! yum!

Every time I've gone it's been pretty packed, but I've never had trouble snagging a seat (and I never make reservations). Honestly, it's become my go-to for a solo night--cocktail in hand, spicy book in the other. My routine? Friday nights. I settle in with my book, order the Thai calamari (which has the perfect punch of flavor), and wait for the 9pm special--$0.99 oysters until close on Fridays and Saturdays. Such a steal. The servers are always great, but Chris really stands out--attentive, kind, and totally gets the vibe of letting me relax and enjoy my drink and my book. I also came during Denver Restaurant Week and did their 3-course menu: calamari (obviously), the sea bass (which surprised me in the best way), and the blood orange olive oil cake... WOW. Light, citrusy, and perfectly balanced--not too sweet, just right. Most recently, I brought my boyfriend and we finally explored more of their oyster selection. Our server guided us based on our flavor preferences, and we loved a few so much we had to order another dozen. This spot is a gem--whether it's a solo unwind night or a cute date.
