I wish I could give this cute place a higher rating considering the owner of the restaurant immediately greeted me once I sat down. Very kindly told me to enjoy my meal and proceeded to nap on the chair beside me. I got the chicken kebab burrito because I've been craving burritos lately but the chicken was sooooo dry /: The sauce was good and the flavor was lemony, garlicky, and bright with a nice chicken char but I just wish it was juicier ): Overall vibes were very good though. My queen Nancy Ajram was playing and I love my Lebanese queen downnnn !! But it's a good spot to grab a quick bite and sit in the shade on a sunny day. If I'm ever around the area again, I would go back and probably try something else :)

This is a review for takeout. The order arrived on time. Food were packed nicely. Hummus and salad: freshly made and delicious. Chicken kabob platter: one of the best. I will definitely go to the restaurant and try other stuffs in the menu.

Ordered chicken kebabs and got uncooked pita bread! Such disappointment..

Ordered the chicken kebab and the pita bread looked weird.. when I take a look inside. The pita bread is raw.

I got the Za'atar Pita Chips and I experienced a horrible heartburn as I was eating them. Had to throw them out. They were very fried and hard to chew on. Would not recommend them. Day #2 and my chest still hurts so I had to get on antacids

Semkeh is a small window for ordering and a parklet outside for dining. They're tucked away in the neighborhood so it can be easy to miss them. I ordered a platter and although it was pricey, it was stuffed to the brim. The staff also took awhile for the order (20 mins) despite being the only one there, so make sure to give yourself some time since they can be a little slow.

Chicken Kebab Platter substitute pita for extra rice. (They gave me a whole container of extra rice not pictured)

Under new management and they really flipped things back around. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and food was great. I got a chicken kebab plate and subbed the pita for extra rice.

We wanted food after getting delicious coffee at Sey. Semkeh is delicious! Great price for really yummy food and nice ambiance in the outdoor/parklet. I definitely recommend the sampler!

You call this a PLATTER? Looks like a Lunchable to me. About 3 bites for $18 - yeah, I don't think so. The food is good and I've had their gyros and enjoyed them, but this portion size is disgraceful.

This spot was good when it opened, but now they charge nearly double and the quality went down the tubes. Add to that, they're pretty rude.

When you…read morewalk in, you are immediately greeted by a giant oven baking fresh pita as well as an open kitchen. There is also an outdoor dining area, as well as a mid-sized dining room and we were seated near the window. Sawa serves Lebanese cuisine with some more modern dishes. Additionally, they have a mostly Lebanese wine list, which gave us an opportunity to try some new wines. We ordered both a red and a white for the table, and I was especially drawn to the red, as the red was served chilled, light-bodied, and very enjoyable. Nearly all of the reds and whites on the menu are from Lebanon, with just one red from Morocco, plus a couple sparkling options from Lebanon as well. We started with several dips for the table: hummus, baba ghannouj, and muhammara. The hummus was incredibly smooth, and the muhammara was especially flavorful with large pieces of walnut throughout. Everyone at the table receives fresh pita, and we ended up ordering a few more to share. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the snap peas. The Brussels sprouts were rich and flavorful, but the snap peas really stood out. They were unlike anything I have tasted before, intensely mint, served with garlic mint labneh, and very delicious. For mains, we focused on lamb: two orders of the lamb ribs, two orders of the kafta, and two orders of the sfeeha. We probably over-ordered by about one entrée, but otherwise it was the right amount of food for six people. The lamb ribs were phenomenal, fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The lamb pies were also very good and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The kafta was good, though not quite as memorable as the other lamb dishes, but still very satisfying. Service was attentive throughout the meal, and despite the number of dishes on the table, the staff handled everything smoothly. The table got a little crowded at times, but it was manageable. I would absolutely recommend Sawa, especially for anyone who enjoys trying something a little different. They do classic Lebanese dishes very well, while also offering some creative dishes that feel unique and memorable. I am already looking forward to going back.

I have a lot of Pros so i'm gonna start with really the only con. Con: it was pretty loud in the main room. Food: the Dorade and lamb meatballs were both awesome, the Chicken and Saffron butter was great as well. If youre gettting the pita and mezze, get more pita than you'd expect. It's some of the beg pita our family had ever had. The hummus was great but the babaganoush was killlerrrrr. My family had a field day on the syrian cheese and hot honey. I loved the grape leaves and charred eggplant. For dessert, ordered the tiramisu, date sticky pudding, and the rhubarb tart. The date sticky pudding was kind of like a date brownie and the toffee topping was insane. It was so rich and potent. tiramisu was good, but we could have done another Tart. It was so vibrant and refreshing, it was the first to go and if we wouldn't have already been stuffed, we would have ordered another. Service was great, and very accommodating. I can't have sesame seeds, and they took it off of everything we ordered, no mistakes there and much appreciated!

On a Friday evening, my friend and I came in as walk-ins and got a spot at the bar. The space is a bit tight, but it works if you don't make a reservation ahead of time. I was pretty hungry, and everything we ordered was more than enough food. To start, we had the Whipped Ricotta ($14), Muhammara ($14), and Chicken Shawarma Hummus ($18). Absolutely loved every dip, which were all different in its own ways that I can't even choose a favorite. The ricotta was a sweet one that gave a nice contrast from the savory spices of the other two. I liked how much chicken they added for the hummus too, so you're getting almost a whole meal. You'll definitely need extra pita for all this, which does fill you up. We did also get a Radicchio Salad ($19) for some greens plus a Beef Kofta Skewer ($20) for some meat. Both of these dishes were solid, but could pass on them next time. Definitely recommend any of the mezze and hummus here; it's all you need. This is a really great date spot or group dinner. Perfect to have a drink or two while enjoying some pita and dips mostly.

Muhamara - a bit too flavored if that's makes sense? The spices overpower the base flavor a bit . Also it's on the dry side. I like muhamara a little more smoother. Not my favorite muhamara Ricotta - very creamy and smooth, almost like a sweet cream cheese or creamy condensed milk. A bit nostalgic Short ribs - a little sweet, nice balance of flavor profile with the meat, vegetables and hummus. A bit on the spicier side with a kick. Pita is soft and warm very fresh, quite good!! Eat while it's still warm because it does get less good the longer you wait.
