I found Ferragamo for 76% off or some crazy markdown. I could not afford full price Ferragamo. Amd got a fancy hard shell Ferragamo sunglass case. The store was laid out differently than the Sandy location so was a weird experience passing the front entrance and not seeing the checkout on the left wall as you enter the store... for those with a compass, near the northeast area of the store. The young lady helping me was cool and helpful.

We left and called this store to order some boots that liked online that ended up being the wrong size. We were offered the opportunity to return them initially or go to another red wing store. No red wing store had them in stock so we called Orem to ask if we could order the right pair. We were told we would get a call back from Aimee in 30 minutes when she got to work but it ended being 4 days later. To our surprise it was the manager of whom we had never spoken to outside of just seeing him at Orem who called and refused to help. He stated that we knew it was a discount store and that all sales are final. We told him that although they are a discount store, we called in to give Aimee the commission on creating an order for us on a style we viewed online and that they were the wrong size. We told him that we needed to hurry and get a solution to this situation but he refused and started to give us a number for customers care then hung up. We called back and got no answer.Now we are stuck with a pair of boots that don't fit. If you go here and see a guy with a long beard with an attitude. Walk out. This Red Wing franchise doesn't deserve to be associated with such a good boot maker. Update: no thanks to Orem customer care helped and sent the right boots and a return label for the ones that don't fit. To my surprise, the conversation was less than 5 minutes. Orem definitely could've done better, they just chose not to.

However, the impression the staff left me had changed my views on salesman and how my shopping experience can be different. I had a 5-star experience with Brett and I'm so glad he approached me. Brett genuinely asked me a few questions to understand what I was looking for in shoes. I had a general idea of what shoes I wanted and I preferred to try them on on my own. I even told him that I wasn't sure if New Balance was the right place. I was not only wrong, but Brett understood exactly what to suggest based on my answers. My foot size was remeasured as part of the fitting process. To my surprise, I was also wrong about my shoe size and it was confirmed by trying on 4 different pairs of shoes. (Professional fit: shoe fitting in the morning is the most accurate - this is important for people with diabetes to find the right fit). With Brett's help, I made educated decisions, which is what I look for when I help others, too. Brett was genuine, patient, gentle, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and not pushy at all. As an observant person and someone who has experience interviewing candidates in the past, I'm confident to say he is capable of helping all ages of customers.
