    Yum!

I love Kabob Inn! Everything is fresh and fast - we've been ordering carryout. I love their platter for 2 - it's the perfect amount of food - especially if you order a large salad - the Greek with grilled chicken is my favorite. Everything is perfectly cooked and seasoned - my favorite of their meat dishes is their beef kabobs. They are so good! Order them medium or medium well - they're perfect. Their falafel is also yummy and I love the chicken shawarma pita sandwich. It's hard to stay competitive in this landscape - but we keep coming back because their prices are fair, portions are good, and food is fresh. They are always friendly and accomodating.

Change your hours of operation on your door. Waste of time coming here on my lunch break. I definitely will not be returning.

    House/ Garden Salad

This is the $14 house salad in case anyone would like a real life representation of the garbage they serve their customers. This is just what I picked out in a minute, trying to make it edible. They seem to do this when it's close to closing so you can't call back right away to complain. Well no worries, I'll just post on here so that they either start to hold themselves to basic standards or maybe others will at least be warned about this garbage before ordering. We used to order here all the time but haven't ordered here in forever because of their high prices and poor quality but decided to give them a chance again. Far too many arabic restaurants around serving fresh food at better prices to pay for this garbage.

This place is on Par with Kabob Town on 21&Gratiot. If you know you know. There is not many really good Mediterranean food around here.

My husband is Iraqi and always excited to support fellow Arab businesses, especially Iraqi ones. So tonight we tried Kabob Inn. First off, they messed up our order but perhaps it was his mistake? Iraqis refer to skewered ground beef as "kabob"... other Arabs refer to this style meat as "kafta". So my husband ordered Iraqi kabob and got kafta. If the non-Arab employee has worked an other Arab restaurants before, she would easily make this mistake, so I'm not marking down for this mistake. But this place got a low review because I thought the meat tasted off. My husband ate it. We also ordered chicken which I thought was good. Both dishes were very small pieces of meat compared to other local restaurants. We got a small fattoush also. No sides came with our order. Just 4 skimpy skewers of beef, 2 skimpy skewers of chicken and a small fattoush. $40. WTF?! Super over priced! We won't be back. This place is not going to make if they keep their prices so high and their proportions so small.

The one thing this restaurant is famous for is their shawarma sandwiches using bread seasoned with zatar. I absolutely love those, but I don't think their salads get alot of credit. A medium salad is enough to feed 2 people comfortably for a decent price. When you are a Middle Eastern restaurant in Dearborn/Dearborn Heights you have to find ways to stand out, and this business does just that. I enjoy just about anything I eat from here, especially their toume (garlic sauce). I also wanted to add that they do practice COVID safety restrictions, contrary to what others said in previous reviews

What's left after I ran out of pita. Going to the trash.

I paid $15 for hummus with meat, they gave me 2 pita. I'm throwing 3/4 of it out because I don't want to eat it with a spoon. Needless to say but this was first and last time I'll patronize your restaurant. The hummus is actually pretty good, just no way to eat it.

Food is delicious and on a carry out-when you get home you are not surprised. It is as good as if you were there seeing it prepared.

There's a parking garage in the rear and plenty of spots. I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.

He's laying on the couch and extreme pain we get up so I can go home and he starts to feel super sick so we go to the hospital and we have to go to the emergency room keep in mind I told them beforehand that he has a peanut allergy and when he started not feeling good I called them in the car and asked them Is there any peanuts or peanut oil or anything in the food and they told me no we sat in the ER for five hours. We called them a couple days later and they tried to tell us that it could've been from something else that he had eaten that was our first meal of the day and if it was from something that he eaten before he would've had the reaction at that time not hours later when he goes and eat something else! they're taking this as a joke allergies are not a joke you can kill someone this way! Employees need to learn their menu #1 and #2 have protocols for people with allergies because I don't know what in the chicken from could've given someone with a peanut allergy a reaction, but there was definitely some cross contamination of some sort if they're so strict on that there is no peanut or tree nut in their Shawarma.

In & Out Shawarma is your typical family owned neighborhood Metro-Detroit Middle Eastern…read morerestaurant. I remember visiting the first time a couple of years ago after reading the reviews stating the restaurant was inside the liquor store and being confused when I couldn't find it. Instead, they had just moved right next door in a newly renovated building. To be honest, I find that the restaurant interior here is bland and soulless but luckily the food here doesn't match the surroundings. During that initial visit, I did not like the food. I ordered the Meat and Chicken Shawarma Sandwiches and found that the meat in both were exceptionally dry and tough. If I had been on Yelp back then, it would likely have ended up as a 2 or 3 star. I went again recently for lunch to give it another chance, getting the same items again. The food arrived within 5 minutes or so after ordering. Meat Shawarma Sandwich ($6.75) - This was totally different from my previous visit. The meat was tender and flavorful, not mushy and not dry. There was a great balance of ingredients, with the meat, veggies, and tahini mixing together to create the perfect bite. The veggies were super fresh, with tomato, parsley, and crunchy and aromatic onions. The tahini added a good nuttiness. Overall the sandwich had a good amount of moisture but not enough to cause anything to go soggy. Chicken Shawarma Sandwich ($6.75) - Again this had great construction and balance of ingredients. The pickles were nice and crunchy with some sour acidity. The chicken was not the juiciest, but definitely not dry, and had a bit of a nice charred flavor. The garlic was solid and added a nice complementary pungency. The ingredients were distributed pretty evenly, resulting in a piece of each component in each bite. Side notes: Both sandwiches weighed between 7 and 8 ounces, which I think might be a bit on the smaller side. I am also not certain if the shawarma is shaved off the spit here. In & Out Shawarma improved so much this trip that I will definitely be going back in the future.

Knowing about the history of Dearborn I was ready to put the shawarma to the test and am glad I did. The restaurant is located in a strip mall but the inside is newly decorated with ample space inside to dine in. We ordered the shawarma sandwich (mixed), side of hummus, falafel sandwich, and salad. I took the first bite of the sandwich and had to pass it around to everyone at the table because it would be an injustice for them not to try it. One of the dishes came with a side of garlic sauce that is so potent it will make your mouth burn. Honestly, that is the perfect level of garlic for me. In regards to freshness, everything is made in front of you. You can tell they know how to prepare their meat as everything is super juicy and dripping with flavor. In fact, the only negative to this place is that they need bigger napkins. You will go through a bunch just wiping your face and hands. This is a meal that I will be thinking about for a long time.
