When we called to make reservations, we were told that they *usually* serve brunch (i.e., breakfast food) on Saturdays and Sundays, but they would not be doing so on Mother's Day because... well, Mother's Day. My mother-in-law doesn't like eggs, so totally fine! We proceeded with excitement. When we drove up we realized it was right next door to Greek Family Kitchen on Union Turnpike; a restaurant we've been to many, many times. It turns out that this restaurant is by the same owners. This was promising news, as we've always loved the food there! We were initially seated at a table at the front half of the restaurant, but another (very large) party was seated next to us and one of the children was watching cartoons loudly on an iPad with no headphones, so we asked if we could be moved outside or to the other end of the restaurant so we wouldn't have to be near the untenable racket. The staff was very kind and understanding, and moved us to the patio. There was a small hiccup with service, in that we were given a warm bottle of rosé -- I've worked service industry before, and I know how to chill a bottle in about five minutes (the old "spin it in the ice bucket with water" trick). I also know you shouldn't put a warm bottle of white or rosé wine at the table in front of a customer. The bottle should've been chilled in the kitchen, the wait station or behind the bar before it was taken to our table. But this is really a small matter -- not even worthy of docking half a star. We ordered zucchini chips, saganaki and a caesar salad to start -- splitting all. Delicious! We knew the dining experience would be elevated compared to the sister restaurant next door just by glancing around the dining room, but the food told us immediately that we were in for an upscale experience that rivaled the food we've always loved at the more down-home Greek Family Kitchen. Our mains arrived shortly thereafter (the Linguini Puttanesca and the Pear & Gorgonzola Ravioli) and did not disappoint. The food was light but also satisfying. Of course we sprang for dessert, too (it was Mother's Day, after all!). We got the Dubai Chocolate, which was rich but light all at the same time, replete with a snaking line of chocolate sauce across the plate which was interrupted at intervals with sprinklings of edible gold. Couldn't have been more pleased with what turned out to be a fantastically appropriate Mother's Day locale. We will definitely be returning!

The shop is really small and really easy to miss. The food: Spinach Swirl- I am not 100% sure if this is the item I enjoyed the most but it's a pastry that is spun in a circle kinda looks like those sausages from a street fair. To me this taste like a Spanakopita but in a round form. I don't normally love feta since it's too much of a sharp flavor, but this was amazing. The phyllo dough was nice and flakey but the thing I enjoyed the most was how un-oily and un-greasy it was. I highly recommend this.

Saw the reviews and decided to give Sevan Restaurant a try. First thing, this is an Armenian restaurant designed for catering a party or special event. Very opulent in its decor. My friend and I had a round table that normally seat more than 4 people and we ended up with a lot of table space! Our server was very polite and attentive. We ordered a babaganoush, a pita pizza that's folded in half with ground beef, a Mediterranean salad and a kabob combo over rice. Food was tasty and loved the salad dressing. Unfortunately, over the last few months, the quality and attention to detail have really been falling off. Whenever I place an order through the app, I make sure to select specific sauces and leave special instructions. Lately, these are completely ignored. The food arrives without any of the selected sauces, making the meals extra dry and tough to eat. I'm really not sure why basic instructions are being missed, but it takes all the joy out of what used to be a great meal. I want nothing more than to see this place get back to the standard I know they are capable of, but until these basic order accuracy issues are fixed, I won't be ordering again

Came with some friends for lunch. We all got various combinations of the mixed plate and an order of fried calamari. The calamari was lightly breaded in a flaky batter that brought out the flavors of the squid. Cooked to perfection it was tender, not chewy. As for the mixed platters, we had lamb gyro and the souvlakis as well as the lemon potatoes and fries. The lemon potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had a nice tartness to each bite. The lamb gyro was tender. The chicken souvlaki being moist and flavorful is the barometer for the level of detail that goes into every plate served.

We ordered the branzino, grilled octopus, and Black Sea bass, and each dish showcased impeccably fresh seafood, prepared with restraint and confidence rather than unnecessary embellishment. Those are my two favorite things to order at a Greek restaurant except for here! Both were the most disappointing Greek appetizers I ever ordered. The salad had no dressing and no seasoning whatsoever! The cucumbers were hard because they weren't ripe yet. I told the waiter, and he simply said they don't put dressing or seasoning because not everyone likes it which makes zero sense to me. The Saganaki cheese had no seasoning and the coating was soft. Luckily the dinners ended up being very good! We had the pastitsio, methismeness, and a chicken kebab. The pastitsio and the methismeness were DELICIOUS! The chicken kebab needed more seasoning, and it didn't come with any tzatziki sauce which was strange since we are in a Greek restaurant!
