Ordered falafel chips on my second visit, they seemed a bit over cooked, but pretty good.

I heard a lot of good things about Amo Sami's Shawarma from TikTok and finally gave it a try. I'll admit I came in with high expectations. Considering the shawarma back home is unbeatable, I get that I may have been expecting too much. It was good. The portion size is generous and the price is fair. I just felt like it needed more toum, and I didn't totally understand the extent of the hype. That said, I really don't have anything to complain about. The order said it would take 40 minutes, but I got it in 15, which was a nice surprise. I ordered using the QR code inside The Canteen. The drink in my photo was from a different vendor inside The Canteen.

Gotta admit that the hype led me here and it was well deserved. Amo Samis delivers a loaded shawarma with all the best qualities: it's crispy, garlicky, and full of pickles. It was really good (and really heavy!!!) and definitely a place you could come for a rare treat. Fyi you should order ahead because it seems like most everybody's order takes a long time.

I'm surprised this place actually lives up to the hype. I tried the Amo Sami chicken shawarma, which had chicken tawook, fries, coleslaw, pickles and garlic sauce. The bread was crispy and had some seasoning on it. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. It was bigger than a typical shawarma sandwich and super filling. I ordered online and did not have to wait long for my order. His food truck in located at The Canteen at Fairlane mall.

I took my team here for a last day holiday lunch before the break. More so the team could experience this place. Ordered two chicken shawarma Sammie's with added fries. One Sammie with less pickles. $39.58. Food was quick to come out. The fries are good. The sandwiches are quite long, smothered in garlic sauce too.

This is the cutest spot! The food court/food trucks are such a vibe! There are about 6 food trucks, an ice cream vendor, a coffee/tea specialty vendor, and sushi spot! I ate at Amo Sami's because "the viral chicken shawarma" has entered the chat! I had cash, so I was able to order at the window of the food-truck. If you don't have cash, you can order ahead online with your card/apple pay, etc using the QR Code. The service was quick, they guys are friendly and professional! I did wait a little for the sandwich, maybe 30 minutes or so--but IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!! i also ordered an iced strawberry matcha from Z's Bubble Tea--yummy. back to the sandwich, YES, it was as crispy on the outside as everyone is saying it is, which pairs perfectly to the tender juicy chicken on the inside! It's like 12 inches long--it's huge--pause. One sandwich could definitely feed two people, or the other half would be perfect to finish later! I spent around $23 for the sandwich and a side of fries. All i honestly needed was the sandwich. The shawarma itself is an entire experience! I also got it without pickle. and they prepared it perfectly. i'm still childish, I have the taste palette of a toddler. I haven't grown into pickles yet. Don't judge me.

Now that I live out of state, out of the metro Detroit area. I'd kill for an average shawarma, let alone one from the GOATs at Sami! I'm at work day dreaming about the crispy crunch on the outside and the perfectly cooked meat and chicken on the inside... May God forgive me for my haram thoughts of a shawarma. I need an IV of shawarma hooked up to me before I start saying Ope

Amazing shawarma!! Came here on a recommendation and have never had a shawarma sandwich quite like this. We got the chicken shawarma and the Amo Sammie. First off, this is HUGE, easily enough for two people to share. The flavorful crispy coating on the pita is so delicious, savory, crunchy and feels like it's fried. Great amount of filling - the amo sammie comes with chicken tawook, Cole slaw, pickles and fries. Sauces, pickles, and fries are delicious too. You can order ahead online (recommend) or pay with cash at the window. Lots of available indoor seating and other trucks to check out too here.

Amo Sami has one of the best tasting sandwiches I have ever had! The seasoning that they put on the outside of the wrap is incredible. It tastes citrusy and refreshing. I had a falafel wrap and it was fantastic. The falafel had great flavor and consistency and there was plenty of it in the sandwich. I also loved how many pickles they put in it! My husband got a chicken shawarma and he loved his as well. He did say that the seasoning on the chicken was great but the chicken itself was kind of dry. It is set up as a good truck at this location and it cash-only if you order at the truck itself. You can scan a QR code though and order from your phone. This is a VERY popular spot- so be prepared for a long wait! My husband and I waited nearly an hour for our 2 sandwiches, which we expected, however the online ordering system had said that we would be notified when our sandwiches were ready and to expect to wait 45 mins. We enjoyed our time in the outdoor seating area in the middle of the food trucks, but when the time approached closer to an hour without any text or email or update in their online system that our food was ready, we decided to go up to the truck and ask for an update. When we got up there, the guy working asked the name on our order and when we told him he grabbed them from the counter and gave them to us because they had been ready. It wasn't a big deal, but we just aren't sure how long they had been done and just sitting there, because we never got a notification. Overall though it was a great experience and the outdoor seating area as well as the inside of the Canteen were beautiful. Very lovely, very clean, very bright and there were even umbrellas at the outdoor tables when it started to sprinkle a bit. We will be back

We checked them out in the food truck spot place in Fairlane mall parking lot! I heard they also have a couple brick n mortars too! They are the only truck that spoke as we read the menu. Super quick service once we ordered. The SAMY was sooooo good!! I forgot to take a pic I was so hungry and first bite was perfection!! I ordered the chicken fattoush SAMY! WE DEFINITELY will return. Nice fall decor outside the truck and clean around the truck.

There's a parking garage in the rear and plenty of spots. I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.

Ordered carry out. crushed lentil bowl, chicken kafta, two sides: small hummus, small baba ghanouj, large fattoush salad with no pita. $38.13 Food takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Drove all the way back to the office. My chicken kafta looks to be lamb, not at all what I ordered. My large fattoush is covered in pita chips. Had to spend several minutes getting every pita chip out of the salad. It's good I am not allergic to gluten. They shove the dressing packet in the corner of the salad, so you get a bit less, that and the pita chips. Other than that, the salad was fine. I am quite disappointed the order is not right! The crushed lentil soup has a lot of rice in it, which is just filler to me. Has some clumps of something, may be rice and starch? It's too inconvenient to drive all the way back. Do be sure to check your carry out order before you leave the place. The crushed lentil is quite bland, not much flavor to it. Tastes some fennel, quite a few clumps of starch. The soup is more rice than lentil. I could count on one hand how many traces of lentil was in my bowl of soup. What in the world? My husband ate the lamb kafta, since I don't eat red meat. He said it was so-so, but rather dry.

The margaritas ($12) were quite diluted, and the $7 mocktails were underwhelming. For food, we ordered the Chicken Kabob Dinner, Shawarma Platter, and Spicy Man-Usha. Both the Chicken Kabob Dinner and Shawarma Platter came with two sides : we chose fattoush salad, Greek salad, and grilled vegetables. The grilled vegetables were done really well, and the shawarma platter was enjoyable. However, the chicken kabob was disappointingly dry, and the Spicy Man-Usha, despite sounding exciting, turned out quite bland.
