They stock many treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, ab rollers, exercise bikes, and lots more. We talked to the owner, Jon, while we were there and he was very helpful. We stopped by Utah Home Fitness to rent ElliptiGOs actually, a sort of bicycle meets elliptical machine invention. We rent them for four hours through a Groupon and actually had a lot of fun riding them. It was a little difficult to get used to at first, but after awhile the ElliptiGOs were great fun. If you haven't seen one in action, Google it. If you need equipment for your home gym, Utah Home Fitness seems like the place to go. I was impressed. Support local business.

Not only did he find the equipment, he had everything set aside for me when I went to pick it up making it an easy process and purchase. No idea where to go... at each entrance there are service stations where you may purchase your items or ask questions. I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

Sorry to do this but things are very different at Scheels than in the past…read more I spent 30 minutes in the Kuhl department and no one even offered help or bothered to say hello. (I had several questions) 10 minutes in golf department. Same story. 20 minutes in BBQ and the two guys there seemed more worried about the display looking great than offering help. I've always loved Scheels but I am very disappointed with the current lake of service or lack of. I hope things improve! (I only spent $250)

My husband had to call multiple times for one of the girls up at the register to come and help us with shoe sizes. Both girls on their phones, up front. Finally, one of the girls notice and starts to walk back towards us. Then a guy comes walking out of who knows where, approaching the girl and telling her she needed to stay at the back end and watch the area. Perhaps the store manager? He handled the situation very professionally and the girl stayed at the back end. I mean come on, if you have customers in your store you should NOT be on your phone unless you're on your own time, like on lunch. What a crazy generation we live in now. We finally got assisted, tried on sizes and we were ready to check out. At the register, another customer walks in and THAT person is greeted with a "welcome in". Uumm, yeah, I wasn't expecting that because we weren't greeted when both girls were taking care of a previous customer. Strange. They had sales going on and while walking around looking at the sales, they weren't too bad. I haven't shopped at a BIG 5 in over 9 years. So I'm not too sure what their prices would be like. They seemed pretty cheap compared to DICKS sporting goods and Scheels. The store is clean and organized and well maintained. They have an average amount of inventory, not a whole bunch. We needed navy blue leggings. All we saw were black, dark grey and multi-colored ones. Not a whole lot of color options to choose from. The sizes range from S-XXL and you'll be able to find the sizes needed because they're stocked up with each size between that range. Overall store quality is nice. Customer service, could be MUCH better. For me, the service is always my first impression as soon as I step into the doors. There's no time to be an unhappy or distracted retail worker. You're on the clock. It doesn't take a lot of energy to throw on a smile and greet everyone walking through the doors.

I was very impressed with the manager who I interacted with several times as well as the other employees encountered. The manager even helped load it in my van. having started to lift regularly again a few years ago I started to invest into am Olympic barbell…read moreand weights. To start both powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting to get back into shape. luckily it was something that I could do regularly when everything was locked down. In the Olympic lifts there is a lot of dropping the barbell at heights over your head. so the last thing you want are the plates to be flying different directions. Also in powerlifting when weights start getting heavy and the barbell starts to bend the you dont want the whip of the bar to cause the plates to slide and cause an asymetry. So I initially bought Clout Collars due to so many universally good reviews. After a few years I noticed that the plates were slipping more and more and definitely with the Olumpics sometimes the collars would pop open. No bueno. So I wrote to them and they more than glad to replace them. Lifretime warranty? yes! that's pretty awesome. they sent me a set of new collars and it was a dramatic difference. with almost full bar of plates I dropped from shoulder height had only a few millimeters of shift. Now obviously these arent the Olympic style clamp down collars. They're an easy to use Lockjaw style. But for the price/performance value and lifretime warranty they're definitely more than worth it
