Terrible customer service. I called them on the phone and was transferred 3 times. The first two people could not tell me if they had the item I was looking for or not. The third person told me they only had one size, which later I found out was incorrect. He told me to try back some other time. In person experiences have all been as just as bad, except once a girl was helpful in telling me the best way to buy what wasn't available in the store but would be online. Otherwise the employees were either nowhere to be found (even when I was trying to check out!) or seemed to avoid customers. read more

Yes! Finally H&M opened at honolulu! I am so happy about this because H&M is one of my favorite store. I came 2days after it opened. It was full of people. I waited for about an hour in the line which it tells how popular the brand is. It is reasonable, but casual useful and trendy clothes. The clothes don't really catch my eye. It's too plain and simple. I could get cuter, cheaper clothes at forever 21 and love culture. On the second day of opening, I scored $15 flats and $3 panties. That was an okay steal. The items in their mainland store never caught my eye either. H&M customer service... Sorry about it, but it disappointed me. The whole time i'm shopping no worker approached me and said hi or ask if i'm finding everything alright. While i'm looking through the top racks, this worker came up to me and asked what size am I looking for. Then I told her i'm just looking. We're do I start people? Went to this store before Christmas and you would expect everyone to be in some what of a Christmas spirit. Boy was I wrong. As soon as I walked in the store I was expecting a hello or welcome, but no one and I mean no one was around at all. I actively seeked help from the employees, but no one was around. If they were, they were busy in the back or at the register. There Was Absolutely Noone ON The Floor. I literally had to go with the sizes they had on the shelves because no one was around to see if there was any in back stock! I now have to return just about everything I bought. 1st impressions mean everything. H & M left a bad taste in my mouth. It's not that hard to place people in the front or on the floor to greet customers and ask them if they need any help. It wasn't even CHRISTMAS Yet ya'll, COMONNNNNNNNN MANNNNN! I really was never expecting to pay a visit to H&M, because their online prices kinda discouraged me (even frightened me, might I add). I told myself I would never pay $65 for a dress that looks like grandma's old drapes! But, as I was wandering about Kalakaua Avenue one day, I stumbled upon H&M and I just so happened to be in the mood for spending! So, I sucked up my pride and decided to walk in and check it out. The clothes were so much cheaper than I expected them to be and very cute too! Some were as cheap as $7, which is a rarity in the expensive Waikiki area. The customer service is great too! They don't have a whole lot of employees on the sales floor, but they do smile and greet you when you do happen to stumble upon the few of them. The cashiers and fitting room folks are also very nice and helpful. Their shoes and accessories are also very reasonably priced and cute. Though, I must say I feel like some of their jewelry (their earrings in particular) look very cheaply made. I saw many pairs of damaged earrings revealing super glue residue behind from a gem that fell off.. if that isn't poor quality, I don't know what is 0.o Overall, the past few times I've visited H&M, were pleasant experiences and I do expect on returning in the near future. read more

Never having been to a brick and mortar H&M before, this was a dream. I got everything I wanted and it was a great deal. Have to say though - a few things on the rack were stained/torn. Luckily for me it didn't affect my options but it was still slightly off putting. Staff was super helpful and friendly, made sure I had everything I needed. And the fitting room is really efficient and convenient. I was a bit sad that the two things I really wanted were out of stock (but on a mannequin - I wish it was an option to ask for what the mannequin is wearing!). read more

I've visited H&M a few times. On opening day and then a couple times afterwards. When I visited on opening day it was a ZOO! Completely chaotic and just people everywhere! The selection of clothes despite the zoo of people was still good. I found a pair of shorts and three shirts for only $15, what a STEAL:)! I like the fact that they seem to have a different rotation of styles and clothing every time I go in. But still this store is nothing compared to the ones I've been to on the mainland. The selection in the women's department could be a little bit better. Also the lay out of the lower level is weird. The employees seem friendly, when they are around. I have barely seen anyone working the floor the few times I have been there, but the people at the registers are always smiling and friendly. I like the fact that this store now gives me more cheap and affordable shopping options in Waikiki. This store seems to have a never ending SALE going on which is good...cause there are always times "where I have nothing to wear". read more

First: The SALES here are fab; make sure to check the different discount racks, including: those a few yards from the front door, slightly before mid-store, on the right-hand side; those near the corner with the changing rooms, discounted from last season; those placed in a cluster at the store's center, such as casual wear (t-shirts, tanks, etc.) for cheap; those right before the cash registers at the far back of the store, which include all the awful fashions from 2-3 seasons ago that you're still, goddammit, considering; and others scattered throughout the store. Next: Look at the NEW CLOTHING section immediately to the right of the street-level entrance and right in front of that entrance, including what's upcoming for the next season; the "conscious" (eco) and other special lines for adult women. Then: Because you're a FRICKEN ADULT with a JOB/CAREER, not just a wearer of club clothes and ski/beach bunny gear and pajama-y stuffs and yoga pants/athleisure wear, etc., go to the section that's slightly before mid-store to the left, after the first big partition, where you can find GROWN-ASS outfits for those undergoing job interviews, or those who need downtown type office jackets/suits/professional-ish skirts. Surprisingly, these ain't too bad, for serious sh*t. Kind of playful and fun, for structured outfits, even. And: Since you are undoubtedly a FRUGAL-SPENDING GROWN-UP ON A BUDGET (gunfunnit), you try the maximum of 7 outfits a time on, in the changing rooms, comparing them in your head to similar ones at H&M's web-sales you've seen online, making adjustments for the $50-in-web-purchases-equals-free-shipping-YES-EVEN-TO-HAWAII factor, and say BYE BYE to the in-store clothes whose sale/regular prices don't match those, winnowing your brick-n-mortar purchases to only those whose sale/regular prices match or beat the online ones at the store's website. 'Cuz: duh, money. Finally: You take what's left from your try-ons, check for damage and/or make-up and/or lipstick stains, inspect the seams and buttons and zippers in case some have come unhinged/undone, test the workmanship and fabric and generally eagle-eye it over and over, before you---AVOIDING THE TEMPTING AS ALL HELL ACCESSORIES SECTION at the right-back side of the store (because there's a special place in Hades for you if you give in to that, or at least, another couple of hours in Waikiki)--make your way to the cash registers. Still got money? Musubi or spring rolls at Iiyasume (CASH ONLY!) down/across the street, then making sure to validate your 2-hour parking at Ross's by getting a cheap drink or nibble-later-snack there, exit the Ross's lot next door, and proceed on your SWEET WAY HOME. This is a pretty large h&m so I had high expectations but they all fell flat. I was in the store for almost an hour and no one ever offered to help me find anything. Even though I was a little awkward trying to ask her to help find me something dressy-casual she was so sweet about it, even though I had no idea what I really wanted. She was incredibly warm and didn't get frustrated or short with me and always stopped what she was doing to help me (: She helped me pick out an awesome outfit, and I'm so glad I asked her. Would mainly like to provide an update on the parking situation, H&M no longer offers a free parking validation with purchase. The clerk said that was only for their grand opening. It cost $5 to park in the building until 6 pm on a Sunday. I went to take my 17-year-old daughter to spend the $30 gift card she had received, and she had trouble finding something she wanted to buy. The clothes are more business-like and pricier than Forever 21, where she always finds cute things. She did end up choosing an $18 sweater and a top for $13. FYI there is no restroom in the building, they said to go across the street. read more

What did you expect. It's in the "heart" of waikiki, so it gets pretty dang busy. I built my suit and got it tailored, but while I was shopping, not a single person helped us. I needed some directions in where a certain item was and if they had my size...I had to "hunt" down one of the workers only to be told "we dont have that style in your size"...I asked where the coats were and she pointed. Great selection of apparel that no man living in Oahu will ever need. However, if you are a visitor or a resident about to travel to cooler climes this is a great place to get outfitted. The size and selection is larger than most H&M's I've encountered, especially in Asia. The shopping is easy, comfortable, and the prices are reasonable. read more

I'm not sure who really reads reviews for clothing stores but I just got to say that this place was horrendous. First of all, the second floor felt more like a haunted house than a clothing store. There were lights missing all over the place, so combine a dimly lit store with a broken sound system blaring music on and off at random times. Additionally, the whole floor seemed to be staffed by just one person who I couldn't even get to checkout my items. When going downstairs to purchase, the cashier was not aware of a discount that the store was advertising in-house and had to call over a manager(I'm assuming) who directed me to a different discount that she had me sign up for. After leaving the store, I realized that the cashier missed removing tags off some of the clothes(which I get happens), but after walking back to the store the "manager" did not offer a quick apology or even eye contact. No one at the store was welcoming and felt more like they were brushing me off to each other. With the kind of service there, the store must be struggling. On the bright side though, if you're looking for a job with seemingly no service standards...maybe give them a call? read more

I heard soo much about H&M so i just HAD to come and shop! lol. Its really pretty inside with a huge selection. but its kinda hard to move around in there. Its crowded with so many people and theres just so many racks of clothes. But I was able to find a lot of really cute stuff!! Theres not a lot of employees working here though. Todd was really helpful in the dressing room. There was ton of people trying on clothes so there was a line but it was moving pretty fast. He was sweet and polite and was honest when we asked his opinion on outfits. A 3rd opinion always makes it easier to decide. The line to pay was kinda long too. Only 2 people ringing people up but we actually didnt wait that long to pay. My cashiers name was Jose and he was super funny and quirky. Tip: jewelry was buy 1 and get 1 free They have great stuff but its not that convenient because of the location. But I hope they open one in Ala Moana. read more

I came here for the first time recently and I must say that I was quite impressed at what I saw. I would say that the store is like a cross between Ross/TJ Maxx/Nordstrom all massed into one. I said Ross/TJ Maxx mainly because of the sales that they offer for the clothes that they have. The whole store is all about men and women fashionable clothing. The first floor is mainly for women and the second floor mainly for men. What tripped me out was the stairs. When you walk up the stairs that to go to the second floor, it's like an illusion of sorts because of how clear/see through it is. They have their own cleaning crew staff to take care of dirty spots on those stairs so I was even more trippin out. They also do have an elevator to go to the second floor as well. The prices range from steals to deals to broke da wallet depending on what kind of items that you are looking at. For the women they have everything from tops, jeans, pants, jackets, to fur coats. Same thing for the guys from shirts, hats, polos, to leather jackets. My first visit their I got a buy one, get one free bow tie so that was pretty cool. What's even cooler about the store is that they have student discounts for 15 percent off! What other semi-high end clothing and fashion store has an offer like that? I guess they put that sale up because the target age group for their stuff is within young adults like myself. The store is in Waikiki on Seaside Ave. Parking well... you know how it goes, however, if you buy something in the store then they will validate their parking for up to 4 hours believe and its like a buck something afterwards. Omg where do I start..we all waited for this store to arrive in Honolulu for years and I shop alot at H&M stores in the mainland...parking was easy.Parked in the waikiki business plaza and if you validate its free..once entering store had a few sales associates roaming around and mind you the store was not busy..no hello..welcome NOTHING....lose points already...I work in retail for 8 years plus forever 21 so I know what customer service is. I roamed around the boring store with so much basic stuff mostly black and white and started to yawn...boy this was the most boring store I ever been to....all all the sales ppl still no hi...nothing..you guys seriously need to re-train all you ppl or hire ppl that deserve to work there cause they act so stuck up like you guys wrk at hermes or sumthing....give me a break...then i already read they didnt have bathrooms so I asked the sales associate where is the nearest bathroom outside was....she was like ummmm across the street....NO f way...where???? As a member of the typical male sex I don't shop very often. Of course unless i'm out on bag carrying duty for my lady's long shopping sprees. When I do go out shopping I go out here and find everything I need to last me the year. The clothing aren't levies durable but you get what you pay for. Some might complain about inattentive employees, but I personally love that. I only wish to be in the store for 15 minutes tops and do not want to be dogged around thank you very much. read more

Although I am excited for H&M, they really have the worst check out system on the planet -- there are 3 lines open for their busiest location and everyone is switching Lines trying to get into a shorter line ... Today I went to check out H&M and it was not a good experience. Their were having a but one get one sale on accessories. I founds some really good deals and some cute hair accessory that I wanted (found under one of there buy one get one signs.) So when checking out that item didn't ring up as part of the buy one get one I asked to speak to a manager for clarification on whether one not it was part of the sale. We walked over to where I found the accessory and I simply asked why there was a sign on this fixture if non of these items was part of the sale, when there was mix item. All he said was its miss places and if you read the sign it says sale items. This manager named Nate, continue to raise his voice at me to the point he was yelling at me and could be heard clear across the store. When I asked him to stop yelling at me he said "I'm not yelling at you," as he was yelling that at me. He was very rude and unprofessional. And also told me I need to learn to read signs. After leaving the store I called HR and they took me statement and offered to send me coupons to go shopping at this store again. Like I was to go back and shop and be treated this way again, NO THANK YOU. If you do decide to go to this store and park in there parking structure and hope to get your parking validated, be prepared to spend $30 minimally to get it validated. read more

I've lived in Copenhagen and was excited to see one of my European stores here in Honolulu disappointed it was a small store, but its awfully crowded and lots of competion for your money.
