He clearly knows his stuff and explains everything in a way that's easy to understand, whether you're brand new or have some experience. I walked away feeling way more confident and informed, not just about the laws but about responsible carrying in general. If you're on the fence about taking a class, this is 100% worth it--Chris makes the time fly by.

The first instructor spent a large part of the class on unrelated political topics -- including Sharia law, Islam, and the current Virginia governor -- instead of focusing on firearm safety or laws. It felt more like a political soapbox than an educational course. The second instructor did stay more on topic, but then shifted into promoting a legal protection membership (USCCA) that costs about $400 a year, which came across more like a sales pitch than meaningful training. Overall, I left feeling that the class didn't deliver what was advertised. I expected professional instruction on concealed carry requirements, but instead got politics and promotions. I don't think it was worth what I paid, and I'd hesitate to recommend it to others unless the course content is refocused on actual firearms education.
