SPORTING AND OUTDOOR HEAVEN! This place has it all for everything you want, anything and everything you can think of. The place is amazing and has the things for kids also. This the ultimate MAN STORE!!!! The big gun library they have and all the guns that are available for purchase. Totally love this place.

I saw that they were doing free 4x6 photos with the Easter Bunny but you have to make an appointment online. I was able to make my appointment on Friday for the following Thursday at 4 pm. I love that Cabela's does the online appointments, I feel like it really cuts down on the rush of people. Once I got there I was a little disappointed with the lack of advertising for the event. There were literally no signs telling you where to go for the event. I started to the back of the store since previous years they have had Santa both behind the mountain on the bottom floor and the top floor. However, the Easter Bunny event was on the main floor in the North West showroom with the North America animals. The line quickly grew but the photographer was quick. Wish they would have given out a little Easter treat or activity like they do for the Santa pictures but still well worth it.

I am surprised by all the ok reviews. Maybe I am biased but I just love every Bass Pro Shop I have been to. This is my first Cabelas. Pretty much the same thing as BPS except it doesn't have all the fish tanks. I remember when I was a kid we used to get all the Cabela catalogs. Always had Cabela products at home. Never had any issues with their branded products. The store layout is easy to navigate. They offered some good deals as well. I will be back and visit any other Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops wherever I go.

Some people go to Cabela's to stock up on fishing supplies or buy a new firearm...not us. We go to Cabela's with our kids for their gigantic taxidermy displays, their fish tank with monstrous fish, and the pond where we can feed the trout for a quarter. (Okay, we also sometimes stock up on fishing/camping supplies too.) This place is like a weird Disneyland - with a food court upstairs, popcorn and fudge that they make, and so many amazing hunting displays of stuffed deer, bears, cougars, birds, etc. And you're thankful for the food because the adults are so happy that you end up staying here for hours (so your kids get all hangry). It's open at 9am until late, 9pm (except on Sundays, when it closes at 7pm), so you can keep your kids up while you walk slowly around with your jaw dropped, admiring the amount of clothing patterned in camouflage, and trying not to give in and buy their spiced nuts. If you bring your firearm with you, you'll have to check in at the little kiosk inside the door. Also check out the bargain cave at the back for lots of markdowns on everything. Little did they know (or maybe they do know and it's a part of their marketing plan!) that we would sometimes just come to Cabela's to buy nothing at all except a dollar's-worth of fish food for the kids to feed the trout. But then we always come here now whenever we need fishing supplies (they have a much better selection than the other outdoor suppliers) or outdoor items too. We love this place.

Fun place to take your toddler. So many animals displays and fish. During the week of Easter, the Easter bunny is there doing pictures. You get one free picture with the Easter bunny.

Lots and lots of dead animals. My toddler loves this place as a museum, though. He could stay in the aquarium section for hours. And he really loved the little pond where you can buy a handful of fish food for a quarter. I don't hunt or fish so I prefer Scheels because of the large clothing selection, but we were in the area and it was worth a looksy.

Gather around, it's storytime! Okay, so the first time I heard of Cabela's I had no idea what it was. I assumed it was a fancy European restaurant of some magnificient stature. So, one day--while driving in the car with a couple of really outdoorsy people--we drove past a sign promoting Cabela's on the freeway so I asked if any of them if they had been and they were all like: "Oh, yeah! It's way awesome! I loved it." And I respond: "Oh, really? Is it Italian food?" Needless to say, they all looked back at me and I had no idea why. "You don't know what Cabela is?" "Isn't it a restaurant?" "........................" Yeah, but now I know what it is. Not only does it sell epic proportions of outdoor equipment that will make you the modern day Paul Bunyan or Paulina Bunyan. It is a natural life museum, aquarium, restaurant, confectionary shop, and arcade all within this trump of all outdoor retailers. If you need anything that deals with the outdoors this place has it. No questions about it. I am not much of a hardcore, gun-ho, nature breathing person but this place has everything for you to get there. Everything and anything. The restaurant that was inside was closed at the time so I stumbled upon a confectionary shop that sold fresh fudge and other goodies. It is slightly expensive but very hyperly sweet and decadent. I had no idea going in that I would be walking out with fudge. I thought it was ironic being my first purchase at Cabela's. Anyways, this place is plainly amazing and I was beyond impressed. I had no idea that such a place could exist! If you have never been you are in for a unique experience!. If you are a devout animal lover then close your eyes at the beginning and run upstairs to the restaurant and other friendly goodies. Oh, Cabela's. You are definitely not the restaurant I expected.

Outdoorsy people paradise. Went there while in Utah to get some stuff for our trip back to San Jose like jerky snacks and other items. I was very impressed with the aquarium and the vast array of gadgets (mostly for guys who like cooking in campings and outdoors, i would say). Cool store with 2 levels and also kind of 'museum' of animals found in the area (that gives me a mixed feeling, as I thought the animals were fake and they are actually taxidermia). Clothes section seems to be over priced for the non-sexy and non-flattering styles I saw.

Writing letters to Santa

Cabela's is an outdoors persons HEAVEN!!! We went to take our kids to see Santa the other night. Our plan was to walk in, find the Jolly Guy in the Red Suit and get out. We found Santa and he was amazing. He was so nice to my kids. They even took pictures and gave us a copy for free, while also allowing us to take our own pictures. After Santa, we wandered the store. My oldest found a toy pump shotgun and "had to have it". Since his birthday was the next day, I allowed him to buy it. Then we wandered into a large animal exhibit and talked about the animals they had there. There is a large aquarium too! My kids absolutely loved the fish. After we left, my 6 yr old asked if we could go back every day!

So when I had a friend mention Mago, I knew it was time to pop in. Situated in the massive shopping complex at Traverse Mountain (the one with Harmons) it's just a little pocket of outdoor vibe. The space is clean and flanked with racks on one side, and shelves on the other, with a few fixtures sprinkled in. I was here on an errand for someone, actually, so I came looking specifically for a long sleeve Patagonia shirt. They had plenty! They do feature a lot of Patagonia, Hippytree, Cotopaxi, and Naturebacks among others, including a few things with their own house brand. It's primarily clothing, and I didn't really look too much into the gear stuff. They had some nice sweatshirts, tees, and long tees. With those brands, you can imagine that they're not giving the stuff away. Long tees were anywhere from $25 to $50. That's about par for the course on the stuff, so not unreasonable so far as comparison shopping goes. I dig the vibe, I dig what they're into. It's a small store so you can pretty much peruse everything and see what they're about in one trip, but with changing inventory you have plenty of reason to come back again.

I met up with them, but noticed a store in the strip that caught my attention. They had Patagonia, Cotopaxi, and some other brands I recognized, so I ditched the girls and went over to check it out. This store is awesome! It has a nice vibe and a great assortment of comfortable and useful clothing, gear, bags, etc for outdoor types. Definitely has the mountain vibe that compliments the nearby mountain ranges! One of the owners, Amber, was super friendly and helpful and I really loved the selection of clothing and accessories in the store. If you are looking for a local boutique to feel the outdoor Utah spirit, MAGO is the place to visit!

It keeps me warm in cool weather and freezing cold weather, but I'm also able to wear this jacket in sweatshirt type weather without overheating. So if you don't know by now, I love my jacket. The clothing line is kinda limited to jackets and warmer clothing, but they are emerging with shirts, shorts, and pants. However, their jackets are their bread and butter. They have awesome colors and different styles of jackets. Last time I checked they had some amazing looking, bright, 100% polyester hiking/running shirts for sale that I want to buy. Most down jackets come with a stuff pouch for packing and camping. Everything in their store has a 100% manufacture guaranteed: "We design our products for quality, performance, and sustainability. We will repair or replace any product we make with a manufacturing defect, free of charge." Service: A The store is great, with helpful employees. You'll probably be greeted and welcomed to the store and asked if they can help you with anything. When I bought my jacket the zipper had some issues so they took back my jacket after examining it and sent a new one to my house. Price: A- You might spend $100 on a jacket, but you will be warm and comfortable for the entire Winter and the Winters to come. I have other jackets, but I always find myself wearing my GoLite 800 fill down jacket. These product are 100% worth the price, I'd say you are even getting a steal of a deal. I am completely satisfied with my purchase, the price I paid, and how comfortable I am in my jacket.

I had no intention of stopping in today, but thought what the heck I'll just look around and see what they have at the outlet store. Maybe they have something for my trip that is coming up. They were having a sale so Yes! of course I bought some new trail shoes. I only wear hiking boots when I hike, but thought I would give their shoes a try, especially since it's been so hot, my feet sweat in my boots. Salesman was very helpful guiding me to the pair of trail runners I bought. He was very knowledgeable about the different "type" of shoes. I had on my own New Balance shoes, and he explained the construction behind them. Oh so that's why I like them, and they are so comfortable on my feet! He said never to put your shoes in the washer, and to use a cleaning solutions instead. They had some there so I bought some. Note: he never pressured me into buying the cleaner, he said any cleaner would do. Now the test is... can the shoes at the outlet vs the shoes at a regular store pass my new balance comfort test. We shall see.

However, the impression the staff left me had changed my views on salesman and how my shopping experience can be different. I had a 5-star experience with Brett and I'm so glad he approached me. Brett genuinely asked me a few questions to understand what I was looking for in shoes. I had a general idea of what shoes I wanted and I preferred to try them on on my own. I even told him that I wasn't sure if New Balance was the right place. I was not only wrong, but Brett understood exactly what to suggest based on my answers. My foot size was remeasured as part of the fitting process. To my surprise, I was also wrong about my shoe size and it was confirmed by trying on 4 different pairs of shoes. (Professional fit: shoe fitting in the morning is the most accurate - this is important for people with diabetes to find the right fit). With Brett's help, I made educated decisions, which is what I look for when I help others, too. Brett was genuine, patient, gentle, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and not pushy at all. As an observant person and someone who has experience interviewing candidates in the past, I'm confident to say he is capable of helping all ages of customers. From looking up Hoka online to checking out New Balance at Outlets, here are my wins: - Tried out the 1080 v14 (I genuinely think everyone should have a pair of these) - Know what my updated shoe size is - Got the best deal with current discounts, clearance, and BOGO 50% off (staff can help you look up which pair of shoes are on clearance and order them for you if the color isn't in store) New Balance provides shoes with fresh foam comfort, wide toe box, and arch support - everything I look for in a pair of shoes from everyday wear to running (plus the discount benefit at outlet). I ended up not getting in and out quick at all, but my visit was wonderful because I let Brett help me. I was impressed by the service provided here.
