So the food is great. As far as delivery it can be a wait depending on the time you call or use grub hub. I just got my lunch and after I requested no peas I still have peas in my rice. Hence the 4 stars. Food is fresh , price is inexpensive and it's pretty good considering they don't cook pork.

First time here and they did not disappoint. The dry pot was amazing. Large portion sizes…read more Definitely over-ordered but will make for get leftovers. We ordered the dan dan noodles for an appetizer, chewy noodles and good flavor. Then we had the custom dry pot (we put chicken, tofu, Napa and Choy medium spicy) that came out tasty and fast. And finally we ordered the crispy fish which was HUGE but crunchy and flavorful - definitely more food than we expected but it's okay! Servers were friendly and even though there was an error in our order they were quick and ways to fix. The restaurant is small and hole in the wall, feels authentic. AC wasn't on so a little warm with all this spicy food but overall will definitely come back with friends and family.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.

Absolutely delicious, fresh, crispy, generous portion, and great value! Price is very reasonable,…read morethis costs only $9.75! Ask for hot sauce and pour some on it, it tastes even better that way and it isn't overly hot. Customer service was great too and I walked in to place the order and it was ready in under 10 minutes. Once she got to her destination, she opened the food container so that she can begin eating. As soon as she looked down, she noticed that there appeared to be something on her shrimp and was compelled to walk back to the restaurant and ask for either a refund or newly prepared food. The host/clerk (person behind the counter) told her it was grease and refused to either refund her or prepare a new meal. So my daughter sent me a picture of the food and I told her it looks like the shrimp has herpes! Never the less, she didn't eat it nor did she cause a fuss and Just walked out. The consequence of poor customer service usually results in a closed business. It's a shame how these restaurants come to our neighborhood/country and refuse to provide valuable customer service. I gave 3 stars because I'm pretty sure she went there before and it was good enough to go back.

Don't know what other reviewers expect from a quick service Chinese food venue but allow me to shed…read moresome light for this place. As a local NYer who grew up with this type of comfort food, it's important to understand the distinctions. If you're expecting restaurant style food, do your research next time. When you're looking for a quick fix of stir fried foods, rice dishes drenched in glazed sauces, and crispy appetizers, this place did the trick. On my rainy day visiting my companions and bringing back takeout, this place provided us the food we needed. Most Chinese food takeout places would slather on so much salt, high sodium seasonings, watered down sauces, and very stale old cold rice. This place did none of this and they did a great job with their mixtures and flavors on my dishes. My only troubling thing was deciding what to get as everything looked good to order. Food bought on my side was the beef and broccoli - easy to tear through the beef bits, glazed and marinated nicely, and the broccoli was cooked well. My crab rangoons (what this place is known for) was extremely crispy and still hot when I arrived to my friend's place with melty cheese goodness in the center. Last is the shrimp eggroll - crispy and a bit bigger in portion than I usually get at other locations. No complaints on any items ordered and they all tasted fantastic. Staff is very nice and professional too. They also make sure to not miss out on giving any utensils or sauces to go with your orders. A better option for takeout Chinese food compared to the other neighboring places in this area as noted by my friend and Astoria local.

They've been consistent with service and food, and the vibe is very reminiscent of my time in Thailand. Located in the busiest part of Astoria (#1), they've done a great job at taking the narrow interior and making the most of the their interior and patio dining (#2). "Pye" is paddle in Thai, which is an homage to the boat food culture in the canals of Bangkok. Their pye boat noodle ("guay tiew ruea") is their signature dish and is sufficiently porky with slices of pork meat, pork meatballs, pork rinds, and in a pork blood broth. Beef is also an option, but I still think the pork version wins. Of course, dry noodles are always an option. They're the more classic Thai dishes that are still tasty, such as their pad kee mao, pad see ew, and the classic pad thai. They're all very tasty, but the ba mee moo dang hang whch is more like a Chinese dry noodle dish, with egg noodles and a smatter of yu choy and roasted pork + crab. Another banger is their sukhothai noodles, which is in a chicken soy broth with dried shrimp, ground pork, roasted pork and pork rind, with a nice topping of cilantro and scallion. Price wise, it's a bit up there but it's also Astoria. Entrees are going to range from $16-22, and there i no shortage of variety from their robust selection. While service takes a small dive on their busiest nights, all Thai food lovers owe it to themselves to try this place at least once. ___________ (#1) Broadway. (#2) Aka the "backyard" dining room.
