Lyanna the store manager and Mikiko Shoji the Supervisor helped me and made sure I got everything I wanted. They assisted with styling and oredered any items for me that were sold out in my size. The staff there very cordial and friendly knows their brand very well. I like it when they explain it in details of each items we saw. They was friendly to assist with professionalism. All staff understand at least some Japanese. The place is packed with Japanese tourists. Some of the items were almost 50% off the original pricing. I ended up buying a tank shirt. They have clothes and forward for dudes, women and children. There are items not on sale that looked much more fashionable. That is usually the case, right? I know Diesel is a bit pricey but the quality especially in their denim is sooo worth the splurge especially because there is a specific fit for almost every type of person. Look on tags or inside the waistband of the denim and red, yellow green stitching on the inside will indicate that it's made in Italy. Surely just that itself screams luxury! There are a few nylon jackets that are sold there that use the exact same nylon fabric as they do in Prada. Luxurious feel and not a bit pretentious! Friendly and fun staff to shop with. read more

I agree with how pedestrian this brand has become. I remember coming here once because my boards shorts are loose and the swim shop doesn't have anything smaller. So I have to get some trunks and Diesel comes to mind for having some skanky trunks. Cause that's because I don't want to wear my cotton trunks to the beach and ruin it. Voila. They have it. I know Diesel is for wannabes... (come on..ripped jeans with stains for how much $$$$) but I used to appreciate their styles + designs. (No more. I'm over it and over buying it for people as gifts...) The first time I stepped into this store to exchange something, I had the worst experience ever. Sarah and Chad were stuck up, ignored everyone, and it seemed that although they had 8 workers hovered around the cashdesk, only 1 knew how to do anything. They kept telling me my receipt wasn't valid and wouldn't charge it back to me. My credit card number (the last 4) were ON THE RECEIPT. It was horrible. That and being surrounded by a mob of japanese hipster tourists...I got out of their as fast as I could. If the manager is going to hire only their friends, can they at least train them on how to ring up a sale, exchange, and return? The Ala Moana store is moderately better but it still sucks *ss, plain and honest. But really, if you want the same style, support a local brand--- RVCA. Hop over to Lewers street, near the Yard House, Crissy + co. at Aloha Army (In4mation) are helpful, nice, considerate, capable, and very very cool. read more

So my bestie wanted to change his clothes because he didn't like what he was currently wearing. We were in Waikiki and we had decided to go to Diesel..that's just because American Apparel wasn't there. We were sorely disappointed. Worse I saw two people trying to talk to Japanese customers in ENGLISH! They knew no ounce of Japanese. Um..okay. To put the cherry on top of that, none of them greeted us, and one of them with the beanie/beard took out his phone! Okay..class to "donkey-butt" all in less than 5 minutes of our time there. Environment: When you walk in here, everything is pristine. Even the employees are dressed quite nicely. You cannot help, but to stop and look at what they are wearing before moving on. Don't confuse this with how they look, because I did not find them attractive. Employees: Upon entering the store, my bestie and I did not even receive a greeting, just a blank stare. In addition to this, while I was looking around, the guy with the beanie took out his phone and started messing around with it. Totally unprofessional! Furthermore, there were Japanese customers there and both of the employees had no idea how to communicate with them. I was puzzled. You are in Waikiki where people from Japan are affluent. I just watched the utter embarrassment. What was one thoughtful gesture the guy in the beard asked me, while my bestie was trying clothes, was if I wanted to have a sit somewhere while I wait. Product: I am not sure if I am not in the scene or not, but I did not find anything that was nice in there. Some watches were too big for my frail/asian hands and had superfluous attachments to them that made it more of a burden than something amazing. The clothes appeared mediocre and the quality was similar to that of Uniqlou. There was one pair of shorts that my bestie wanted. I felt it in and out and the quality did not seem great for the price it was asking for. I am not foolish, clothes are just like medications - you are just buying the brand. I am absolutely in love with Diesel. Their extroverted style and flair for contemporary fashion makes me feel at home. Their trendy, unorthodox styles is perfect for me because that's what I love! Upon visiting this store, it's just as compact as the one at Ala Moana, however I prefer this store simply because of the service and less traffic (depending on the time of day) Although the store is small, it still packs a punch! There is still an adequate amount of selection to choose from--I've shopped on their online store and there's much more selection, but it's nice to see some of it in person. When I visited this store, my intentions were to get one thing and see what went on from there. Shopping a lot, working in retail myself and being an Elite, I like to test the skills of their employees to see if I'm impressed or not. I was helped by Sime. He was friendly and gave good product knowledge, when asked. If only he asked me more open-ended questions because he was under the impression I was just going to get one thing, I wanted to see his selling skills so I had to push him! I came in with no spending limit and I'm in love with this store, so I'll practically buy anything. As an expert client advisor, he can improve on getting to know me more so he could style me from head to toe (that's your UPT). Upon styling, show me higher priced items first, then work your way down; shoes first, then socks, etc, (that'll help your AUR) also giving more product knowledge and styling advice; I wasn't sure about the shoes I tried and I questioned a leather jacket, if you were to find out the underlining reason as to why it wasn't perfect for me and suggested what I could do to make it perfect, it would make the buying process much more smoother. For one of the shoes I liked, they didn't have my size, so they ordered it for me and it arrived four days later to the store--with an option to mail to my address or their store. Lastly, I kept feeling an awkward moment for when they tried to break away or stopped talking about a certain subject.. the manager and him sort of just stopped talking and stood there looking at me. I was thinking.. hmm do you guys know what to do next, or do I have to do it myself? Next time, try: reinstating our accomplishments so far then bringing the conversation to a conclusion by either asking more open-ended questions or even an assignment for me. Nonetheless, the service is friendly and this is a lovely store to shop at especially in such a great location! The tall asian sales guy was super helpful and not pushy. Did not try to get me to buy everything in the store and was sincerely interested in making sure what I purchased was right for me. He was an A+ act and because of this I bought more than I should have. I know I am cool but now I look cooler because of him, HA. I am not one to follow anyone's trend but the jeans I purchased have a great fit and good look. don't you hate it when you try on some killer jeans but when you look at the mirror they tend to make your butt all saggy! well not the jeans at diesel. the main reason why i shop at diesel is for their jeans. it makes my ass look good. i also love the clothes as they are funky and aren't as loud. they also sell great footwear that are really comfortable. i still use a pair of shoes that i bought almost four years ago to go for a walk. their lingerie line is also flirtatious and fun. i also love handbag selections are they are unique and yet funky at the same time. i like this store better than the location at ala moana as they carry better selections; no both stores don't carry the same things. the sales associate are much nicer and they actually know my name (that shows you how much i am in there). i'm always being invited to their parties and they always let me know when something new that i might like comes in. read more
