    Chicken and rice with fries
    Zain P.

Halal Munchies is a great spot when you're craving something flavorful and satisfying. The best thing on the menu in my opinion is the chicken and rice with fries, which is a perfect combination and packed with great flavor. The chicken is well seasoned, the rice is delicious, and the fries add a nice extra touch to the meal. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, making it an easy place to stop by for a bite. The service was friendly and quick, which made the experience even better. Great for UberEats / Doordash or you can dine in. Food comes out FAST!!

2nd time here after so many yrs. Why do they charge $.50 to stay fee? Weird. Got the heart attack burger ($9.20), which comes with fried cheese sticks. I really liked my burger. I just wish the beef patty was thicker. My coworkers got kofta over rice & combo over rice. The fries are amazing as usual, I really liked the chicken too.

pretty good halal food! they're open super late and honestly so, so efficient. i watched the workers put everything together, and it was insanely clean--i was really impressed. even though they were super busy, i got my food in under 10 minutes. i got the chicken and rice platter, a classic; it was absolutely filled to the brim. for $10, such a solid deal. the chicken had great flavor, and there was tons of white sauce (which i love). they had both spicy and regular rice, which was a nice touch. the vibes inside were so warm and welcoming. it's cute, trendy, and really clean. even at night, when it was busy, there were plenty of seats, so my friends and i had no problem finding a spot. the menu is all the standard halal staples at really reasonable prices.

Second time eating from this location. Available for delivery and dine in with late hours. Service is nice and the food stays consistent. Quaint diverse area and order options with cashier or kiosk inside. American and halal options on menu with cake assortment for dessert. I ordered the chicken over rice plate with hummus. Perfect seasoned rice and chicken pieces served with a side salad. I opted for hummus as side. You can have sauce drizzled on plate or on the side which I prefer. Either order on Uber eats or in person, this location is worth a taste. Everything I ate was delicious. Lastly, not sure if there's a restroom, ask cashier and there's can/bottle drink options. If you get the munchies, swing by.

If your on the go and can't find your Halal Cart, Halal Munchies is the next best halal fast foods to find The establishment is clean with very limited seating. It has your traditional halal cart food menu but in the store.

Never even heard of Halal Munchies until an Uber Eats delivery was mistakenly left at my door. I called the restaurant to let them know about the blunder. They told us to keep the food. I did not partake as I was still considerably full from dinner. The hubs and daughter dug in and they loved it. We decided to place our own order tonight because they thoroughly enjoyed it. Man, am I so happy Uber Eats screwed up. The food was delicious! Hubs got chicken over rice, daughter got chicken tenders with fries (she's got a less sophisticated palette) and I ordered the lamb gyro. You can't really go wrong with chicken tenders and fries. Their fries are seasoned well. The chicken over rice was of epic proportions. Well seasoned and sauced with a delicious salad. The gyro was mouth watering. I love the fact that the meat was ground as opposed to shaved or kebab form. It's those little things that I appreciate so much. The pita was fluffy and hearty. Everything was amazingly fresh and so tasty. We ordered apps as well (mac and cheese bites and jalapeño poppers). Zero complaints to be had. Will order again and again and...again!

I was in Astoria and wanted to get halal food and decided to get something inexpensive. Happened to see Halal munchies nearby on Yelp. So, I came here as it's a quick meal. I can tell this is a popular spot by all of the delivery pickups such as door dash or grub hub. I noticed this place in a different location. But never got to go. The menu is right on top enlarged, so it's easy to read and order. I found out that if you pay with cash, there's no credit card processing fee. I usually ask the restaurants if it's cheaper to pay with cash. There are different things to order on the menu and combinations. I got the mix (chicken & beef) with rice, which comes with a drink, salad, and fries. It was super filling. I would like to check out the other locations to see if it's all the same.

We walked into a bright, casual space with a welcoming atmosphere that operates like a fast food spot but feels more unique because of the menu's combination of familiar items with Filipino flavors. The interior is clean and functional, with a steady flow of customers moving through the line, and the energy of the room stays lively and approachable, reflecting the brand's popularity across a wide range of diners. The main reason we visited was for the Chickenjoy, which is easily the standout item. We ordered a few pieces and found the chicken had a crispy coating while still staying juicy inside, and the biggest difference was the signature gravy that comes with it. The combination of the crunchy chicken and savory gravy is what makes it stand out compared to typical fried chicken places, and the gravy adds a richness that transforms the meal into something more substantial. Beyond the chicken, the other menu items are what make Jollibee different. The Filipino-style spaghetti has a sweeter sauce compared to traditional Italian pasta, which may not be for everyone but is definitely part of the experience, and the sweetness is balanced by the savory hot dog slices and cheese topping. The Peach Mango Pie is another must-try, with a crispy outer crust and a sweet fruity filling that works well as a dessert after the meal, and the contrast between the flaky pastry and the warm filling makes it one of the more memorable fast food desserts. The Palabok and rice meals also add more variety if you are looking for something beyond just fried chicken, and the noodle dish offers a different texture and flavor profile that rounds out the menu. The restaurant can get extremely busy, especially during peak times, and some locations have limited seating, so the ordering process can sometimes feel more chaotic than a typical fast food visit. The staff were friendly and the service moved along fairly well considering how popular the restaurant is, and they handled the steady flow without losing the welcoming energy. The turnover is fast enough that even with a line, the wait does not feel excessive, and the team manages the volume with efficiency. Jollibee is worth trying if you want something different from the usual fast food options. The Chickenjoy, gravy, and Peach Mango Pie are the highlights, and the Filipino-inspired menu gives it a personality that makes it stand out, offering a meal that feels both familiar and distinct, and a fast food experience that goes beyond the standard burger and fries routine.

The tables are oddly located in the middle of the room due to the design of the floor plan. Although, the food is amazing. Chickenjoy! Always the best - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The spaghetti is great and very Filipino style. I've noticed two counters up front but only 1 counter is taking orders. There are people at the back working like crazy due to orders over orders. I recommend just getting in line for orders. I did both online and in person and the in person is way faster than online. Isnt that weird? Anyways, i love the food that's why i go back here despite all the hustles and bustles.

We walked into a bright, clean, and energetic space with a fast-paced atmosphere that reflects how popular the chain has become. Even with a line forming at the counter, the staff kept things moving efficiently, and the operation felt well organized considering the volume of customers coming through the door. The dining room has a casual, functional energy, the kind of place where the focus stays on getting a satisfying meal rather than lingering, and the open kitchen adds a layer of transparency to the process. We went with one of the tender combos, which is really the reason most people come here in the first place. The chicken tenders were juicy, freshly cooked, and had a crispy coating that held up well without feeling overly heavy. The coating had a good crunch that stayed intact through the meal, and the chicken itself was moist and tender throughout. The real standout, though, is the Cane's Sauce. It adds a tangy, peppery flavor that works perfectly with the chicken and honestly ties the entire meal together. Between the tenders, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast, it is a simple meal, but one that is executed consistently well. The toast is buttery and soft, and the fries are solid enough to hold their own alongside the main event. One thing we have noticed is that the chicken can occasionally feel a little greasy depending on the visit, especially if you are ordering a larger combo. For some people that may not be an issue at all, while others might find it sits a bit heavy afterward. That has varied from visit to visit, but it is worth mentioning because the meal is definitely on the richer side compared to some other fast food chicken options. The coleslaw provides a lighter contrast, though it is a fairly standard version of the side and does not stand out the way the chicken and sauce do. The staff during our visit were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was well maintained. Food came out quickly, and despite the limited menu, there is something refreshing about a place that focuses on doing one thing rather than trying to offer dozens of different options. The simplicity of the menu makes the decision process easy, and the consistency of the meal across visits is a big part of the appeal. Raising Cane's delivers a satisfying chicken tender meal with quality chicken, a great signature sauce, and consistently solid sides. It may not be the lightest meal around, but when you are in the mood for crispy chicken tenders and a straightforward comfort-food combo, it is easy to see why so many people keep coming back. The meal is familiar, filling, and hits the right notes for what it sets out to do.

The chicken was a good texture, but I you definitely need to eat it with the canes sauce to get flavor from it.

The Wake Up Matcha with Herbal Jelly (Large, Iced, 0% sugar) had a decent matcha flavor. It still had a hint of sweetness, and the general consensus was that the drinks were on the sweet side. I am glad I got no sugar with this drink. The Cajun Fries with Mango Habanero sauce was perfectly crispy. The Cajun seasoning completely covers the fries, which I like (give me -all- that seasoning!), so it's got really good Cajun flavor. The sauce added some sweetness to the fries. I liked the little wooden stick to eat the fries with, so you don't get seasoning all over your fingers. Note: they have a cash price and a credit card price.
