I was missing nyc halal food after moving to NC. I searched where I can get the best halal truck food in queens. Though this was t truck food it was a great choice. I've had a lot of halal in Queens and this is hands down my new favorite spot! Not only are the workers friendly but the clientele they attract are also nice and welcoming and chatty and really live this spot as well. I ordered the chicken platter as is with extra white sauce and a side of white sauce. Yes, that sauce is amazing!! You can eat there but i took my order to go. It did not disappoint! Flavor of rice chicken and fries were awesome! Fries held up even after taking it home and being covered in takeout container. My only gripe is the chicken to rice ratio. Wayyy more rice than chicken. I would love them to be more equal so I don't have so much rice to throw out/save after. The platter was a meal enough for two! And for a great price. Currently my go-to halal food spot in the area. I had always thought halal food is better at the carts but Halal Eats changed my mind! I love how reliable this spot is when I need some late night halal food. They listed their business hours from 9 am to 4 am or 5 am on weekends - these are some very long business hours! My go to orders is the combo platter with chicken and lamb over rice, fries, and salad with all the sauces and their lunch special buy one get one gyro (applicable to chicken, lamb, combo, or falafel only)! The chicken and lamb meats are well seasoned and not dry at all. The platters are huge which justifies the higher price point and food is much more fresh and delicious compared to most carts in Queens. Recently, I tried the fried fish rice platter and it was delicious - fish was nicely fried and crispy, and doesn't seem greasy. I would order this again when I need a break from my combo. Have a love of gyro's but not every gyro tastes the same and even in NYC it can be difficult at times to find really good ones. Thankfully, Halal Eats is one of those good ones. Super filling and seasoned Halal Eats provides really good gyros for a decent price. Plus being that it is actually a restaurant and not a street vendor you can sit down and enjoy a gyro meal by yourself or with others as there is plenty of seating. Definitely a recommend if you are a gyro lover like myself and are in the area, whether you live in the neighborhood or just shopping close by. read more

It's a busy spot. People were coming in and out. We got the mixed platter and the honey garlic wings. The wings were fried well and were meaty. The sauce was good but too sweet. We got the mixed platter and it was disappointing. The lamb was cold. I think they were hoping the rice and chicken would heat it up. It was also heavily spiced. They don't clean the tables. We told them the table was dirty and they didn't care. They also don't have wet wipes, a sink or bathroom so you can't clean your hands after. The least they can do is give wet wipes for your hands even though they are a quick pick up place. I also tried the chai. It was okay. When this place first opened , they were very welcoming and very friendly and they gave large portions of rice and chicken and fries I wanted to share some feedback regarding value for money since now the portion felt quite small for the price of chicken over rice and fries as well , but I wanted to mention on the Uber Eats website they only offer buy one get one free the Gyro sandwiches why can't it be buy one get one free chicken over rice the place around where I live offers that and I barely give them business. In the beginning the food tasted good until I got to the bottom of my rice and it had a sour taste to it, maybe because they had salad in the same tray. It is a little more expensive than the typical street carts, at $9.99 for chicken or lamb, or $10.99 for a mix platter with chicken and lamb. However, the large size of the platter justifies the price. The food is almost much fresher. The platter comes with rice, salad (mostly cucumber) and their own fries. I placed an online order from Halal Eats thinking it was a fully halal restaurant, as clearly advertised. To my surprise, the loaded fries came with bacon -- which is obviously not halal. I did not realize they would be serving bacon on a halal advertised place. Mixing halal and non-halal items under the same menu without clear warning is extremely misleading, especially for those who rely on these labels for religious or dietary reasons. They have free chai hot tea! I ordered the combo platter and it lasted me 2 whole meals! It came with salad fried and of course rice lamb and chicken. You can also ask for other toppings which they will ask you. You have the option to choose white sauce, green sauce and hot sauce. When I asked the cashier why I didn't receive the 3% discount by paying cash, the cashier told me it's applied already because they helped me save the credit card transaction fee! I felt cheated. If you prefer cash payment, at least being honest and tell the customer there will be credit card transaction fee and let the customer decide the form of payment. This place really be working like they don't care because first off the person who takes your order is rude and impatient and the workers in the back making your food puts no type of effort. I ordered a chicken gyro and a chicken platter and they both came out messed up.
