Love love love this place! Love the original so I wanted to try this branch. Always get the chicken bread sandwich no tomato. Took a little while, but worth the wait. Good service and good food that's what's good

    The best Chicken Wings!!!!

Hands down best sub shop in town. First time coming was couple years ago and I have not stopped since. Avid food lover and I've tried many places around but nothing gives the authentic middle eastern sub taste like here. Pandemic has caused worker shortage but they're bouncing back.

After reading some of the comments on yelp, I thought twice about ordering food from Ananas. But I have to admit, the food was delicious. I don't know if there is a new chef there but DAMN what a difference from before and after. If you've had a bad experience there before, come back and try it again. I have to give it to them, I was truly impressed. The subs were full of flavor. I ordered a steak, sausage, and a chicken with not a single complaint.

Beef from my kebab sandwich, hard as a rock, could not eat it.

Took 45 minute to get my take out order. Only one person working...taking order, cashier, phone and cooking. Ok, the hummus was good but DO NOT order the beef kebab. Very old, burned and dried out meat, could not even bite into it. The picture is the pile of beef that came out of my sandwich. I think the cook knew it would be dry because he tried to put more tomatoes, pickles and sauce but still could not bite into the beef chunks let alone chew and swallow.

Ordered a soujok sub and it literally had one skewer cut in half for a whole sub. It was horrible to say the least.

There's a parking garage in the rear and plenty of spots. I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.

In & Out Shawarma is your typical family owned neighborhood Metro-Detroit Middle Eastern…read morerestaurant. I remember visiting the first time a couple of years ago after reading the reviews stating the restaurant was inside the liquor store and being confused when I couldn't find it. Instead, they had just moved right next door in a newly renovated building. To be honest, I find that the restaurant interior here is bland and soulless but luckily the food here doesn't match the surroundings. During that initial visit, I did not like the food. I ordered the Meat and Chicken Shawarma Sandwiches and found that the meat in both were exceptionally dry and tough. If I had been on Yelp back then, it would likely have ended up as a 2 or 3 star. I went again recently for lunch to give it another chance, getting the same items again. The food arrived within 5 minutes or so after ordering. Meat Shawarma Sandwich ($6.75) - This was totally different from my previous visit. The meat was tender and flavorful, not mushy and not dry. There was a great balance of ingredients, with the meat, veggies, and tahini mixing together to create the perfect bite. The veggies were super fresh, with tomato, parsley, and crunchy and aromatic onions. The tahini added a good nuttiness. Overall the sandwich had a good amount of moisture but not enough to cause anything to go soggy. Chicken Shawarma Sandwich ($6.75) - Again this had great construction and balance of ingredients. The pickles were nice and crunchy with some sour acidity. The chicken was not the juiciest, but definitely not dry, and had a bit of a nice charred flavor. The garlic was solid and added a nice complementary pungency. The ingredients were distributed pretty evenly, resulting in a piece of each component in each bite. Side notes: Both sandwiches weighed between 7 and 8 ounces, which I think might be a bit on the smaller side. I am also not certain if the shawarma is shaved off the spit here. In & Out Shawarma improved so much this trip that I will definitely be going back in the future.

Knowing about the history of Dearborn I was ready to put the shawarma to the test and am glad I did. The restaurant is located in a strip mall but the inside is newly decorated with ample space inside to dine in. We ordered the shawarma sandwich (mixed), side of hummus, falafel sandwich, and salad. I took the first bite of the sandwich and had to pass it around to everyone at the table because it would be an injustice for them not to try it. One of the dishes came with a side of garlic sauce that is so potent it will make your mouth burn. Honestly, that is the perfect level of garlic for me. In regards to freshness, everything is made in front of you. You can tell they know how to prepare their meat as everything is super juicy and dripping with flavor. In fact, the only negative to this place is that they need bigger napkins. You will go through a bunch just wiping your face and hands. This is a meal that I will be thinking about for a long time.
