These guys have been around for years and just get better and better. Was in the store last night and was surprised how the inventory as grown. It has to be one of the best stocked gun stores in Utah. The staff is really friendly and listenes to what you need and makes recommendations. So many gun stores try to sell you what they want you to have now what works the best for you. You can also find some great clothes there as well as firearms accessories. As first time gun buyers my husband and I didn't know exactly what to expect. Ron walked us completely through the process. He was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable. After we selected our firearm and the necessary paperwork and background checks were completed, Ron then helped us (at our request) find holsters based on our needs. He described the pros and cons of the different types of holsters and we felt very comfortable with our selections with his help. He wasn't pushy or annoying salesman-like at all. Just a guy who knows his stuff and was very willing to help. Did I mention he was helpful??? We were satisfied with the price we paid for all our merchandise, including ammunition. The store is a little chaotic but with employees like the ones we dealt with both at the firearm counter as well as the checkout stand, I'm confident you could find anything you needed there. read more

Gunnies has absolutely terrible Customer Service. After purchasing a new weapon at their location, I was rejected the purchase of ammunition being told that I had not yet spent enough money in their store to qualify. Absolute garbage. After having spent upwards of 1000$, they refused to sell me a 20rnd box of .40 S&W. This occured immediately after the same guy sold a box to his friend who had arrived in line just barely ahead of me. They had plenty of .40 cal on the wall immediately behind him. While calling in to gather information on gun and ammo prices, and after having been put on hold for more than 15min., I was met with a disgruntled worker unwilling to supply me with any information stating that "I had better drive down there" as opposed to him being able to tell me what was in stock. Rude, inconsistent, and un-educated. I've been an avid collector and hunter for 20+ years and have never run into such garbage. Go to Cabela's. read more

They have great selection but we went there with only 3 customers inside. They probably have 11 employees and they had two of them working at the front check out and the rest were just chilling. When we asked them if we could check out they said 'yes as the front' and continued talking amongst themselves. We waited in line for probably 12 minutes for just 1 dude when any employee could've helped us. Probably won't go back. Go elsewhere read more

This place is fantastic. I've traveled all throughout the US going to gun expos, shows, stores you name it and gunnies is on top. They are practically a dealer for every company imaginable, their selection is massive, their prices fair, and they have great customer service. This store had a decent selection and ok prices but the service representative that helped me was rude and condescending beyond belief. The behaviors were so unprofessional that I will never return. I even tried to share the feedback but it turned out the salesperson was the son of the owner and instead of addressing the issue with the employee they said I could go somewhere else. This was after 2 other patrons shared with the staff how rude the son of the owner was. I spoke with the owner directly and he was a quiet heavy set gentleman but he could not accept that his son needed coaching. Very sad when a "spoiled" full grown child is allowed to behave so brashly. I have "fired" vendor and will never return and the other guests that witnessed the behavior agreed with my assessment. This was a while ago now but i felt it was important to make the public aware of the risks associated with shopping here. The other time I visited the sales reps were all professional but that doesn't compensate for one of the worst customer experiences in my life! read more

Called on the phone to see if they had a gun in stock. They told me they did and I told them I'd be right there to pick it up. I got there and they had just sold it to someone else. That happens. I get it. Can't be upset about that. But the way they treated me was awful. No apologies for driving 20 minutes for nothing. No information about possibly backordering or calling when more stock came in. All I got was, "We sold it." Then I asked about another rifle of the same style that I saw on display. "Sold", was the response I got. Bunch of jerks. I guess that's what happens when you get that big. I was ready to spend $4-5k there today on several firearms. Come on guys, let's try to write some accurate reviews. They clearly don't deserve one star or no stars. Maybe one employee or an individual deserves no stars. I have no affiliation with Gunnie's so there's no bias here. They have some of the best prices in the whole valley. I've tried to get mad because yes their gun counter is frustrating sometimes and if you call on the phone to talk to the gun counter you'll probably wait a good 20 minutes , but that is because they are very very busy all the time. So I wouldn't write a bad review just because I'm upset I wasn't taken care of like a princess. I will say I have them at four stars and not five because they probably need to manage the amount of employees at the gun counter a little better during the times they are busy. All in all, great prices, great service with knowledge, but you just may have to wait a while. read more

I'm only giving Gunnies one star because I can't submit a 0-star rating. I bought a pair of boots there and the pull-up strap broke on them 5 days later. Took the boots and receipt back and was told that because the boots were "defective", their policy was to give me store credit or another pair of boots. I did not have the option to get my money back, although it clearly states on my receipt that I can get my money back within 30 days with the receipt. They acted as though the boots being defective was my fault. Crummy customer service, Gunnies. I'll never shop there again! read more

This place is the one to go to in Utah county if you are female! Last February, I walked into Get Some Guns and Ammo in Orem looking to buy a pistol. Not one of the salesmen approached me and asked if they could help me. In fact, it took a fellow customer to ask me if I needed anything, and then the customer hailed one of the salesmen to talk to me. I left the store disgusted, and saw Gunnies on the way home. I stepped right in, and right away, the salesmen there treated me the complete opposite of how I was treated at Get Some Guns And Ammo. I bought my first pistol that night from Gunnies. 3 more times I stopped at Get Some and got the same treatment. I experimented, and brought my husband with me the next time I was at their range, and it was a totally different story. The salesmen bent over backward to help me when I was with my husband, and the same thing happened when I came back with my dad. Again, I went back there alone, hoping to get help, and I got the same treatment as before. Back I went to Gunnies, and ever since then, I have purchased two rifles and another pistol from these excellent guys. They really took the time to show me their stock of what I was looking for, and took the time to explain the pros/cons of each gun. I was happy to spend my money at Get Some, but I suspect because I was a woman shopping alone, they did not want to touch me with a 10 foot pole. Too bad, so sad, because Gunnies has earned my loyalty, and between all the guns, ammo, and accessories I have purchased at Gunnies in the last 4 months, I have spent well over $2K. These guys will treat you right, and I am telling all of my female friends to shop at Gunnies because they will be treated with the same respect they treat their male customers. Thank you, Gunnies! I've been going to Gunnies, specifically due to certain people who work there, for many years. At this point, my main contact there is Ron Davies. Ron worked at Gunnies, and then for a short time, he went to Cabelas, and then returned again to Gunnies. I learned that at Cabelas, some of the guys there referred to Ron as "Yoda". Truth be known.. he doesn't look anything like Yoda, but it wasn't his looks that earned him that title... it's simply because Ron practically knows everything. I have not yet had a question he can't answer. Lately, I have been building a rifle and putting the parts together has been a decent sized pain. Ron was there every step of the way and helped me assemble the beast. It now looks wicked cool and I could not have done it without Ron "Yoda" Davies help. He is always pleasant, professional, knowledgable, positive, and ready for a laugh. Honesty is his motto, and I can't tell you how important that is when working in the gun industry. He has saved me from getting chewed out by my wife for almost buying a rifle, telling me, "it'll be here when you are ready, but don't worry about it for now." (paraphrased) I can't say enough about that kind of person behind the counter at Gunnies. If I have questions that some other dude can't answer, Ron knows. I have seen, countless times, other employees run to Ron for about every question you could imagine. He just smiles and helps them out.
