Our experience at Cedarland was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. The food was truly incredible - easily one of the best Lebanese meals we have ever had. We ordered the Cedar Feast platter for six, and every dish was outstanding. The meat ghallaba was tender and full of flavor, the lamb chops were juicy and perfectly cooked, and the kabobs and kafta were beautifully seasoned with the perfect char. The wings (soooo good!!!) falafel, fried kibbee, and stuffed grape leaves were all delicious. The hummus was incredibly creamy, the baba ghanoush was wonderfully smoky, and the tabbouli and fattoush were fresh, bright, and flavorful. From the warm, comforting soup to the last bite of the main dishes, everything was absolutely incredible. Truly! The portions- incredible!!! As amazing as the food was, Chelsea made the entire experience even better. She was so warm, friendly, kind, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. She has such a wonderful personality and made us feel completely at home. She took incredible care of us, made the whole meal fun and enjoyable, and treated us more like friends than customers. Cedarland Restaurant on Warren Avenue in Dearborn delivers fantastic Middle Eastern food with portions big enough to feed a small army. The food was on point. The shawarma plates and chicken sandwiches came out loaded with flavor, and the fresh pita bread arrived warm in a plastic bag. The lentil soup and fattoush salad were hands down the best in the business, and they were complimentary, which immediately won me over. You definitely get your money's worth here. In fact, I needed a personal navigation system just to find my way through the mountain of rice on my plate. The service was top-notch--fast, friendly, and attentive. The staff moved with the kind of speed that makes you wonder if they secretly have rocket boosters attached to their shoes. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star rating is the decor. The interior feels like it hasn't been updated since the mid-90s, and the vibes are strictly retro in a way that wasn't intentional. Cedarland is a great restaurant to visit especially if you love meat. We were seated quickly as soon as we entered. Since I have celiac disease I asked about which items on the menu contain gluten and they were very knowledgeable about which items would be safe for me and also possible substitutions. The meat, grape leaves, rice, salad, and hummus were all delicious. Everything here is halal and the staff treats everyone like family. My family and I love this place and we always get a carry out when I'm in town visiting. Everything is delicious! Some of my favorites include the fattoush salad, fried kibbe, hummus, chicken, and all the shawarma sandwich options. The meats are so tender and flavorful. The hummus is amazing! We've eaten at the restaurant many times too and it's very spacious and clean. The service is excellent. They also do catering and we've used them for parties. A friend invited me to go try Cedarland and ofcourse I agreed! Comfortable, welcoming atmosphere with a delicious menu to pair with it! We ordered the Cedar Plate to share which was plenty of food for the both of us. Overall the food was tasty, I give it 4 stars overall because the meat was slightly dry but not dry enough where I wouldn't come back & give it another shot. The Tabouli was so fresh with the perfect amount of flavor. I also ordered a fruit smoothie, which was pretty refreshing! They do not serve alcohol here but they have a large variety of healthy juices for you to pick from! Service was quick and friendly. The Cedar Land combo I got a riot which is a calf down in Peterborough. We got rice and of course I put in to go bags cause I'm taking all this home and there's fries and and a salad I picked for two and it was supposed to be a lamb champ here I don't know. Definetely the real deal. Staff were awesome, helpful, and enthusiastic about what they do and helping their customers. The Fattoush was great at a 9.2/10, the fried Kibbeh I can't give an accurate rating as it was my first experience but I will go with 8.9/10. The Falafel (9.5/10) was great and unique to any other falafel I have had in that it had a nice crisp but delicate bight. We got a platter with all of the meat options except for Chicken/Tawook. The stand-out were the lamb chops which were ridiculously tender and delicious. The Kofta was also fantastic and more light on the spices which I actually enjoyed. It seems that Cedarland has sorted things out and are back to greatness. I'm a 35 year patron and am happy to report that all my recent visits have been very good. The chicken and lamb/beef shawarma sandwiches are hefty and delicious. The portions are generous! Meat and rice stuffed grape leaves are awesome. Rotisserie chicken is juicy and deliciously seasoned with lemons, cinnamon sticks and herbs. The salads, hummous, baba ghannouj and lentil soup are all great. This is a staple restaurant, an absolute pillar in Dearborn. It's a family run diner-style Lebanese restaurant serving big crowds everyday and that is what it succeeds at better than a lot of other places. The staff is friendly and attentive. Absolute best deboned chicken I've had over the years in Dearborn, really anywhere as there are a few spots that I frequent closer to Ann Arbor. Pic below is Deboned chicken but I added the lemon oregano sauce. Plain first is my recommendation. The beef/lamb Shawarma also hits. I plan to be back to try some of the raw juices, platters, and dinners next time I'm fasting for the holiday season. This is the third time I've received undercooked meat from this restaurant, and unfortunately it seems to happen specifically when I order their larger platters (serving 10-15 people). I've tried to be patient and gave multiple chances, but this is unacceptable especially when feeding a group. At this point, I am requesting a full refund for my order. Two kinds of pita, then thin and thick kind. We enjoyed the thick more, wish there was more it and that it was hot rather than room temp. Dips were all tasty. We drove up and down Dearborn near the start of Ramadan trying to find a decent place to eat for weekend brunch - bad idea! Basically everything in the area was closed. Thirty minutes and five restaurants later, we drove past the brightly lit open sign of Cederland and decided to stop by. We've been the Bakery next door before (which was excellent) so we were hoping the restaurant would be equally good. We got the Cedar Plate w/ Rice and Fattoush ($35.95) which came with a variety of different meats and sides. Complimentary Pita - They give you two sandwich bags of quartered pita that I assume is from a local commercial bakery. Complimentary Lentil Soup - It's a good lentil soup, warm and full of cumin, black pepper, and other spices. They're pretty sloppy with the service on this this - there were dried lentils crusted all over the outside of the soup bowl. Fattoush - Fairly standard salad, lightly dressed. They really stacked the salad on the plate that was way too small - pieces of various vegetables were flying off the sides whenever we attempted to serve. Rice - Pilaf-like rice mixed with vermicelli, with slivered almonds and chopped parsley on top. It's a good base for all the other items. I was a bit surprised that they only gave you a choice of either rice or hummus - usually other places give you both. Plate w/ Kabob, 2x Kafta, Tawook, 2x Falafel, 2x Fried Kibbee, 4x Grape Leaves, Chicken and Meat Shawarma - Yikes, not sure what happened here. Two words can describe most of this plate: dry or salty. On the dry side we had the Tawook and the Shawarma. They were nicely seasoned with Lebanese spices, but both were dry and stringy (especially the tawook). On the salty side, we had the Falafel, Kabob, and Kafta. The Kafta had a nice mix of meat and parsely, and the Falafel was well spiced and fried, but after each bite, I had to drink an entire cup of water. I feel like the only items I actually enjoyed on this plate were the Kibbee (fried to perfection) and the Grape Leaves (very nicely textured mix of rice and ground meat inside). The rest was somewhat disappointing. Toum (Garlic) - The Plate came with 4x 2oz plastic cups of toum. The texture was more of a watery mayo consistency than a paste. They seem to add quite a bit of lemon juice, resulting in a more sourness than other places. I believe they also add potato to dampen some of the garlic pungency - unfortunately this adds a slight potato taste and some additional grittiness. I found this to be a below average toum. As with all the other Middle Eastern restaurants in the area, they give a ton of food for the money. We easily had enough leftovers for maybe another 2 or 3 meals during the week. As a note: Cederland serves tap water free of charge (the mom and pop restaurants here are hit and miss in terms of charging for water). I'm not sure what happened here. Cederland seems to be pretty highly recommended and regarded in the area. Perhaps they didn't have their normal staff on hand due to Ramadan? read more

It was still amazing & I felt like it was in a time capsule (in the best way). Generous portions & the most friendly service. We ordered way too much food. Our server brought us a variety of different to go containers & bags to accommodate the left overs. She even packed us up extra fresh bread & pickled turnips to take with us. Hands down the BEST restaurant in Dearborn! Every time I have friends come visit from out of town this is the FIRST place I take them to eat. It's a small little spot but there is plenty of seating. I always without fail order the whole boneless chicken all dark meat. With a side of hummus and Fattoush Salad. The lentil soup is complimentary and it is the best lentil soup I've ever had. I know a lot of people see it and it's green so they don't want to try it. But for me, do it! Ha ha and add some lemon juice that's on the table, if you like lemon you'll thank me! We all ordered a small tabbouli salad which I feel like the 3 of us could have split one of those! It was the best Tabbouli I've had, very flavorful with parsley, tomatoes, garlic and lemon juice and was not dry whatsoever.
