Chris and his team were unbelievable! So kind and professional and QUICK! Could not have asked for a better team and people that really cared about your belongings!

My desk and monitors protected with packing blankets and cardboard

Chris and his crew were great! Moved me extremely quickly and the total bill came in less than the estimate. They protected and transported my belongings safely. Would definitely recommend them.

BEWARE Do not ever give them cash TLDR: Today - almost a year after my move - I received an invoice and debt collector's notice from H2H's lawyer saying I owe $537. My original $4,306 move turned into a $6,487 move and now H2H is trying to come back at me for more money!!! Are they scam artists? Full version: It has been almost a year since I moved with H2H and they extorted $1,600 extra out of me - and now they are back, using their law firm Mayerbock, to try to extort more money. - The rate we negotiated was $4,300 (attached). - When they picked up my things they said it would be $4,824 - fine, maybe I had more things - After an entire insane fiasco (see my other post) where their movers didn't show up to deliver in San Francisco, they sent my things to LOS ANGELES made me pay another $1,600 to have my things rescued and back to the original place of delivery (breach of contract) - At this point I owed under $600 which I was ready to pay whenever movers actually showed up and they were sending numerous voicemails and texts and emails insisting I can only pay cash or Zelle - The day of the move was also a nightmare with H2H on the phone, but the subcontractor was nice and polite (I even tipped them). They accepted $600 cash, in addition to the $1,600 check for LA move, both noted on the bill of goods receipts

example of screw destroyed by power tool

I used H2H movers to relocate within chicago, and this week I found that they stripped every screw in my bed frame while reassembling it in my new place. I reached out to customer service who refused to help since it fell outside their window for claims. This careless disregard for my belongings is blatant negligence. Anyone who knows how to use a power tool can prevent this kind of damage, but they clearly cared more about speed than doing the job right. let this be a warning to triple check everything they touch during your move! Or better yet, look for another service provider.

Once to move between houses in the city, and once to pack our things and load them into a truck that we're driving to another state ourselves. Expert Movers were incredibly professional both times. Here are some highlights: - Not a single piece of damage to any item or the house during either move. - Very hard working movers who are strong and can safely lift even very heavy items. - Locally owned so it's easy to get someone on the phone if and when you need. - All materials provided and everything completely handled. I literally sat there playing video games for a few hours during one of the moves. This last time we moved they really outdid themselves. We needed somewhere to store our 26' moving truck for the night between packing and loading. We didn't know where to store the truck so we called Expert Movers for their advice. They ended up offering to drive the truck to their lot, store it there overnight for us, and then drive it back the next morning *free of charge*! Crazy stuff. These are good people. Worth every single penny and we won't even bother calling another moving company if we ever need to move back to Chicago.

I spoke to all, and I mean ALL the major moving names in Chicago. We went with a mover only be canceled on a week prior to our move! Roy came to our rescue, and boy did he ever! From the moment we spoke to on the phone to the moment they drove away, it was a professional, positive, and reassuring experience. We had a massive move and Roy came to our home to check out how much we would likely have to move. Quoted us a FIRM price, no flexible or hidden fees, and on the day of the move he, himself was the on the team with 5 other guys. I have never see a move more proficient and professional set up/ (I have moved plenty!) He had his guys stationed in an assembly line, so no wasted time up and down stairs, he went back and forth between the truck and the apartment and watched his guys like a hawk! One of his movers joked and said that Roy could be a Drill Sargent, and he's right, but don't take that in a negative way, he did everything with a hint of joke or chuckle while being serious. The guy was great! His team was great! We are so so impressed. We don't plan on moving any time soon but you better believe we will be booking him and his team again someday in the future. Thank you Roy and Team! Excellent work!

Absolutely pathetic and I hope they are held accountable as I have reported Bell Labor and Moving Services in our U-Haul Claims, and also with the Better Business Bureau and Chicago Consumer Bureau. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking with Bell Moving and Labor Services. Our experience was extremely disappointing and added unnecessary stress to an already stressful moving day. We scheduled two movers for 2/21 at 10:00 AM to help load our belongings into a 26-foot U-Haul truck for two hours. We booked the service through U-Haul, expecting professionalism and reliability. Unfortunately, the movers never showed up. The manager I spoke with, Devonte is the name he mentioned, told me both over the phone and via text that the two movers were on their way. However, he never provided a confirmed ETA and repeatedly pushed back their arrival time. We waited with no clear communication and ultimately no service. No follow-up, no accountability -- just empty assurances while our moving timeline was completely disrupted. In my opinion, this experience felt deceptive and completely unprofessional. Moving is already overwhelming, and this company provided zero support or reliability when we needed it most. We have reported this business to the Better Business Bureau so that others are aware of our experience. I also believe companies that promote third-party services, like U-Haul, should take greater responsibility in vetting the businesses they recommend. Customers trust these referrals. Please think carefully before booking with this company. Based on our experience, we would never use them again and cannot recommend their services to anyone.

They responded swiftly with a fair price, time, and clarification for the project. Bell Moving provided a flat rate for 2 hours with 2 movers and a box truck that. The owner introduced himself by name at the start of communication. Was always cordial and responsive. Please note that this was a service requested the same week. The night before there was confirmation of the moving arrangements. The day of, I received a call to keep me posted of expected time of arrival and point of arrival. The young men, Diquan (owner) and Donavan, were very pleasant with in-person introductions and hand shakes. They were in their company labeled pull-overs with gloves at the ready. They got right to work. They were careful and quick. They were not put off by suggestions for navigation of the move at the pick-up site. They packed the items in the truck with awareness of spacing and care of the items (which included a mirror). I received a follow-up call when they reached the delivery address. They asked where each item should be placed. They were aware of difficult room entries and made adjustments without damaging the property. They let me know when the last item was off the truck and being placed in the appropriate room. There were various ways to pay, which was discussed prior to the day of the job. I rendered payment at the end. They thanked me. I thanked them and asked for business cards to share. I will be recommending them and using them again. Thank you guys! Your service was much appreciated.

Collins Family Movers recently helped my family with a long-distance move from Chicago to Michigan…read more I recommend them extremely highly. CFM provided full packing services on a Wednesday, and on Thursday they loaded everything onto two trucks, drove to my new home, then unloaded and set everything up (in one day!). It was a complex move. We were coming from a very full townhouse - lots of breakables, a couple pieces of furniture that required significant disassembly, a piano that had to go around a tight corner and down a flight of stairs. Everything was packed and loaded with extreme care. When we arrived at the new house, the team went to great lengths to place everything just where we wanted it, assembling all items and cleaning up nicely. Through it all, every member of the team showed a very high level of professionalism, compassion, kindness, and respect, both for my belongings and for my family members. Working with owner Richard before and during the move was also excellent. He walked me carefully through my moving options, and provided detailed quotes based on a couple different scenarios I'd asked him about. The price he quoted was in line with quotes I received from other local movers, but I went with CFM specifically because of the confidence I got speaking directly with Richard. When moving day arrived, there were no surprises: everyone was on time, the team was the size I expected, and the price was exactly what I was quoted. There was even a flub-up on my end, where I accidentally overpaid by a few hundred dollars, and Richard nearly immediately refunded the balance after the move was complete. A long-distance move with a house full of stuff is one of the most stressful experiences of a person's life. There's nothing more valuable than having a moving company that provides door-to-door service, with professionalism and transparency. Collins Family Movers went above and beyond for me in all these respects. I'm very grateful I chose to work with them, and will 100% work with them the next time I have to do a long-distance move (hopefully not too soon!).

I would not recommend this company. They are overpriced and…read morehave a very poor quality of work and even worse customer service. They protect themselves with their lengthy contract to ensure they have zero liability with your future and belongings. After sending numerous emails with no response, I called to speak to them about the damages. Richard was quick to tell me that I was lucky he took my call since he just returned from a long trip to Italy. This made me feel like my concerns were not important and he was doing me a favor by taking my call. Before hiring Collins Family Movers, pay very close attention to the damage/liability exclusions in their agreement. In my experience, those exclusions were like a green light to be careless with anything they can later say they aren't responsible for. When they damage your property, don't bother talking to Richard as he will make you feel like it's your fault for trusting them and not moving certain things yourself. I paid $1,600 to move a one-bedroom apartment with no appliances, yet apparently the best option would have been for me to move certain belongings myself. If I'm hiring and paying professional movers, I expect my belongings to be handled carefully whether or not a contract says the company will reimburse me if something gets damaged, but this is not what I got with Collins. Boxes clearly labeled for specific rooms were put in the wrong rooms. It was as if they couldn't read. I had to carry heavy boxes to the basement myself. Again a concern dismissed by Richard, but a service I paid for. A large, extremely heavy armoire was placed without anyone asking where I wanted it, and now I have to find someone to move it because it is sitting where my bed needs to go. It is unrealistic to expect a 60 year old woman to move this heavy furniture, yet all Richard could say was "where were you" as if I was unavailable. There was no sense of urgency from the moving team. It literally took three hours to load my one bedroom apartment. Mind you when I moved a year ago with Alamo and the same belongings, it took half the time. When I expressed this concern to Richard it was dismissed and excuses were made. I had to unwrap all of the furniture myself just to get them out of here because it was taking them so long. In addition the movers took an over one hour to make a drive that took me 20 minutes, while I was paying by the hour, equating to over $110 overpayment. Also, know that your trash cans will be filled with their shrink wrap because they do not haul away their own packing material, also in the contract but in my opinion a dis-service to the customer. The shrink wrap was used in place of moving blankets, which would have been a more sustainable and safer option. I've now used two different companies. Alamo Movers Inc. took roughly half the time with essentially the same belongings and provided a far better moving experience, with no damage to my property. The cost was about half as much as. Furniture was carefully moved with no damage and placed where I wanted it. When they were done I was satisfied unlike this situation.
