Went to try this place that took over the old seafood place. We got the lunch special which consisted of a gyro, fries and can of pop. Fairly priced at 10.99. Next time I will get the jumbo gyro with double the meat, since I was still hungry. My wife said the size was fine for her. They were very good. You can get chicken swarma instead of the gyro. They also had plates and salads. Good size menu.

Just wanted to come back on to say how great Gyrolicious Grill is and how happy I am that they seem to be doing well in Anderson! The gyro platter, Greek salad with chicken, spanakopita, falafel, and hummus is always so good! Very friendly staff. Love this place.

    Dead flying garlic sauce

This was my first time trying this spot and 1) There was a dead fly in my side of garlic sauce and 2) I asked for no tomatoes on my gyro (confirmed on my receipt) but sure enough they were still on there. Was this a prank? I won't be back.

My boss suggested this spot for gyros and I'd never heard of it before so I was instantly curious. I'm always a fan of Mediterranean food in general, and overall, I was pretty impressed by this spot. It's a small place with big character and flavor. We stopped by on a Thursday for lunch. The place itself is fairly small and parking can be a little tricky since their lot is small too. Still, there's on-street parking nearby too. Their menu is bigger than I'd expected with lots of great options from shareables to lunch and dinner options and desserts. They have a cooler with different soft drinks and waters though no adult libations. You order up at the counter and they'll bring your food to you when it's ready. We got an order of samosas, order of musakhan rolls, I got the Gyrolicious platter for my main, and my boss got the Gyrolicious wrap and garlic fries for his. We hardly waited long at all before everything was ready. Everything looked AND tasted great. The portion size for my platter was so much that I couldn't finish it all and had enough for lunch the next day. Plus everything was excellent price-wise. This is a really good lunch spot and kind of a hidden gem on Salem. All the staff are very friendly too. I could see going here again potentially with my lady of course.

Stopped by for a midweek lunch for carry out. I got the super gyro. Perfect with a good amount of meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and lettuce. Good well and still warm when I got home. I ordered in store and it was ready within 5 minutes. Extremely nice people, give them a try!

Loved it! First things first, though, pull hard on the door if it's during business hours. It's not locked... just sticks. I'm sure they'll get that figured out. My wife and I went and I had the gyro wrap while she had the chicken shawarma wrap. The gyro was fantastic. My wife liked her wrap enough that she returned there today (a couple of days later) to take her mom. On the first visit, both the husband and wife owners came to check on us, and brought a cup of lentil soup that I genuinely loved. (I had never had lentil soup before, but I'm a fan now.) When my wife returned today, they remembered how I loved the soup and sent her home with a free large container of it for me! Very thoughtful (and I'm enjoying right now). I love that there's a little bit of open space there. They didn't simply cram in as many tables as possible. Thanks to the excellent food and the thoughtful service by the business owners, I'm looking forward to our next visit. And the next.

I had the Greek Salad with Gyro meat. It was delicious! I highly recommend. If you are in the area, stop by and give them a try.

Everything here was perfect! We got a warm greeting immediately upon entering, took menus from the counter and chose a table. After ordering at the counter, our Chicken Shawarma Platter and Gyro Platter arrived quickly, presented beautifully, with pitas quarters on another plate. The chicken was delicious, spiced so perfectly! Husband's gyro was the best we've had. We said the same about the hummus! Just the perfect citrusy flavor with good olive oil. We enjoyed our food and will return.

Food: 5/5 Dishes are explained as slightly larger plates than tapas style. My favorites: Wood Grilled Octopus, Crispy Falafel, Bouillabaisse. Love the Moroccan Mint Tea as well! Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.

I feel that the…read more'personal touch' of a family owned restaurant is both unique and becoming harder to find. If this appeals to you, try this place. Their service makes you quickly feel right at home, and that continues throughout the meal. There were five of us, so we ordered several dishes to share. The hummus was fresh, the falafel was crispy on the outside and tasty, the lamb was tender, and the lahmacun ('Turkish pizza' for those that haven't tried this) was outstanding. The Lahmacun reminded me of my visit to a Turkish restaurant in Kazakhstan many years ago -- it was that good. My adult kids also had the salmon and a chicken sauté and loved both... I almost lost a finger getting a nibble. The drinks and desserts were also spot on. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and has seating to accommodate larger groups, so bring your friends and family and share. One recommendation for the Cafe -- we wish the lighting were a bit dimmer. Seemed a little bright in the main dining area. Other than that, thanks for a great night.

The salmon wasn't as "well done" as I would have preferred but still very good. The cooked veggies were seasoned very well too. It's a great date night spot or for a girls night.
