I was missing nyc halal food after moving to NC. I searched where I can get the best halal truck food in queens. Though this was t truck food it was a great choice. I've had a lot of halal in Queens and this is hands down my new favorite spot! Not only are the workers friendly but the clientele they attract are also nice and welcoming and chatty and really live this spot as well. I ordered the chicken platter as is with extra white sauce and a side of white sauce. Yes, that sauce is amazing!! You can eat there but i took my order to go. It did not disappoint! Flavor of rice chicken and fries were awesome! Fries held up even after taking it home and being covered in takeout container. My only gripe is the chicken to rice ratio. Wayyy more rice than chicken. I would love them to be more equal so I don't have so much rice to throw out/save after. The platter was a meal enough for two! And for a great price. Definitely coming back! read more

The service there was very rude to me - I asked for pickles on the side and they charged $0.50 for it.. when all i was asking for was the pickles i originally paid for to be put on the side. I'm not sure why they had to charge me so much for it, and they gave me a lot of attitude when I pushed back on it. Anyway - i never went back when I was a loyal customer for a while. Very disappointed in the service and experience i dealt with. They tried to tell me 'containers are expensive!' But CONTAINERS aren't $0.50 and shouldn't be at the expense of the customer! Thats ridiculous. read more

Staff were nice. Prices are low and portions are filling, but they gave me the wrong wing flavor. The wings were a bit too fried for me. The cheese burger patty and buns were dry. The honey lemon pepper flavor was tangy and sticky. There's a cc fee. read more

Halal Eats - 5 Pcs. Wings and Cheesebuger - Falafel Near Me - Elmhurst, New York

Currently my go-to halal food spot in the area. I had always thought halal food is better at the carts but Halal Eats changed my mind! I love how reliable this spot is when I need some late night halal food. They listed their business hours from 9 am to 4 am or 5 am on weekends - these are some very long business hours! My go to orders is the combo platter with chicken and lamb over rice, fries, and salad with all the sauces and their lunch special buy one get one gyro (applicable to chicken, lamb, combo, or falafel only)! The chicken and lamb meats are well seasoned and not dry at all. The platters are huge which justifies the higher price point and food is much more fresh and delicious compared to most carts in Queens. Recently, I tried the fried fish rice platter and it was delicious - fish was nicely fried and crispy, and doesn't seem greasy. I would order this again when I need a break from my combo. The platter is usually big enough for my hubs and I to share! Otherwise, it's two meals for me! read more

Have a love of gyro's but not every gyro tastes the same and even in NYC it can be difficult at times to find really good ones. Thankfully, Halal Eats is one of those good ones. Super filling and seasoned Halal Eats provides really good gyros for a decent price. Plus being that it is actually a restaurant and not a street vendor you can sit down and enjoy a gyro meal by yourself or with others as there is plenty of seating. Definitely a recommend if you are a gyro lover like myself and are in the area, whether you live in the neighborhood or just shopping close by. read more

Update: Came back here, same food. Totally inconsistent- the gyro was had about half the amount of filling; ordered falafel as well. Really fresh yet bland, sadly. And very dark. See photos. Not sure if it's worth it. read more

It's a busy spot. People were coming in and out. We got the mixed platter and the honey garlic wings. The wings were fried well and were meaty. The sauce was good but too sweet. We got the mixed platter and it was disappointing. The lamb was cold. I think they were hoping the rice and chicken would heat it up. It was also heavily spiced. They don't clean the tables. We told them the table was dirty and they didn't care. They also don't have wet wipes, a sink or bathroom so you can't clean your hands after. The least they can do is give wet wipes for your hands even though they are a quick pick up place. I also tried the chai. It was okay. It's on the mill side so if you like a stronger tea taste then you can pass on it. Mera's Tip: try the wings read more

This was the best platter I had in NYC. From meat, fries, to vegetables and generous sauce. Everything was incredibly delicious and in great amounts. The staff was really friendly and chill, and they were really fast with my order. 10/10 would recommend. read more

When this place first opened , they were very welcoming and very friendly and they gave large portions of rice and chicken and fries I wanted to share some feedback regarding value for money since now the portion felt quite small for the price of chicken over rice and fries as well , but I wanted to mention on the Uber Eats website they only offer buy one get one free the Gyro sandwiches why can't it be buy one get one free chicken over rice the place around where I live offers that and I barely give them business. I come here mostly because the food is good, but I'd wish you guys can be more fair with the price or give more food perhaps . read more

This is a small fast food restaurant that specializes in halal food (lamb and chicken platters) and sandwiches. It is a little more expensive than the typical street carts, at $9.99 for chicken or lamb, or $10.99 for a mix platter with chicken and lamb. However, the large size of the platter justifies the price. The food is almost much fresher. The platter comes with rice, salad (mostly cucumber) and their own fries. The french fries are really good and have their own seasoning that gives them an orange color. My only criticism is that the chicken and lamb meats are a bit too salty. I still finished everything, but the saltiness was very noticeable. read more

First time here today and ordered chicken platter and lamb chicken platter and it was ok. In the beginning the food tasted good until I got to the bottom of my rice and it had a sour taste to it, maybe because they had salad in the same tray. So when I eat my halal I like it with white sauce, bbq sauce and a tad bit spicy. Hence their spicy sauce is SPICY! Be sure to get a drink prepared and ready to take down the spicy. So this platter all comes with salad, rice, and seasoned fries. The portions are pretty big! Place was pretty small so it's like playing musical chairs trying to find a seat. Wait is a bit longer because they seem to be pretty busy. Overall food was good. I recommend trying it with white sauce and bbq sauce! read more

I came here to get a quick bite to eat. I ordered a chicken platter and a cup of tea (I later read a Yelp post that the tea is free; I was charged $2). The chicken is sold- good flavor, cooked perfectly, and a good serving. The rice was average, as were the salad and the french fries. If you're looking for a sit down halal spot, this is a convenient spot. The halal trucks have a better price for the same thing. read more

We got mix rice platter and buffalo chicken. I like how the platter comes with salad and fries. It is pricier than the street food vendor and shah's halal. I have tried this place atleast 4 times and i still don't like their rice. I will stick to the street vendors. Their rice has a funky smell to it. Service is quick. They do deliveries and have uber eats and other delivery platforms. Not a fan of their buffalo chicken because it is frozen. read more

They have free chai hot tea! I ordered the combo platter and it lasted me 2 whole meals! It came with salad fried and of course rice lamb and chicken. You can also ask for other toppings which they will ask you. You have the option to choose white sauce, green sauce and hot sauce. Supposedly the green sauce is spicy (friend mentioned since I didn't get). This place does get busy, although getting a table and seats was not too bad. When we left, the line went all the way to the door! Would come again! read more

I've been to the most famous halal spots in the city, from food carts to restaurants. This is hands down the best halal spot. Chicken over rice? You have not experienced anything like that. The most important thing? It's CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!! If you are in the area, TRY IT!! read more

Walk in and order. I do not recommend ordering before hand, it does not save any time. It seems like they wait until you arrive in order to make it - which makes no sense. This has happened to me twice. One thing is that they are generous with portions and it tastes good. read more

Got delivery. The platter came with white sauce mixed in and several sauces on the side: more white sauce, standard hot sauce, a green hot sauce, and barbecue sauce. Gyro was a bit messy and hard to eat with just my hands. Plenty of napkins. Portions are fine. Halal carts are cheaper of course. read more

I placed an online order from Halal Eats thinking it was a fully halal restaurant, as clearly advertised. To my surprise, the loaded fries came with bacon -- which is obviously not halal. I did not realize they would be serving bacon on a halal advertised place. Mixing halal and non-halal items under the same menu without clear warning is extremely misleading, especially for those who rely on these labels for religious or dietary reasons. If you're going to call your place "Halal Eats," you should stick to halal-only offerings or be transparent about serving both. Very disappointing. read more

the space itself is small and occasionally hard to get a table. the service is good, the food is ready very quickly, never waiting more than ten minutes. the food itself is so so so good, it's very flavorful and the sides are very fresh the cucumber tomato salad is refreshing after the chicken with red sauce. the fries are so crispy and delicious. if you're getting a chicken platter get red and white sauce. also this place is open so late, which is very good on a long night! i totally would recommend this place for a quick and filling meal! read more

Went during lunch time were very friendly and quick. Najma was very nice at the front, but forgot to give me hot sauce for my gyro. Lamb meat was good and not overly cooked like other spots, sandwich had a great amount of meat and salad and white sauce. The wings were not saucey although the guy asked if i wanted it saucey or not and i said yes, but they were good in size and flavorful not spicy as i would like it to be. Overall will be coming back for sure Just sucks to not have any parking lot so good luck with that. A.B read more

Prices are on the higher end but the portions justify the price, quick service as well.

The service is very good, the portions are a good size for the price and the food is a 10/10. Plus the people are nice :)

Waited for over an hr for my order. Cold and subpar. At least the delivery person was able to find the place and was professional.

We did you a favor?! I have no complaints about the food, however, the big poster by the cash register advertising " pay cash 3% discount " is a complete lie. When I asked the cashier why I didn't receive the 3% discount by paying cash, the cashier told me it's applied already because they helped me save the credit card transaction fee! I felt cheated. If you prefer cash payment, at least being honest and tell the customer there will be credit card transaction fee and let the customer decide the form of payment. I felt disgusted for them to glorify themselves and make themselves sound like they are actually doing us a favor while most merchants absorb the credit card transaction fee as part of their operating expense. I will not buy from them again. read more

This place really be working like they don't care because first off the person who takes your order is rude and impatient and the workers in the back making your food puts no type of effort. I ordered a chicken gyro and a chicken platter and they both came out messed up. The chicken platter had a whole piece of seasoning cube that didn't melt and I bit into thinking it was a piece of lamb or beef but it was so salty I almost had a cardiac arrest. Next up my chicken gyro was literally white sauce wrapped in a pita bread. I'm getting my money back. read more

This place seems to be super new and super clean. Was intrigued by the sign outside, also been a while since I've had halal, so why not? Menu was super clear and easy to understand. Nothing worse than a confusing menu. Reasonable prices with great portions. Special emphasis on the guy in the front!! He was super nice, amazing customer service. Platters somehow tasted superior than food stands halal. You can also customize your salad, which was unique. I wish there was one closer to where I live, id go more often. I had their cheeseburger and found it to be okay. The bun to meat ratio was quite high. If they toasted the bun more i think it would have been much better.
