Fresh Lebanese food. Fresh rotisserie chicken, everything fresh and delicious. They have 2 locations and both have the same quality and service.

If you're looking for excellent Lebanese food in Dearborn, look no further. Seriously, stop reading this review and just go to Hamido already! The food is fantastic and there's no shortage of excellent food on the menu. My friends and I went to visit recently and had a great time. It can be difficult to find a table during peak hours, so just be flexible when you arrive or plan to order takeout in advance. I'd also recommend the combos - lots of variety at a very reasonable price (especially when you consider that you'll get a few other meals out of the combo!). All things considered... why are you still reading this review? Go to Hamido already!

Family-owned authentic Lebanese food, Hamido is the place to go in Dearborn, Michigan. They make their pita and everything off of their menu themselves. My Uber driver was the one who actually recommended this place to me and offered to take me here if I added it to my route. Ordered: - Grape Leaves (these are one of my faves and a must try at any new place I go to for comparison. I liked the flavor of these, but I wish they were bigger in size. I kind of wish I had ordered two of these cause they were my favorite out of everything I had). - Falafel (1/2 dozen - these are big falafels and they come with lettuce, pickled veggies, and tomatoes - there is a sauce I used that paired well). - Shawarma Combo (part chicken, part beef with your choice of rice, fries, or hommous - I chose hommous with mine. The meat portion was huge! I liked the chicken more). - Tabbouleh (glad I got this to have with the rest of my food). - a bag of Pita - garlic and tzatziki sauce The wait was not that long. I received my food in a timely manner and couldn't wait to dig in once I got to my Airbnb. It was a great idea to stop by here so I wouldn't have to go back out again that night. The place is brightly lit, clean, small, but had booths and tables if people wanted to eat there. It definitely kind of felt more like a grab n' go - so plan to order ahead or stop by to order if you don't mind waiting. The guy who took my order was the son - the guy's dad is the one who started the restaurant and it was really nice to see his son being so involved in the family business. As I was waiting, I could tell that this place was popular as more and more people walked in to either pick-up or place an order. The food lasted me a good 2-3 days (received at night the first interaction).

This spot pumps out Middle Eastern food like nobodies business! All the dishes here were fresh and made to order. The meat is constantly cooking, and the menu is simple. You can have a sandwich, a dish of meats, sharing options, etc... After experiencing the food here I loved it all, BUT, I liked their beef shawarma overall. I would stick the tastiest menu item and load up on it. You will thank me... enjoy!

I'm dining in alone at Hamido. While waiting for my order, there was a man yelling from the dining area into the kitchen at another guy in the back of the kitchen. Clearly, that was disturbing. Not great for the ambiance. Then there was a television in the corner of the dining area with news of the war in Gaza and Israel. I don't think that's appropriate for digesting your meal. I can't complain about the food though. I had a small lentil soup, chicken shawarma and fattoush salad. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I almost ate the spoon with soup on it. Delicious!! There were a lot of people getting takeout. I'll be back for some more soup.

This place is delicious! First time trying Halal food and I'm very impressed. The interior of the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a small dining area for guests to eat inside. Parking can be a bit tricky as the lot is really small. While the dining room and parking lot maybe small, the food has plenty of flavor and spices that will keep your tastebuds happy throughout the entire meal! I order the Kabob Plate that had a mixture of chicken kabob, beef kefta, and steak kabob along with hummus and fattoush (both included) and rice (brown) and gluten-free! The flavors were delicious, the service was great, and the overall price was inline with similar restaurants. I would definitely recommend Hamido for authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine. If you're in the area looking for home cooked food - this is it. I'll be back!

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! It's in a more rundown area. We ordered the Hamido's Special Plate ($49.99), large Lentil soup ($4.99?), and small/medium (unsure) Baba Ghanouj ($4.99) for 5 people. Veryyy inexpensive and worthwhile meal. Takeout took ~25 minutes. Wow the serving size was amazing, they gave us a bag of pita too (usually ~$3-5 each in California). We had leftovers enough for 2 people! Chicken shawarma was so tender and loved the fluffy rice, salad, onion, tomato, and hummus combination. I also really enjoyed the Falafel, which was light and tasted "meaty" but the best I've had in general. I'm not a huge fan of grape leaves and lentil soup, so don't have a huge opinion on those. Definitely stop by here for a filling, flavorful meal!

Hamido Restaurant excels with their rotisserie chicken and beef shawarma. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and juicy, while the beef shawarma is flavorful and tender. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere make it a top choice. Highly recommended!

Best Middle Eastern food that I have had in some time. Why is all of the best food so far from me? So Dearborn is the place to go for the most delicious food, probably any food. The flavors are complex and deep! They obviously babysit their food prior to throwing it on the grill. They are cooking with passion and it shows up in the layers of flavor. I got a Combo Tray for 2, which me and hubby will have food for days. There was a sauce that came with it, didn't catch the name but light maybe yogurt and parsley. It is delectable and I want to curse here...but I will keep it PG! Great quality meats because it was soft with the right amount of juicy. So good, going back soon! Oh yeah, the young lady gave me a compliment and I so needed it! Thanks so much whatever your name is!

    Boneless grilled chicken

Beyond disappointed and disgusted. We've been eating at this place since childhood and the past few years, this place has been terrible. I was hesitant to leave this review, but this was unacceptable. We ordered 2 whole boneless grilled chicken. Came with a side of humus and baba ganoush for $60. What we ended up with was fatty thick skinned chicken thighs and no breast meat. The chicken meat was pink and the skin was so thick we were too disgusted to even attempt to eat it. On top of that they dumped an entire can of wholesale mushrooms as "garnish" I'm assuming. The baba ganoush is NOT fresh eggplant its straight out of the can and tasted metallic like. This will be my last time ever eating here. People work too hard to just throw their money into the trash like this.

We saw the signs going up late last year and only recently had a chance to drop by. It's always nice to see another place that specializes in breakfast/brunch! We stopped in close to noon and found a small shop with around 8 booths worth of seating. There were only two tables with customers at the time but a couple more groups trickled in later. Service is super friendly here - we sat down, ordered and our food came out pretty quickly. Hummus Bil Tahina ($7) - Nice creamy hummus, fresh tasting. The hummus here is a bit heavier on the tahini vs. some other places. This is topped with fresh tender, piping hot and steaming chickpeas, and a nice fresh olive oil that's just the slightest bit peppery. The olive oil here tastes much fresher than most other restaurants around the area. Fatteh Bil Laban w/ Ras Aasfour ($14) - I totally misjudged what ras aasfour is - when I googled this before going in, I thought it was going to be Lebanese-style mini ground beef meatball stew, but this turned out to be straight pan fried lamb. The construction is essentially a layer of super tender chickpeas, topped with fried pita chips, a garlicky and tangy yogurt, then a very gamey lamb flavored oil (the oil they use to fry the lamb), and finally toasted slivered almonds and the aforementioned ras asfour. While I don't usually like lamb, the meat was actually not gamey at all and I honestly thought it was beef at first. It wasn't until I dipped into the rest of the bowl that I found that the oil drizzled on top is super gamey and the taste permeates everything underneath. If you like lamb, you will love this dish. All the ingredients used in this fatteh are on the liquidy side, so the pita chips get very soaked and lose their crunch. Batata Harra ($7) - These potatoes were undercooked. We heard the chef frying everything up, but I guess they still weren't cooked long enough? The insides were not fluffy and instead were on the hard side. The exterior had no crisp whatsoever. The potatoes were tossed with red pepper flakes, adding a bit of spice, and fresh cilantro and garlic, giving an herbal pungency. I also found a bit of acidity possibly from the addition of lemon juice. As with a classic Lebanese breakfast, you get pita and a plate of fresh veggies and pickles to eat everything with. The pita is standard commercial pita probably from a local bakery. Another patron was asking about bread and the waitress said the oven was down, so maybe they usually have fresh pita? The veggies included sliced tomatoes, cucumber pickles, turnip pickles, fresh radish, onion, mint, and even some Lebanese green olives. Yum! A very nice accompaniment. On the table are the usual salt, pepper, sugar, and olive oil, as well as a bottle of pomegranate molasses. We asked the waitress and she said that people enjoy drizzling it on liver and on baba ghanoush. As a side note, this is one of the few restaurants around the area that serves complimentary bottled water. Most other places charge a dollar or two per bottle. The Lebanese breakfast classics at Al Fawwal are pretty good. It's a good choice if you want to expand your breakfast repertoire.

You decide... First of all, it's next to a brewery. (Ordering from their website, you'd think the parking lot would be lit -- in at least two ways -- but it's next to a brewery Nice brewery and all, but Bistro seems a bit out of place... not the brewery.) Pickup was seemless. Anyhow, the lettuce seemed fresh, and there was some dark lettuce in there too. The chicken was very moist... and not much evidence of grilling. Not bad, tho, if you're hungry -- it was all right. Probly perfect for some. The dressing is something that we think could turn an otherwise decent salad into 4-5 stars... what they've got going on today, their "creamy Parmesan vinaigrette" is... well, it's just creamy. Maybe there's parmesan flavoring in it? It's OK, just very bland. Maybe their loyal clientele love it! Finally, to top it off, literally: "grilled pesto pita". You get one of these little slices hot of the grill and they might be edible. Beyond two minutes?... they turned into tiny triangular pucks. Seemed like a small pita to begin with too. Overall, decent. Not bad, definitely not great... which is too bad, we really want to love this place!
