Today was my very first visit to this location. I can't say enough positive things about it. I'd love to start by saying it's such a clean store with fully stocked items and variety. Upon entry I felt very welcome and at home as a guest. I want to give a very special shout out specifically to Alec, Andy, and Gabby (ps- Gabby- I hope the rest of your first shift went well! You're doing a phenomenal job!!) Alec- thanks so much for answering my boyfriend's and my questions regarding my car key! You were very informative and helped me save money and I can't thank you enough, especially since I've been on a tight budget! Andy- I cannot thank you enough for your impeccable customer service. You have a wonderful sense of humor, you're detailed, you're precise, and you took extra care copying my key and helping me get that done and fixing my issue. I had to get a new car fob, and he was super helpful with getting my order sorted, arranging a time he could do the programming, and taking care of it with a friendly and professional attitude. He was even able to get me a new car door key, which was a delightful surprise. There was also a comfy place to sit and wait (at a hardware store!) while he got the work done. I prefer Ace Hardware over Home Depot or Lowe's because of the excellent friendly service from Charlie and Alec who will get you quick answers to your problems so that you don't have to spend hours trying to find an untrained person to help you at some of the larger home improvement stores. It's always a pleasure to visit this store location and I highly recommend Ace. read more

I needed some liquid plumber and I always forget how close this location is to me. It's small but super well organized and the staff is super friendly and helpful and they have a ton of stuff, even greeting cards! It's at the end of the plaza so the parking is easier. They do everything too, key copies, knife sharpening and even have carpet cleaner rentals! read more

I came here looking for parts to fix a 50 year old lamp. I needed a ton of stuff to do it. I'm not an electrician or even a serious tinkerer. That said, someone at this location helped me find 6 or 7 things, which took at least 10 minutes. We even chatted about stuff that wasn't hardware related during the search. The lamp needed an obscure bulb, and they had it on hand. They had everything I needed. This was the best hardware store experience I've ever had. This is the place I'll be going to get everything from now on. read more

Our search for a garden pruner for our fruit trees led us to visit Ace at Hamilton plaza for the first time. A nice store larger than the one in our neighborhood. Employees are nice and helpful. Alec was friendly and efficient, he located the last one from the backroom, established an account for hubby and registered the pruner for warranty. Rude and discriminatory staff. I was yelled at by Michelle to leave the store after she saw I was carrying a personal scooter. She told me there were no bikes allowed. I explained to her that I did not have a bike and the scooter was folded up. She still insisted I leave. She also saw my backpack and profiled me for that too. Try to save 10 cents and get treated like crap. I guess it doesn't matter that this store is within riding distance of 2 elementary schools and a community college. Students should stay away, people without cars should stay away. Watch out for Michelle she sucks. read more

I stopped by today to get a key cut. I was lucky enough to be helped by a pleasant and knowledgeable young man named Bobby. I had my own key so he had to ask if he could perform the service. Once he got the ok to proceed, he promptly knocked it out. As a small business owner in the area, I can appreciate good customer service. Bobby was better than good, he was GREAT! I prefer Ace over HD or Lowe's any day. It is smaller and has a smaller town feel (i.e. better friendlier service) vibe to it. This location is the same. They do have a smaller selection than the big guys but win on all other counts. read more

This was one of the nicest Ace hardwares that we've been to! We have been traveling to a couple of Ace hardwares to grab items for our new home. It looks brand new and very organized whereas some of the other Ace stores have the older feel to it. We came to buy some paint and oh my gosh, there are SO many choices and options, it can be quite overwhelming. Someone came to help us right away and explained the different types of paint and he recommended what to use for different things. For example, he recommended the egg shell instead of the matte paint if you want something that can be cleaned easily or if you have kids touching things all the time! It was a little pricey, but that's what you expect when trying to buy the best items for your home. They also sell frozen pies here!!! So cool! We bought a peach cobbler and it was delicious. Overall, wonderful experience and I'm sure we will come back often! read more

"Ace it's the place with the helpful hardware folks," unfortunately it seems nobody told this location that that's their slogan. I went in for a light timer today. I wandered around lost for a bit, couldn't find them, went up to the front desk to ask. One person mumbled to me where it was as they were dashing off to do something in regards to a phone call they just ended. I asked the second person to clarify and she did. Though she had no line, she also made no move to show me or walk me the 20 feet to where it was. After spending some time there, once again not being offered any help and not find something, I left. They thanked me for coming in on the way out, but didn't even bother asking if I found the item. There are a stones throw from a Home Depot. If I wanted no service and to find everything myself I could go there and get a much bigger selection. I'd love for them to stay in business but they're going to have to work harder. read more

Just walked in to pick up some bike hooks. I encountered multiple helpful people. Trey was especially friendly and helpful. He told me exactly where the bike hooks that I needed were. Our first visit here at their new location. We really liked the one in Campbell off San Times Aquino Rd. And missed it. But this is even closer to us. A nice well laid out and organized store. Good signage on each aisles and helpful staff. I would like to see more garden space but there were some plants for sale in front. Maybe more will be added later? read more

It was time for a Traeger upgrade, and we chose Ace for their excellent customer service. We visited the new location on Bascom and Hamilton Avenue in Campbell. Upon entering, three Ace associates greeted us warmly and offered their assistance. Knowing exactly what we wanted, we were helped by Tre, who was outstanding. He informed us that Ace would assemble and deliver the smoker at no extra charge. We placed our order, and within a day, Tre left a message confirming it was built and on its way to our home. I have visited this Campbell location three times and every single time I got greeted at the door with a friendly and welcoming smile followed by "Is there anything we can help you find today" which was very helpful. I really appreciate how the entire team works together to assist in making sure you are take care of. One of my visits was towards closing time. I was looking for paint samples and guidance on the finishes. Diana who was at the paint department was very helpful. She was patient and very knowledgable. She never made me feel rushed or pressured to make a fast decision in selecting a color even when I had lost track of time and the store had already closed. I took my samples that day and came back the next day to place an order. Diana helped me once again and provided outstanding customer service in all the level. I truly appreciate the personal and knowledgable service this location offers which is something hard to find now in day at retail stores. ACE is the place! Super clean environment, friendly faces and good deals, I was fortunate to visit this Ace on Labor Day. Andrew was very friendly and checking out my compost purchase. The best part of my experience was taking my purchase to the car. Out of the blue, employee Jacob immediately stopped everything to help put the bags into my car without hesitation. I received the best customer service from the two Sales ladies working at the cash register. They spent a lot of time with me helping to find a wheelbarrow that I was looking for. They helped me to not only order it but get it delivered to my house. I also enjoyed their great personalities and friendliness they showed me. This is one of the newer stores, so some leeway is to be given, but they have been open for about two months and they still don't recycle fluorescent lights. That wouldn't be a big deal but the lady that I talk to is kind of hateful with a bad attitude about telling me about it. Like I had done something wrong and inconvenienced her by trying to recycle a fluorescent light... So I guess I can't really say it's a bad store, just need to iron out some of the issues. read more

I have an old watch that needed a new battery. I really didn't wanna have to go to a watch repair shop over something so simple. Today I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and was helped immediately by Ryan. He was able to take the watch apart and find the battery really fast. I was really impressed with his skills and his customer service. He was super professional and super patient with me as I had to make a couple of phone calls and get the picture of the battery. Ryan seem to be the employee to go to if you need help because when I got there he was just finishing with a customer and when I left, he was helping another customer. Per the conversations I heard he's extremely knowledgeable and I hope this review gets to the right person to see how amazing this employee is. read more

Me and my significant other and our daughter walked into this store with a bag from Ross and as soon was we walked in, the old white woman at the counter told us in a rude manner we were not allowed to bring our bag in and had to leave it at the counter. Even though there were other people in the store with bags. We complied to avoid any further disagreement. We came in to get 3 bolts and when we went to the register to check out (we've never been here before) she asked us for the barcode and price for the bolts. We did not have it. We assumed because there was no tag on the bolts they can just look it up, that was not the case. When we told her we don't have it we didn't know we needed it she said in a condescending way she cant do anything without it so my significant other went to grab the price and took a picture of the barcode. I then had asked her the price for the carpet cleaner and then had asked her how well it worked. She was being very dismissive and said I don't know. The overall experience was just terrible. We felt like we were being singled out as we were the only people of color in that store. And she was not willing to help us. read more
